There is a new wallet called Joltz Wallet that will be available for Android and iOS. It's going to support Taproot. You can keep an eye on it if you want. It's currently in a beta testing phase. https://www.joltz.app/walletI didn't know they renamed it, but this wallet is available for linux, mac os, wind0ws os, and Android, so it's not only a mobile wallet. On all other versions including download from website, all files are still named Green wallet: https://github.com/Blockstream/green_qt/releasesIt happed about one week ago, on 29 May. So it's pretty fresh information. I think it's going to take a while before they change all the wording and switch from Blockstream Green to calling their software Blockstream App. Green is stuck to everyone's mind, and whoever knows something about Blockstream also knows that their native wallet is Green.

The wallet promises to provide what they call wrapped USDT, which is a 1:1 taproot asset for USDT in a fully transparent Ethereum network. I have no idea how this will work, but it looks promising. I have a feeling it will be a good alternative wallet in a few months. It's currently available for testing only on iOS, which allows me to test it.

It's interested to see they are also supporting Musig2 and wrapped USDT on Lightning network. Before anyone jumps on using this wallet I would recommend reading what was written on their website: Currently the wallet supports BTC and wrapped USDT until Tether formally issues USDT as a Taproot Asset following their big announcement. Wrapped USDT is a Taproot Asset that is 1:1 backed by USDT on Ethereum in a fully transparent treasury. Joltz will publish proof-of-reserves for the wrapped USDT asset, and it will be available for users to acquire in-app via swaps. When Tether formally issues USDT, users will be able to swap from their wrapped USDT to the Tether-issued USDT. Other assets like DePix will also be added soon.

After " julerz12's earlier bump" on the AirGap wallet thread, I went over their release notes [companion app and Vault app] and discovered that roughly three months ago, this forgotten wallet also added support for Taproot addresses:

I was also surprised to find that Liana wallet is not in the list. It deserves to be added because it is so far the only wallet here with the full Miniscript-Tapscript support. Liana added Taproot support starting with release v5.0. Subsequent releases, such as 8.0, extended the wallet’s capability to pair with various hardware wallets that support Taproot.

Liana and AirGap wallet have now been added to the list. I tried AirGap wallet few times but I never had the chance to check if Taproot was supported. Another wallet I know started supporting Taproot is Cake wallet, and that is available on all devices. Thank you both SFR10 and satscraper for reporting this, and I am calling everyone else to report any other wallets supporting Taproot, if they are not listed already.

Cygan posted about Bluewallet full support for taproot today https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5425971.msg66093522#msg66093522You can now get taproot addresses on Bluewallet now. You can remove the partial support as it is fully supported now on version 7.2.2 which was released lately.

I saw this, but thank you for reminding me. Blue wallet was already listed in my list, but now I removed word partial from it, and updated everything. I am not totally sure if Blocksrteam Green wallet (renamed to Blockstream App) now also have full taproot support, but I think it does. I would be grateful if someone could confirm that.

I don't see anything taproot-related update in their GitHub repo's changelog aside from the the ability to send to bech32m address that was implemented years ago. But here's my test to be sure: I've updated my app as well ( yesterday's release) and there's no option to create a bech32m account, I tried to enable " Experimental Features" and the result is the same.

Thank you. I also checked on bitcoin wiki page, and according to that source Taproot should be fully supported now. That website can also be used for checking all other bitcoin wallets, and I added one more BitcoinSafe wallet that was previously missing in my list: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Bech32_adoption

Thank you. I also checked on bitcoin wiki page, and according to that source Taproot should be fully supported now. That's weird, I tried to create a new software wallet to see if there's an option to create a P2TR account and the only options are " Native SegWit" and their " 2-of-2 2FA". If I enable the 'Advanced Options', only their old " Legacy SegWit" and " 2-of-3 2FA" are added. Using my existing wallets have the same options as well. Could be a mistake in the WiKi article, unless I'm missing something or it's currently exclusive to their HW.

It imports the xpub (from the connected HW device - Trezor Model T) using the BIP84 standard. I downloaded it again and got the same result: there is no mention of changing the script for taproot (changing the derivation path will only result in another xpub based on bech32 native segwit BIP84).

Which version is the latest one? 5.1.2 or 5.1.3? I am looking at a GitHub thread from last year where one user requested from Blockstream to add support for creating Taproot accounts in the app ( https://github.com/Blockstream/green_android/issues/233). According to that user, the 'add account' feature for a wallet completely disappeared with version 5.0, but it came back again with 5.1.0. He doesn't mention that he can create a Taproot account, though. Same as you.

It doesn't seem like he's talking about TapRoot specific account in that side note, but the " Add Account" button in general which is also available when I tested the app. And nice job on finding a related issue so we can use it as reference, since the issue is still in " Open" status, it's safe to assume that it's still not available in the latest release nor the current branch. Which version is the latest one? 5.1.2 or 5.1.3? I've tested the desktop version, its latest release is v2.0.31.

The GitHub request, in general, was about adding support to create Taproot accounts because it was missing. He asked if there were any updates about Taproot in October. We can again assume that it was still not supported at that point. Hence, the question. On top of that, the 5.0 version of the app removed the "add account" feature altogether. This came back later, but there is probably still no option to add a Taproot account. The OP didn't mention seeing it, and the issue has not been closed yet.

List is updated again. Somehow I missed this until now, but Mycelium wallet added full Taprot support few months ago. I didn't test this myself because I don't like this wallet, but it's easy to verify everything on Mycelium github page: https://github.com/mycelium-com/wallet-android/issues/655If you notice any other wallets I missed, please report it here. Thanks.

There are two interesting wallets that support Taproot addresses but do not keep coins on those addresses - they automatically swap them to Layer 2 instead. Arkade wallet ( https://arkade.money) receives sats at Taproot addresses and swaps the received sats to Ark. Blitz ( https://wallet.blitz-wallet.com) receives sats at Taproot addresses and swaps the received sats to Spark.

In that case, I don't think it's a good idea to include Arkade Wallet and Blitz in the OP. Or, at least, he can add them with a visible note, informing the readers that your bitcoin will automatically be swapped from L1 BTC to L2 BTC. Without such a notification, someone might find this thread and decide to test one of those two wallets, only to find themselves in a situation where their bitcoin is gone and was swapped to something they never requested.

Blitz ( https://wallet.blitz-wallet.com) receives sats at Taproot addresses and swaps the received sats to Spark. But why do this? Well OK I guess for Arkade it makes sense because this is an Ark wallet, and not really a regular Bitcoin wallet, and to use the Ark layer we'd make use of Taproot addresses. But automatically sending coins received from Taproot addresses to different layers is quite strange unless that is the officially prescribed method of on-ramping coins onto the layer.
