Hi I recently bought this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mining-Rig-Case-Crypto-Bitcoin-Ethereum-Ready-To-Mine-Just-Add-Your-GPUs/255121604872I set-up the PSU & SSD and spoke to the seller of the item, but he wasn't able to get the rig working from taking his advice. I did take his advice of sticking in 1 of the PCI cables directly into the MOBO(I asked him which slot they go, but he never answered and said any!) & I took his advice as to where the Power SW went which come with the rig, and he just said next to the empty slot! I tried all that with a version of Windows on USB stick ready to install(I've used stick to install Windows on some old PCs), and added 3 GPUs to begin with. I switched power on and the noise was louder than i anticipated(is this normal, it was like X10 the sound of a normal PC, which i can hear through walls in my house.) I used the integrated HDMI & 1 of the GPUs but was still getting no signal to my TV. I then took out all the GPUs, and tried just the integrated HDMI and still nothing. I then tried just 1 GPU in the number 1 slot on the MOBO, still no signal. I'm presuming the power out and power in slots may have something to do with it, there are loads of those numbered(i just stuck 1 PCI in a power in, as he requested.) Right now i'm not sure what to do, thanks for listening.

what exactly produces x10 noise? PSU? do you get any beep signals from MBD? if the PSU and all GPUs are safely working I would check the ram memory. it is probably much better to move this topic to the mining section of this forum. I believe there are more people out there who can help you and they are not visiting this part of the forum Try here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=76.0

There were power in and power out on the MOBO, i stuck it in power in, was that correct? MOBO lit up as did all the added GPUs lights, but i tried all of their HDMI slots and got no signal, i tried the integrated HDMI slot as well. I did ask him about RAM, after the purchase and he said the 4GB in his description, is integrated into the MOBO, so i took his word for it. TY

Any signals from there? I saw one memory module in the slot on the board. It seems to be regular and not integrated. Try without them also. due to oxidation, the contacts on the memory may weaken. All you have to do is take it out and put it back. (you definitely need to make sure everything is ok with memory) edit: I saw on the picture, there is no CMOS battery on the board. it may not have to be mandatory, but it would be desirable to put it on.

Well spotted, i couldn't even see the RAM stick! Where about on the board are they? I just want to make sure I'm taking out correct hardware. TY I'll take your advice and reseat the RAM after i found it.

Well, sounds you are haven't much experience with hardware. be sure to check all connections once again to make sure they are good. Did you put the GPU's in well? Check twice or more times. Here is RAM (green card with chips) Also, check there below the GPU seen in the picture, there is an empty battery slot. put the battery in too also.

you say there is no signal in your display, I'd make sur your pcie slot of your gpu is powered: I would connect a x6pcie (from the psu) on the connector named " POWER_CUT1 ", we can see it on the 4th&6th photos which should be what powers the first pcie gpu slot (where is your gpu) I would connect your display hdmi to your gpu hdmi connector the red light seems to be on the (msata) disk ? maybe you can try to remove and re seat it again, or remove this disk and boot without it to see if you can access & see the bios, and if the disk is faulty just use another one (sata connector, be it ssd, hdd or even usb stick with os on it) I never had a riserless motherboard but this is what I would try if I were in your case. power_cut1 connector: https://ibb.co/L0fLXn8overall: https://ibb.co/kgtqFhC

I've got a feeling it might be that. TY

If you have tried all the connection options, then you need POST Card PCI Digital PC Fault Analyzer https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002260813974.htmlEither take the motherboard for diagnostics, or purchase this hardware to diagnose the motherboard.

Don't think that is an issue, the seller of the rig has a picture with a green light on the sata drive and no battery and is running fine. I also found out i had to put in all of the power connectors, done that and found out the real Power SW, done that as well. Same result, no signal! Driving me insane just for a product to "add GPUs." Which i expected to be done in 5 minutes, not 5 weeks. Thanks all for your help, if worse comes to the worse, there's a PC repair shop just round the corner, I'd probably get in there, and see if they can fix it if this board can't. Worth a go myself, before getting a new item fixed! hahah

Looking at your ebay link there is a cmos battery seated on it in all the pictures except the first one with the green light. If I am correct it probably is a CR2032 battery by the looks of it. There are some boards who have difficulty with posting without a cmos battery. The cost of a battery ia just a few pounds or pence. Always start with the basics first.

0, is that error in self test? So, basically a human error? Could it be the battery? That is still on its way, Ty

https://i.imgur.com/3LKpAAn.jpgSo, in the end, did you solve your problem here? It can be complicated when you did that there was no experience with hardware. even if you get all the tools that other users have suggested to you, that doesn't mean you can easily solve the problem.
