A positive evaluation of gambling.

From self evaluation and the evaluation of a few gamblers around me, i have observed that over time due to gambling activity, some characters worthy of emulation have been unconsciously developed by some.

Some of the characters that i have observed from the life of a few core gamblers around me and myself are;

-Development of Risk taking ability; to win big in life, you must be willing to try, and gamblers have so developed their risk taking ability.

-Development of the ability to quickly let go of things and move on; Dwelling on the past and the possibility of "what could have been" is really not healthy and it can weigh you down and distract you from "what can be". Though not so easy, gamblers have developed this ability to easily look ahead from the "near win" of yesterday, to try again today.

-Positive mentality (that is always believing that everyday we gamble, it may just be our lucky day for the big win).

- Consistency/ Not quiting attitude; Always trying regardless of  previous results.

If you see yourself as a gambler, i implore you to put yourself in perspective and please share any positive trait that has been developed in your life as a result of gambling.

PS: The purpose of this discussion is not in any way to encourage you to gamble more, but a pointer to show that amidst the dark clouds, there is still a silver lining.

In my opinion, you did careful research on the positive effects that gamblers had, but even so, the negative effects of gambling in my opinion are even greater from positive efek, and of course we all have often discussed these negative things here, and for point number 2 I slightly disagree with you, because in my opinion it is not a positive thing because it actually triggers gamblers to like to dream more to win and in the end this is what triggers someone to become addicted to gambling in my opinion.

Everyone jump into gambling with sole purpose of entertainment but its thing that becomes addiction and you cant get away from it. I mean no one of us want to lose money in gambling but how many gamblers you have seen that are in profit (overall). The point is gambling failed to provide entertainment to people rather it brings anxiety in the form of losing money. That's my few satoshis.

Gambling taught me to be careful with my money and increased my literacy because after losing a couple of times in any game of chance a person begins to study it more deeply. In addition, I believe that by trading cryptocurrencies and gambling a person can increase the level of self-control.

I believe that if a person does not improve his level of self-control over time, then gambling can never be fun for him. In addition, such people are more likely to become addicted to gambling, which can have a negative impact on their lives.

I agree in order to develop good characters of out of gambling first we need to be capable of learning out of anything. Addicted gamblers will never mind about learning anything while they are gambling. Overall, the positive evolution of gambling is possible only for the gambler who are all open to learning. If you ignore everything then there will be no room for any of positive things.

Which is why even if I think the OP is not wrong and you can learn some important life lesson out of gambling, I think the majority of gamblers do not really learn anything substantial out of it, and this is because most people are just interested in having some fun and nothing more when they gamble, so even if a life-changing lesson could be learned from what they are experiencing it is difficult they will do so as that is not their intent.

Problem gambling is always terrible. Those who are addicted to gambling will never want to admit it cause they can't realize it. The OP may have tried to point out some nice things but the problem gamblers can't learn from these things, Only those who are thoughtful and willing to come out of the problem gambling can learn from these things.

If you are optimistic and you do have good control of your emotions, you can see this venue(gambling) is another place to practice your knowledge, it's not about to ruin your life but to have an equal chance of executing your knowledge within this venue, not everyone are
just relying on luck, but they are also using their own experienced and knowledge to have some good edge against other gamblers.

It could be changed but without the gambling addict's willingness to change through rehab. I have seen and know in person that even if you tell him/her that she is a gambling addict but their response is that he/she is not a gambling addict and they didn't gamble everyday but the truth is they alway gamble everyday. Mostly in my country they play card game.

Denials would be there even though its already that obvious that they are already addicted to it on others perspective and it a common behavior for someone to make out some denial that they arent addicted but the truth is that they are spending more than that they get used to.Gambling is for pure entertainment but people do really excessively dealt with it on a different manner which
do end up on a disaster.

If you do just know on how on how to control yourself and able to realize up on how things do work then you would really be able to save up yourself from trouble.

This is the reason why some of the responsible gambler that organize by the gambling site is not that effective simply because the gambler are not helping himself to be better and to get our of that addiction, they are on a denial stage and they continue to gamble even if they are already broke from the inside. A positive mindset is the key to enjoy gambling without getting addict, you must help yourself always to do what is right.

I'm sorry, but the fact that you only say positive things makes me laugh. It's not strange that those of you who have responded so far all carry gambling site signatures. If it were not for that, from any objective analysis, being a gambler has more negative characteristics than positive ones. For example:

1. )Persistence in exercising an activity to lose money in the long term.
2.) Behavior that contradicts your rational thinking (such as continuing to play when you have lost too much and you know you should stop).

I'm agree with your statement. BUT! I think that main idea of OP was to show that there is also pros. We're talking a lot about cons but until this time I can't remember proper threads where people would discuss pros of being a gambler.

Then, they are not helping themselves and enjoying gambling in the first place. From what I see these kinds of people are focused on earning money from gambling, wanted to be instant millionaires. You can't simply ignore the jackpot price that could really attract gamblers but sadly, we end getting nothing aside from losing.

We can have those positive evaluations as OP posted but I think that more gamblers receive the negative effect of gambling than these things. Addiction is what we commonly see...

I wouldn't glorify gambling to the point where it teaches you more life lessons compared to school, even.

That's just ridiculous. You shouldn't be gambling more than what you can afford to lose and certainly not continuing to gamble after you've lost to chase your previous losses.

Many people will get into a denial stage of urging too much gambling because they are already addicted to play with. It is more ideal if someone on their family or friends guide them to prevent too much addiction in gambling. Sometimes it does not help to the mental stability of a person when get too much addiction they make a decision which is not give a good outcome. This is the reason why we must need to have a self awareness when we play gambling.

Many gamblers come back with different strategies hoping that they can win the money and recover their losses before.
If they realize that it is hard to recover the losses but only come back because of the fun, they will not think hard about recovering the losses.
From this year, the gambling industry has grown positively, with crypto popularity also becoming growing. Still, we need always to remember that gambling is just for pleasure and not for making money.
When we can stick to our plan and still have control for ourselves, we will not lose much money instead can limit ourselves.

Maybe you got lucky and found the 1 out of a hundred gamblers who are able to stay relatively stable. There are also different levels of gamblers and that can make a huge difference to these personality traits - there are some who are completely addicted and the next bet will be on their mind as soon as they wake up, along with where to scrape the money together for it. There are others who will think of gambling as a fun side hobby, who might place a bet on the weekend to make watching the games a bit more exciting but could take it or leave it. I think if you've got control of your life and could stop at any time, then these traits can be good.

Some of the people can't handle their extremely addition with gambling so some of them urge to play more gambling even though they know already there's a probability to lose their assets. Not all the time its all about the risk might as well people want to entertain only themselves it's the most use of the gambling to give fun to the people and just an additional to earn extra money.

When it comes to emotions  gamblers are good in handling emotions.  They loss they forget about it move forward and sometimes like  me when I loss I don't really feel bad and that doesn't make me I should give up in the next game.
