Binance is actively funding many good startup project that can rival those Dapps on Ethereum. There's no reason why investors will leave Binance if they are already settle down. Maybe many people will invest more on Ethereum Blockchain but that doesn't they will leave BSC network at all. Nothing will happen, people will continue to use bsc because it provide equal service as eth network, it is always good to have different options, eth can not be the only smart contract network, other network should be able to provide the service too, the space is big enough for both chain exist.

You could also see a lot of projects are not decentralized outside of ETH and BSC as well as in them too. Like SOL literally frozen their system for a while and then restarted it, that is the most dangerous thing in all of crypto and people are not even phased by it. So, decentralization is a very important thing but we do not care about it anymore at all unfortunately, so many projects are centralized like crazy these days.

Plus, if it is the scam you claim to worry about, there are thousands of scams in ETH as well, or simply projects that creators build to get rich and they do not care about anything else. I guess nothing with happen though, BSC has established itself already to be one good project and has proven it has many advantages on ETH not just the gas fees. So many new and current projects are switching to their main net.

So if ever the gas fee of ETH goes down, I don't think that there will be a shift of power again. Again, BSC has proven itself already, it has many developments on the pipeline and I doubt that ETH can match BSC's cheap price.

The major reason to use BSC right now is for the fees.

However, when ETH2.0 comes about there may not be that advantage left anymore.

Binance Dex and BSC are from the same source, namely Binance, but BSC is superior to Binance Dex. BSC is a blockchain similar to the Ethereum blockchain. We can't be 100% sure what will happen, but in my opinion the popularity of BSC will decline. If the Ethereum 2.0 launch proceeds without any nasty surprises, I think the eyes of the whole crypto world will turn to ETH. I foresee trades on Pancakeswap going to $5 soon. That's just the way L1s go unless they implement L2s or sharding like Ethereum and NEAR protocol. I have to admit, that i also use the binance smart chain at the moment whenever i can and i even bridge most erc20 tokens that i have to the bsc chain because i don't have that big amounts and it is just not worth it to do anything with them on the eth chain on the ethereum chain because of the high gas fees. BSC is never as decentral as ETH. And I doubt it will ever be. It is semi decentralised and could prove to be vulnerable for attacks. However, looking away from that aspect alone, it is waaay cheaper than ETH when it comes to transaction fees. Even if ETH finally catches up, I doubt it will ever have fees as low as BSC and by the time its newest updates bear fruit, there will be better alternatives to ETH. So I do not see ETH having much of a future, or at least not having a future which is a sucessful as it was before. But things remain to be seen. I might be wrong.

Eth isn't for the general public. Its high fees are absurd that it needs you 50$ just for a swap in their Dex and even 20$ just for sending your tokens. Bsc dex in the other hand cost around less than a $ per transaction. A well balanced compared to eth but skeptical due to its centralisation. So in short, Id choose Matic over the two.

If ethereum gas fee goes lower, then it's good for everyone. BSC will remain the same of course, many people already used it because of cheaper transaction fee. Yeah ethereum network is so crowded and it can't manage the transfer fee sometimes it could be reach 200-250 gwei and it could reach hundred dollars fee when doing swap on swap platform with ETH network.

For now, many prefer BSC because the gas fee is very low compared to ethereum gas fee that is too high for investors to make a good income. If ethereum gas fee reduce today Many users will change their decision to embark on ethereum than BSC because ethereum is good for short term and long term investment.

The concept of Binance Smart Chain with Binance Chain is of course much different. Binance Chain is just an internal blockchain that can only run on the Binance platform, while the Binance Smart Chain is getting a good reception from various decentralized platforms or swap platforms. This allows BSC to run well even though Ethereum Gas costs return to normal. Binance Chain exists at a time when Ethereum gas costs are normal but its use is very limited.
