Yes, you're right about that. GGG should finish this fight first against Murata and go home with of course a win on his side to keep up the hype in the upcoming trilogy and in-order to get the people see that he is still compatible and have a chance against Canelo. Also, almost everyone are watching Canelo and GGG if they can give an upset in their respective fights.
He would need to do that if he is really serious about on having trilogy or having some appealing for readying up for Trilogy against Canelo but i dont really have any doubts
that he could beat up Murata without any problems but somehow he shouldnt really be still that confident yet  hes not young or in his prime anymore but basing up
on experiene then it is really a huge gap which you could really say that it is really that impossible on beating him up but lets see on how this fight would go or ending up.
Agree with what you say, because indeed this will be a real burden for him because he plays and inevitably has to win even though it is difficult. But on the other hand Murata is also not an ordinary boxer and he definitely wants to make something that people who see him definitely don't want to forget. even though he is the favorite but on the other hand this match will not be easy for GGG.

I agree on that, he is not just an ordinary fighter because he is also a champion, it's just that GGG is more popular as a boxer but of course, Murata has a chance of winning the fight. The popularity of GGG makes him the favorite to win the fight, and if we look at the betting odds, Murata here is a heavy underdog which IMO a good chance for the backers to take advantage of the odds if they'll like to put a bet on this fight.

A champion? But he didn't fight for it. Just to inform you guys that Murata's WBA (Super) middleweight champion is a vacant title by Canelo Alvarez because he now moves up and has an upcoming fight with Bivol. Murata didn't gain it thru defeating or stealing it in a title match.

The fight with Gennady Golovkin is Murata's first fight since getting the WBA Title.

I don't see what kind of strategy he can used to defeat a much experience and stronger GGG that only has 1 loss in his entire boxing career.

He was a WBA champion in 2019: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-72YL1Z_PG4

Maybe what you meant is that he was relegated by the WBA to their regular champion at Middleweight (too much belt for boxing governing body).

In any case, we can't take anything away from Murata, he has worked his ass off and now it will be a big test against GGG but hopefully he won't derail the much anticipated GGG vs Canelo Alvarez 3rd fight.

So he is really a champion after all.

Well, Murata really has a nice future looking at his previous fights, however, the quality of opponents matters and we have here GGG who some may think is old already but this guy is a battle tested, so it's just normal that people think he would beat the ass of Murata easily.

Yeah, he has been campaigning in the 160 lbs for years now. That's a big factor as far as their opposition is, Murata seems to be just hanging in Japan and mostly fight confident in his hometown. GGG has started in his native town and then move to the US to fight and faces more tough opposition as compare to Murata.

But Murata has punching power, so this fight will be interesting as how GGG style will match against the Japanese. Both are ring rusty though, so that's another factor that we have to look early and then who will still be fresh on their legs as the fight goes on.

He is one of the boxers who stands at the top in his current class and indeed this requires a lot of struggle for GGG.
Technically, if you look at it from there, it's certainly as expected in this forum because GGG is definitely the favorite and indeed Murata is the Underdog, but indeed this will be tough and most likely this will be a battle with calculations later

What kind of calculation? do you mean a calculation from both boxer on how they'll win? About determining who is the favorite of the fight, well, obviously we all know that GGG is very popular worldwide while Murata is only popular in Japan, so it's not hard to determine, even from a newbie fan of boxing.

I believe that Murata is not just a simple boxer that GGG should take him easy because this man Murata will truly give a difficult fight for him. It cannot be denied that GGG is the crowd's favorite here but it is also undeniable that he should prepare for this fight to be able to achieve the ultimate goal of winning the battle. I can't wait to see them inside the ring and unfold the result right in front of us who among them will stand out at the end.

Yes, it will not be an easy fight for GGG and he knows Murata years back because they have a sparring session, so he knows what he is up to. Besides he will be traveling to Japan, Murata's home soil so it will add to the obstacles.

Nevertheless, GGG has all the experienced, maybe he is 40 years old already, but he can still fight at high level. And then he has to win this fight to setup a third fight against his arch nemesis in Canelo Alvarez.

Speaking with climate conditions or something in related then they are already fully aware of that which they would really be making out adjustments on GGG team which is just normal.
In all experiences that GGG has then i dont have any doubts that they do know on what to do.Speaking with capability or on how these boxers fight then the gap
between them is huge but since he's older then tendency or chances would really be there for him to lose but it is unlikely to happen.

I don't understand how the age gap becomes huge. Murata is 36 years old, GGG is 40 years. Do others really think that's a huge gap? GGG's power won't fade that easily especially if it's against a boxer that is also already on a veteran age. Age doesn't play a factor here either as an advantage or disadvantage.

GGG will own Murata. I don't even know how Murata can KO or score much against GGG. The latter's body is built by strong experience. How can even Murata do damage to that?

The fight is not equal. It just happened that Murata got the vacant spot left by Canelo that's why he was considered.

After five months of the poll, nobody believes that Murata can beat Golovkin

GGG   - 26 (100%)
Murata   - 0 (0%)
Draw   - 0 (0%)
Total Voters: 26

Murata is a total underdog and everybody believes that at 40 Golovkin is still in the prime of his career which is true based on his last fight I'm sure Golovkin would love to come out in this fight in great fashion to impress Canelo and the boxing community that the GGG - Canelo fight still deserves the hype.

Wow, that's a 100% rate for GGG. Can't believe there's no one who at least believes he would win while some of the posters are thinking that Murata should not be underestimated in this fight as he is also a champ. So what would happen now? if GGG would lose then we all lose our bets as well?

Yep, he need to win in this fight because there's a rumor the trilogy GGG vs Canelo might be happen in the next few months. If he lose from Murata, the trilogy no longer hype since most people will predict Canelo will won.

So what would happen now? if GGG would lose then we all lose our bets as well?

Sadly, yes Cheesy
It's really risky to bet Murata because we all know GGG is really good boxer similar like Canelo and many people really want to see his match. Perhaps there's bettor who bet on Murata, but he didn't vote in this thread.

Probably if we will stick with GGG, but with the current betting odds, I think bettors would also look at the KO per round to get better odds. For Murata, it's also nice to bet on him winning by KO, I guess the odds on that one is very much attractive which some bettors would try to take even if they believe GGG would win the fight, you know, upset is possible.

Yeah, not surprised though by the results, there are many fans of GGG here and majority is not aware who Murata is in this division.

I do agree that Murata shouldn't be underestimated in this fight, but the majority thinks that GGG has was it takes to overcome what Murata will over in this fight. Of course, if those who voted on him bet on a GGG win and if by chance he lose, then it's going to be a sad day for everyone. But hopefully there will be no surprised as we are all hype on what is going to happen next if GGG will win. A 3rd fight with Canelo is in the calendar already.

As I said before Murata is one of the pretty good boxers in his class and even he can reach the top top in my opinion and that doesn't come from just relaxing because he is indeed a strong enough boxer to reach that level.
Regardless it will be a tough fight no matter who is underdog or underdog but they are very good boxers and they have to stay alert

A win here by Murata will make him a boxing superstar. Imagine beating GGG, he would be just like Horn after beating Pacman but in another way because we all know that the fight was very controversial and Horn falls to the hands of Crawford. What I'm saying is that if Murata would win convincingly, it will give him big opportunities to fight popular boxers going forward.
