Weekend trading can vary depending on how active the markets are. Right now since we broke ATH last week I would be careful about fading any weekend moves. What that means is that say out of the blue we get some large pump, don’t short that pump. Might be a real move.

However usually in the past, especially in the summer we would get some pump or dump on the weekend at a strange hour and usually most of the time the moves would fade. Basically people chased the move and ended up buying the top or selling the bottom and it went back into the range.

Hello friends happy weekend to you all.
Happy Monday already buddy! Time to lock the thread now? Tongue

Quote
What do you think about Saturday and Sunday trading
I have found both action and stagnancy. I am of the opinion that weekends would mean lesser activity than general because retail investors rest on these days. But traders maybe dont.

Quote
Considering it with week days which do you see as profitable or they are just the same thing to you.
Profitable is a relative term. If you have both fiat and bitcoin at hand you can go both ways, provided your timing of buying/selling is correct then yes you can see profits.

I like for us to share how we feel about these two trading times, if you make more profit more or loss more on any of week days or weekend trading.
I take more profits when the price rises, simple equation. Grin

Wrong there mate. Trading is a learning experience and it is more than just about making profits, that takes the fun out of it.

I am TA trader I have a strategy based on candlestick formation and Price Action thus I trade based on signals obtained from my strategy, irrespective of the day of the week I usually got signals, however most of my profitable trades are during the week, thus few trades on weekends because many pullbacks or retracement  occurs during the weekends,  today Monday I got some tradeable signals, and I hope it will last all through the week, though I am trying to take a break during the weekends.

Trading during weekends I think is not good. I observe that every weekend cryptocurrencies experiences downfall that's why for me, it's not that good to trade but it's good to buy cryptocurrency I guess. And, I think many people will take a break during weekends since we need also to give some of our time to our family and such market do not move strongly as they do during weekdays and this means that for many traders this is a reason for them to take a break. It's okay to take a break sometimes and I think weekends are perfect moment to do so.

For me, as a trader, it doesn't affect me that much. Since crypto is 24/7 and it never stops, I would always feel that it's best to trade all the time. Whether it's a bullish or a bearish market, exposure within the market is excellent. As long as you have set specific rules and parameters within your strategy, you will be fine, IMO. It's best to test your system live and see if it works or not.

Taking advantage of the 24/7 market open of the crypto market is what makes it fun and profitable. I like trading it with my bot, Gunbot.

You need to be mentally prepared to trade in advance for weekly trading and if you are not mentally prepared, you may face many problems when trading suddenly. And since you are going to manage the weekly trade, you must keep in mind many things. Otherwise, you will lose more than the profit, and the weekly trade relies heavily on previous experience. You can make a good profit if you need to prepare mentally or research the market 1 to 2 weeks in advance to trade weekly.

Base on my experience in trading most of the time the market is volatile for being on weekdays this time the market goes up and down sometimes get a huge increase and then i experience one time on Sundays the market becomes sideways and it does not give a good profit to me not being too much volatile so i make a trade every Monday, Wednesday and Friday it depends on my free time but in weekend i guess not ideal base on my preferences and experience.

Honestly I am not into active trading in cryptocurrencies still I have observed high volatility by weekend; this is especially in bullish trend. In bearish trend by 2018, I could not recall any significant fluctuations by weekend but in 2017 bull run, all Sundays were too exciting for drastic rising (I remember there were many topics on weekend rise in our speculation sub).

Crypto markets are available to trade all 7 days a week and all 24 hours a day (like forex markets) but stocks and all other regulated markets are available only on limited hours and definitely not on weekends. This might be a reason, for an active trader to get engage on cryptocurrenies even on weekend as they might need to feed their trading urge.

If weekend trading are consistent profitable on bullish trend then it will turn more profitable as everyone will schedule a trade on weekend to get easy profits (like it will be a superstition and will spread among all traders).

I have tried recently trading on weekend and based on my experience and based on the advice of many crypto pro trading that weekends are good time to buy token but not most of the time because there are only few token that dip during weekends some token like ETH and BTC sometimes are pumping even weekends. In my own experience I've tried trading this weekend in SOL, buy it at peak then it dip, I have waited for 2 days for SOL to pump again. However, the crypto market is open 24/7 if you are a good trader then trading either weekends and weekdays doesn't matter at all.

What is the difference between weekend and working days trading? Is there a really significant difference? I mean if you trade stocks, then the market is open on working days and specific hours (probably). With cryptocurrency trading it is a non-stop trading. The tiniest difference could be in the number of traders, however, trading volumes are the most important. On person with good budget can do a volume of 10 traders.

