A dumb fight on the card of a other dumb fight. Tired of seeing these fights being promoted as actual fights. They are terrible to watch. Why would I want to see an ex nba er fight an ex running back. I read how demon is taking this serious, well yeah he better or he will get lumped up. But as a serious fight nah. Wish these never started thanks McGregor.

Since there are lots of individuals, who are not into boxing that enter boxing, and some made money and were successful about doing it, it will create more fights of that kind in the future. We, as a viewer, have an option to watch it or not. If we are annoyed by that, better ignore them and not support them all the way. No choice after all as there are people who are fans of watching those and willing to pay tickets and PPV to support the said match.

Its fans free will weather to watch these kinds of matches or ignore it and look for those real fights. After that Mayweather and McGregor fight, the kind of scenery inside the boxing ring happened, a lot of personalities that keep popping inside social media sites informing the public about celebrity fight like this. It's undeniable that those people or fighters wannabe do have fans on their own, and those people are the target market of those promoters who wanted to make some decent money. A cash cow but fans always have options, it's their own decision whether to support by buying tickets or PPV or let it go and forget about it.

Had anyone check already if the odds are already available in our favorite betting lines? As per this article Williams is the favorite to win this match. Although these numbers will fluctuate as bets start to come in, the two-time Olympic gold medalist is a -225 favorite. Gore is currently a +185 betting underdog. For the uninitiated, you would have to plunk down $225 on Williams to earn an extra $100 if he wins. On the flip side, if you bet $100 on the former San Francisco 49er, you can bank an added $185 if he were to upset his much taller opponent on Dec. 18. source: https://sportsnaut.com/deron-williams-vs-frank-gore-betting-odds/

I've been a fan of boxing sport for a long time but I admit that today I'm not that updated in boxing and the last name that I know who were a very popular name in boxing are like Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather, Oscar dela Hoya, Nonito Donaire, Casimero and others that could be considered a long time boxing fighters in history but today I have seen many new names in boxing. Many new names and some of what I have encountered discussion here is like this where an ex NBA player turning to fight inside the boxing ring, well I think we all have same perception on this and it is because of the pot money involve. The fights of the real fighters are really a fight that was good to watch for and as a viewer and a fan I would prefer to watch the fight of a real fighters instead.

Well, theres nothing we can do about it but to deal with it and skip out on making bets if you arent really that interested.

This is expected although Deron does not have any official fight in boxing or any other contact sports, he owns an MMA type gym and he has a lot of good trainers to train, I don't know much about his opponent and his credentials but this fight is created to make a good impression on Deron so he can get in for exhibition matches in the future against well-known personality, this is my take on this particular fight.

As long as people keep paying to watch those fights then the market is going to give them what they want, I admit that I find this to be odd as well, most of the time I watch a boxing fight in order to see the best the sport can offer do what they can do best, however it seems the tastes of the public have changed, I do not know if this is because of the pandemic or if this is simply a generational change but it seems it is here to stay.
Well there used to be celebrity boxing back in the days, but guess what, the hype around it has died down. So I think this all boxing exhibitions will also go down the same path. When people are no longer interested and there will be no audience, it might stop as well. But as long as we are still in the pandemic, and these boxing promoters are thinking out of the box and get people to buy this kind of match, and ex-sports athletes are a willing performer then it will continue. I remember those fights and I think I watched a few of them back in the day but I do not think it ever got as big as what we are seeing now, so while there is a chance the hype for these fights will die down and we go back to just watch professional boxers, I think there is a real possibility that thanks to social media exhibition fights like this one are not going to disappear and if anything they could get even bigger as time passes.

But let see this fight if how a NBA player will beat a Youtuber.

I think we need to determine what's the cause of it. I just realized that if exhibition matches are boring, why are more people supporting and willing to pay for it? Have to know something before I will make a deep analysis of it. Like to see first how much revenue they will gain on that match.

If people see the fight as trash = ignore If people see the fight is worthy = they will pay for it Personalities have their own fan-based and followers that's why these types of matches are profitable. If we don't like it, we can't do something about it.

I guess different countries have their own different preference about boxing and I think it's a trend in western countries by making a left and right exhibition matches. Someone's pouring money on this type of events and it may be a trend on their country but on the other side of the map, it's not. Although, I strongly agree that the boxing industry becoming shit already or is it just the effects of how we got quarantined due to lockdown because of this pandemic. I don't know if was happening in the past like in 1980s or 90s but it seems like how these people gather more money with less effort.

Most industries are just a reflection of what the population wants, there is a demand for these kind of fights which comes from a sector of the fans and the industry is doing nothing else but to supply what people want and earn money in the process, just like what happens in any other industry. However this is not something that worries me, this happens from time to time, once people see the fights are terrible then the demand will go down and these fights will disappear for some time, allowing us to enjoy the fights we have always enjoyed.

It's easier to promote a fight now compared to the 80's and 90's years where social media and other related platforms have not existed yet, so we usually see a real fight and real boxers who are willing to fight anyone. Their popularity is based on the fight record and not based on what they say to the public just to hype the fight. And by the way, you are right man, they can make easy money with exhibition fights, and less risky so they are doing this consistently, especially the Paul Brothers.

They would simply stick out on things which they could make money no matter what criticisms that they would get since its not really their main sport which is understandable that people would really be seeing this as a joke. Exhibition fights arent official ones and those person who do really take advantage of their popularity on making things happen because we know that once it gets hyped then interest goes high which means its higher revenue which is really very that common thing for them to arrange on. Its true that accessibility nowadays is indeed fast compared to old years which marketing out this fight is very simple.

But why would they? Would you stop doing something that while ridiculous was making you a lot of money in the process? Most people would not stop and will keep doing that activity and this is what is happening here. Until people stop watching these kind of fights then we are going to keep getting them, so just ignore them if you do not like them and if you give it enough time they will go away, still it could take years before that happened.

Well we are not talking about streamer here, we’re talking about a retired NBA play to enter into boxing ring and fight under the undercard match with Fury vs Paul. I wonder as well on how much money involve on this to force them to back from their retirement, looks like a good offer not to say no at all.

I wonder as well on how much money involve on this to force them to back from their retirement, looks like a good offer not to say no at all. You can’t make them comeback if there’s no money so technically, it is based on their contract and the first thing you step up into the ring, you already have the money no matter what the result is and that is the purpose of the management. Well, this can still be an exciting fight so nothing to worry if you just watch it and not to bet at all beside this is just an undercard you can still see the main event after this.
