Congratulations to Crystal Palace and as a neutral in this game I believe this is a Happ ending. This season already we have seen Newcastle, Harry Kane, bologna win a title so since it is a season for first timers then it is right Crystal Palace won.
To bad city could not at least salvage their season but right now the should focus their attention now on the remaining English premier League matches and ensure they win both of them.

This final saw Pep Guardiola end a season without a trophy for the first time since 2016-17. Crystal Palace took the lead in the 16th minute when Eberechi Eze headed in Daniel Munoz’s cross. Palace played a disciplined defence throughout the match, fending off Manchester City’s attacks and winning the match.

The early goal allowed Palace to focus entirely on defence, so that early goal was crucial in this match. Manchester City dominated possession and despite their many attempts at attacking, they failed to score any goals. Crystal Palace should definitely be congratulated, they had a good season and won a trophy.

That's right, this has been the worst season for Man City under Pep Guardiola, I didn't expect them to go down this badly. A narrow win was enough for Crystal Palace to secure the FA Cup, although throughout the match we saw Man City dominate the game. I think maybe it's time for Pep Guardiola to change his strategy, which emphasizes too much ball possession, because even mediocre clubs can now easily overcome Man City attacking patterns.

Of course, Crystal Palace deserve applause for their success this season, the FA Cup has ended their long trophy drought. Pep Guardiola next task is to shift focus to the Premier League to get Man City back into the top five. It would be very disappointing if Pep Guardiola also fails to get a ticket to the Champions League next season.

The unbelievable has just happened today, crystal palace had a scary victory over Manchester city. It was a difficult one for them but at last they came out victoriously and are now the FA cup winner of 2025. The game ended in such an unexpected manner, city dominated in the game and created a lot of chance but where not able to convert any of them to goal. All thanks to crystal palace goalkeeper that made numerous saves in the game

It's one hell of a season in English football. Before now, it's has always been the big five winning the 3 major trophies among themselves until Newcastle United shocked everyone when the beat Liverpool to lift the EFL cup and now Crystal Palace has done the unbelievable. This was a big surprise that happened at the end of this season, Crystal Palace's journey to reach the FA Cup final and win it was not easy. Starting from the quarter-finals, the opponent they faced was not easy, namely Fulham, but surprisingly in that match they managed to beat Fulham with a landslide score of 3-0, and continued to the semifinals the opponent they faced was Aston Villa, a team that performed quite well for this season and became one of the strong candidates to win the FA Cup, but again Crystal Palace gave a surprise by successfully beating Aston Villa with a landslide score of 3-0.

It was the only trophy Pep and Mancehster City could get this season but they made up for it with a narrow defeat in the final.

Speaking of bad seasons, this was probably the worst one because it was the one season where they didn't get a single trophy until the end which made the assessment of Manchester City change a bit.
They are still a big club but their mentality is a little disturbed especially in attack where this season their goal productivity has really dropped dramatically compared to previous seasons.

The match was very interesting even though it was only a partial match as Crystal Palace played passively in defense but their concentration was worthy of praise as they remained focused until the end even though they were continuously attacked.

Everything is worse this season instead of talking about trophies even Manchester City is not safe for the Champions League. Before this match started I was suspicious when the bookies gave high odds on Manchester City even though they played with a full squad, the odds should not be more than 1.5 but the fact is 1.83 clearly this is a question for gamblers. On the other hand things like this are normal in the FA Cup we always see surprises when underdog teams beat the favorite teams, this tradition has been going on for decades and most of it happened in the semi-finals. The Premier League can be humbling. Pep Guardiola is having his fair share of struggles coaching a Premier League club and to be honest Pep has won everything and dominated English football for 4 years with Manchester City. Pep Guardiola is not leaving the club anytime soon, as long as he’s still there Manchester City will bounce back to winning ways.

I didn't just believe it until it happened. Crystal Palace was resilient and they weren't threatened by Manchester City. They absorbed all the pressure and stood strong till the end.

Indeed, this is truly a win for the underdog team for as a matter of fact, I was going to bet on this game live when it started and popped up on my android screen, I thought this was a good opportunity to make some money which I will spend on beer 🍺 today being Sunday, and guess who I was going to bet on? It's Manchester city, I was kind of very sure they will beat Crystal palace and win the trophy, but how wrong I was...

And thank goodness I later ended up not placing the bet because something else called my attention which I tried to attend to and by the time I came back, crystal palace had already secured 1 goal in the 16th minute of the match, I become confused and no longer sure of Manchester city winning, that was how I changed my mind and didn't bet any longer, else I would have lost my money.