There could be such different that during weekend more amateur traders trade. That can be true, people are busy during week, and do some trader on weekend with a cold head. But, you should not rely on them much, hoping that they will login, create an order with minimum price (just to sell quick) and logout. Such "sweet orders" will be intercepted with trading bots and already placed buy orders.

To be honest with you I never trade on the weekends. On Sunday and Saturday I try to spend as much time with friends and family as possible and check my coins very rarely. It would be interesting to know how many of us here on the forum trade actively on the weekends. Maybe you can add a poll to your thread?
In general I would expect less traders to be around on the weekend, which would mean that markets are not as liquid as during the week. This lower liquidity and higher spread between bid and ask prices could be picked off by good traders. But trading everyday of a week without getting some time off can burn us out. Having atleast one day to relax helps me a lot to recharge batteries for the next week.

it's the same with other traders, who think the weekend is the right time to rest, after working on a normal day, they also need time to refresh their minds, so that on Monday they can think clearly to get profit again, and that's also what I do. lower market moves seem less attractive to trade. things like this do not seem trivial, but indirectly as the biggest supporting factor for living a balanced life

There are awesome opportunities lurking around during the weekend.  There are less traders during weekend as many tend to use that period for social functions and other hobbies.  I have come to find out that liquidity are thing price seem to flunctuate strongly and you could really catch good dip.

I believe that the reason you might have chosen to be trading on weekends is because of you are always busy on weekdays from Monday to Friday.  As for which day you should be trading among these two days, I wouldn’t really say that any of them is better than the other, I would suggest that you just trade anytime you have the chance to try it as long as you are going to do good analysis on the market and know the right choice to make and also make use of the right strategy for that moment you’re trading to make profits.

As for me, there isn't really anything like a better day for trading, any day can workout for you as long as you do the right thing.

This is basically what I am doing right now as well, there are many times that I am very very busy during the weekdays, I really have nearly zero minutes left. I can't even play computer games as much as I would like to, I used to play like 20-30 hours per week whenever I want to and when there was a new game I remember playing 100+ hours easily on the first week, but nowadays I barely play 10 hours per month.

So, when will I have time to trade? That is what I do during Sundays, because during Sundays I have more time and I also want to relax and take a break so that I could be having some sort of fun, go out, have a meal somewhere, maybe catch a show, do something that makes me ready for the Monday, or maybe just relax on the couch and watch some netflix, that is good as well, I haven't done that for a while but that is a good thing as well. Sometimes I just trade, it is a fun thing as well, if I am not doing other things, I may end up trading as well.

I don't think there's much difference between the two? There isn't much difference imo, and I've set my Sundays to be my break days when I traded so things might've changed though I highly doubt that. I still think weekdays are the go to days since those days are probably the workdays of daily traders and only those part-time traders would take weekends as their trading days. Though that's probably just in terms of volumes traded in each scenario, as for taking advantage of it to profit, I don't think there's actually much you can make out of it.

I don't know about others but in my initial trading career I used to trade on weekend, particularly More on selling and buy a bulk amount once or twice in the weekdays for my LBC which gave me some profits to be honest. But I quit such kind of trading for years now since I am concentrating more on building my portfolio value instead of short term goals.

Yeah, weekend trading must be belonging to part time traders as full time traders may go for break by weekend (we can ignore those who even trade on all 7 days a week to maximize their profitability because must be only 1% everywhere). I am into regular job and if I wish to risk something then only weekends are my appropriate time to check my skill and experience in crypto trading.

I quit such kind of trading for years now since I am concentrating more on building my portfolio value instead of short term goals.
But, I guess when you are profitable with something then I guess you may go for it regardless of where you are focusing right now; still I guess your available and free time must be a constrain here to prioritize what you prefer and need.

What do you think about Saturday and Sunday trading Huh
According to my experience this year, buying on weekdays and selling on weekends can be effective enough to take some profits. I noted some coins often increased their prices on weekends and they decreased again on weekdays. So, I usually bought some coins on Monday - Friday, once there was correction. I choose which coins that were very potential to increase the next weekend. Then, I just sell the coins when it really increased on the weekend.

Weekend is on different days in different countries. In my country weekend is Friday. So on Saturday and Sunday I am busy with my work. I have no special experience of weekend trading. However, I sometimes buy some coins when the market goes dip and sell only when there is a small profit.
Yes, not all countries have the same weekend. All crypto users are spread in all countries of the world. It is not easy to conclude that the weekend is a good day to trade. We only need to analyze the market, buy if there is a decline and sell if it is profitable. Don't make the weekend as the main reference, continue to study the market for the purpose of financial freedom.
