Have you spoken to Satoshi ?

I believe that very very few people have ever chatted with Satoshi in this forum.
I once watched a documentary from bitcoin entitled "The Rise Of Bitcoin". It's a perfect documentary  film to watch for those who are curious about who Satoshi had spoken to and why he disappeared, as well as various kinds of bitcoin history.

Thanks everyone for the responses.  I just thought it would be a fun experiment to see if anyone around here who actually reads through this main bitcoin discussion channel had ever spoken to Satoshi before.  I of course figured that Theymos is one of very few who had interacted with him that is still active on this forum today.  I just can't imagine having had such a unique experience such as Theymos has had.  Truly legendary stuff.

How about Gavin Andreson and Adam Back? I am sure they were in touch with him...as a matter of fact Satoshi reached out to Back before the publication of the white paper.

I am new to this forum and if you look at the existing DT ranks, I see satoshi who was active in this forum several years ago.
I personally only know about his name and his extraordinary stories without being able to know or have ever chatted with him.

If Adam Back was satoshi it would have been confirmed all over the world. Satoshi's identity still remains anonymous till date, I would say even Theymos still haven't meet with satoshi  except on the forum and the day satoshi becomes public bitcoin would lose its decentralized nature because many world power would likely force him into centralizing bitcoin. Perhaps only a few people remaining here in the forum have spoken, or at least commented and replied to Satoshi's forum posts, one of them being theymos, of course. Only a few at the time had the privilege to exchange insights and comments with the guy, and satoshi left too soon and has not been seen or heard ever again. A quick look at satoshi's forum posts and you can see that most people whom he interacted with aren't really active on the forum anymore, but it's really interesting to see that there are still some guys that are around and still posting every now and then, like the core devs and other guys who were more interested in the code rather than the idea of bitcoin back then.

There's a lot of people who keep digging and searching for who is Satoshi and there's a few of them claiming the real Satoshi even though they can't able sign message the first Bitcoin wallet which a proof of evidence that they are the one.  Why not we didn't respect Satoshi's decision to become anonymous, and comment above was right, being anonymous is the power of Bitcoin to maintain the decentralized nature of Bitcoin.

Who knows maybe there is, but not publically posted it here those who spoken with Satoshi before and having an interaction with Satoshi.  I believed this user Hal, was spoken to Satoshi before because he is knowledgeable about Bitcoin and Blockchain networks.

I’m just kind of curious how many people around here have been around long enough to have spoken to Satoshi, and what your experience was like. I am just fascinated about the whole thing. It’s beyond amazing Satoshi is still anonymous, so it makes me wonder what he was like when speaking with them. I’m guessing not too many people here were around for those days. This is one thing I’ve always wanted to hear Theymos talk about. Imagine having helped Satoshi build bitcoin, having private messages etc…what an experience!

I though the same too. At least they have conversations just around the forum comments, private messages, and things like that. Beyond that nothing else or a physical contact to be precise.
Though there were actually a few forum members who has been here since the beginning who made an exchange of comments with Satoshi, but it's really amazing to hear stories from people who actually made a conversation with Satoshi through private messages.

I've read that themos had a chat with satoshi but they only talked about the bitcointalk forum or they've talked about other things about bitcoin only the two of them know the truth but for sure themos had an amazing experience being able to discuss with satoshi.

Probably some might encounter seeing Satoshi and i think those set of group of people that started this platform in 2009 when bitcoin is first introduce might be in any other way come contact to Satoshi during that period, but i think many of have left the community and maybe the remaining once is not that active, but believe before he Left the community he heard conversation or interaction with many people, which theymos is one of them, shall all these is assumptions.

it's really hard to know who the satoshi is, as some sources say if they don't know who the satoshi really is, what their background is. I don't think satoshi will have an impact, because it is very influential with the security and safety of the bitcoin coin itself. many hackers who decide to destroy the creators of bitcoin, because behind the background there will be a force that can bring down the bitcoin market in the future.

Meh. Surely this forum is the only way that people had "direct contact" with satoshi though I can recall some thread I read couple months back that there was an AMA of founder of this forum and s/he has direct contact with satoshi through email.
I would just leave it as that, since either way there is no point of it anyway.

Satoshi Nakamoto's identity and whereabouts are unknown, because Satoshi himself is good at covering up tracks, so that they are not easily
tracked. Satoshi realized it was very dangerous if he revealed his identity, there must be some who want Bitcoin dead. So for the sake of Bitcoin's
safety, it's exactly what Satoshi has done all this time by disappearing without a trace, Bitcoin's future is much safer if Satoshi's identity is unknown.
It's better if we just focus on Bitcoin, instead of spending our time figuring out Satoshi's identity. Then I also believe that people who have been on
this forum for a long time don't seem to know Satoshi's identity, that's why Satoshi's identity is difficult to reveal, and Satoshi can keep his identity
secret for years without being exposed.

That period i believe Satoshi did not show himself until he quit from the community and handle it over to the theymos, while some people interactes with him like the same approach we interactes with old members we know that is ahead of us.

That is exactly what i explained here initially, that many people might heard conversation directly to Satoshi through private message, but  are not privileged to see him in person, it assumed like the way some us communicate with loyceV and The pharmacist and other  numerous members to be mention, but we don't have the privilege to see them, but we can ask them question and if them wish they can respond to you. No one have testify that he or her have seen Satoshi even theymos.

I'm not sure if they are still here in the forum after a long time, for sure early investors who are already successful have quit using the forum and enjoy life just like Satoshi did. Being anonymous is the best solution to enjoy it, if they'll speak about satoshi, then we might get interested in them and people think that they have bitcoin holdings as 10 dollars would but a lot of bitcoins that time.

I guess we can only ask for Theymos statement, as he is the most reliable person to share his experience.

maybe they are old enough right now, just like what happened to Phinnaeus Gage which already dead, or maybe too old enough and can't able to read words on a computer screen. I don't think theymos was there at the time sotoshi was active on the forum if you will check the old post from satoshi to a welcome forum message. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5, up to topic number 10 it's all about satoshi writing on this forum but no one has replied in the same year which is 2009, and satoshi stop posting on the forum 1 year later in 2010. I don't think there is someone who contacted him personally.

Am I the only one who finds amussing the idea of satoshi using a Newbie account to participate in a discreet way and lurk to see if his beloved community is behaving and has evolved the way he wanted it to?