Dean Henderson played a key role in Crystal Palace's success, making six saves and saving a penalty, a fine performance in this final could see him go down in club history as a hero in winning their first title in their history. This is football, on paper Man City were the favourites to beat Palace, but what happened during the 90 minutes was far from what was predicted off the pitch.

This set of players were able to do what the past players couldn't do for the club and that's to win a trophy. I'm happy for the fact that they were able to withstand the pressure that Man City presented to them and instead stood their ground, making their opponents understand that its not business as usual where City can just come and sweep Crystal palace off their feet and take the points.
 Guardiola wasn't able to end the season with a trophy, perhaps he could turn his focus to ensuring they finish in a champions league spot because their remaining games against Bournemouth and Fulham would really prove to be a test of their strength since this two sides can be a real pain in the neck of they're overlooked.

I agree with you, is not easy for the players and the coach of the side, a journey that I never thought would get this far since we all know how crazy this team use to be and now their mentality have changed for good. But coming to the Citizens, as of last season if this chance was given to them it will be a work over for City because the pressure they gave Palace yesterday would have been different and Pep and his boys would have snatched the trophy off Palace, we all know how City played last season and we can't say the Manchester City of last season and the one that played this very finals are the same but all the same congratulations to Crystal Palace and to Henderson who gave his 100% to stop every chances City had to get a goal, especially that penalty...it was a wonderful save.
Finishing in the champions league spot is not going to be a problem for the Citizens because that's all they need right now and they'll surely get it. The remaining two games might not be an easy one since they have been struggling against the smaller teams but I still believe that since they have their scoring machine Haaland in the starting 11 things might go their way. Bournemouth seem to be stubborn in the last 3 games even if they couldn't get all 3pt but they made sure their opponent don't find it easy and that's what will happen against City.

Congratulations to Crystal Palace. This trophy means more to them than it would have meant to Manchester City who had won a treble last year. I like seeing the underdog win and Crystal Palace fought till the very end to get this victory today. I can’t wait to see what they do in Europe next season.

The trophy does very much mean a lot to them as it's their first major trophy in the club's history. This is more than just any kind of a win for them, it's a start of new horizon for the club. I hope they get to go far in the Europa league next season because it's a call for higher level responsibility.

Tbh I was rooting for Manchester City to win this match. It never for once crossed my mind that Crystal Palace could cause an upset to Manchester City so I didn’t consider them tough competition. But Crystal Palace came into this game with a plan and followed through with it till the end of 90 minutes.

Not just you mate, many football fans including myself never saw Crystal palace getting out on this FA Cup finals as the champions. I had thought City would want to use this to compensate themselves for their poor season run but it happened that Palace weren't ready to compromise their chance of getting their first trophy. It appears that aside the EPL trophy all other major domestic English trophies this season all went to the underdogs. Football is very much unpredictable.

Crystal Palace is always a difficult opponent for Manchester City to beat, but after Manchester City came from 2 goals down to beat Crystal Palace in the Premier League, I just believed the Emirates FA Cup final was just a walkover match for Manchester City without knowing that Crystal Palace would pull off a surprising win against Manchester City. After Manchester City failed to win either the Premier League title or the Carabao Cup, the Emirates FA Cup was the only trophy Manchester City could have used to compensate their fans for their awful performance this season, but they also failed to win the Emirates FA Cup trophy.

Indeed, is a very big congratulations to Crystal palace. Likewise me too that was also what I predicted it because I already knew that Manchester city can not afford to get a win against Crystal palace easily in the game. Because for quite sometimes now crystal palace have been playing pretty well in the premier league, more especially in their last game against Tottenham Hotspur, the pressure was really nice. Almost everyone who loves football thought that Manchester City would win against Crystal Palace to make up for their bad performance in all competitions this season. I played Manchester City to win against Crystal Palace with over 2.5 goals on my bet slip because I believed that Manchester City wouldn't give Crystal Palace a chance of winning the Emirates FA Cup trophy, but I didn't know that Crystal Palace was very much prepared and determined to win against Manchester City in the Emirates FA Cup final, which caused me to lose some money.

There is huge controversy in the FA Cup final, the officiating was very poor. The most obvious one was that Dean Henderson was not given a yellow card for hand ball foul (although I think it should be a red card). Their defense is equally trash, they are claiming that it wasn’t a goal scoring opportunity and that’s why the referee didn’t call the foul. Despicable.
