I think personally its going to take awhile before we begin to see p2e especially crypto related been onboarded to mainstream games because most of these top companies are regulated and works under-laws that need to have guidelines for nfts and in-game currencies and if possible there are lite or no rules regarding them I think some games will have p2e while some will remain where they are.. No question that the gaming industry will follow this route. Crypto is the best thing around and every industry wants its share from it and earning while playing a game that you would ordinarily be playing for free. I guess this is a good idea and I noticed some games are in this direction now.

Well, this is quite true, like selling items in a game, so are nft games nowadays. however, the thing that sets it apart is like the game AXie infinity. You can earn daily SLP and sell it when you claim it. it does not need to bother looking for rare items, or other things.
it's just, I don't really understand the combustion system of the SLP. the price keeps dropping. there doesn't seem to be a good enough system for such things yet. it would be great if we get tokens that can be sold at a stable price.

By saying "no question", do you mean gaming companies will follow the same? I don't see it that way honestly. Most gaming companies might not follow what Ubisoft does but rather they might just accept crypto payments on their game. Applying crypto directly to the game is innovative but not a game changer as there are now lots of blockchain games that dominate the world of crypto games.

If ever they will follow, I will support them but don't expect they will.

Most of the current NFT gaming is just a copy game from an existing non NFT game. They are just using NFT hype to gather funds and introduced Play to Earn mechanism to make a change but in reality its just the same. There's a risk that these NFT games will be closed once the hype is over just like the 2017 ICO mania that most of the company die when there's no new money entering in the market.

In the end. Same money from different people is just circulating and changing hands in different project to take profit on shrimp investors money.
