In case my previous posts weren't clear, my response was based on my own experience! I don't want to go into details here, but watching a 4K video at 60fps consumes around "15-23 GB/hour"

I don't think you understand how data spending is working with VPN and movies, but you can use some software meters to measure exactly how much GB you are spending per day.
For me it's silly to use any VPN just to watch 4k or 8k videos, but that is just me, and bigger problem in that case could be vpn slower speed limitation.
Anyway, that 2TB per month limit can be understandable if we know that NYM is using decentralized infrastructure model, especially in anonymous mode with 5-hop routing.
I know there are better VPN services with unlimited data, but they are all centralized.

I think for some its just the thought of having a limit of bandwith that makes them avoid VPNs with that "feature". At least I know that's how it is for me, I simply woulnd't want to have that over my head, especially since quality VPNs with no limit (like Mullvad) are still pretty affordable.

For me its not really surprising that someone is using VPN for watching 4k movies, if you are downloading them from trackers, or for example if you are unlocking streaming platform's content from other countries. The latter was the main reason I started using ExpressVPN years ago. Back in the day it was the best VPN for streaming purposes and the only one that was reliable for Netflix, but it also had a premium price (iirc 100 euro per year).

Regarding the VPN slowing you down, I don't think that's a problem if you are paying for a good VPN.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in some countries it's not safe at all to download from torrents or watch illegal IPTV, internet providers is following your traffic. And offcourse, legal streaming like Netflix, sometimes you need to change your location to access content which isn't available in your country.
Sometimes I watch IPTV with VPN, and yeah, 4K channels requires lot of data and good speed. But even HD channels which isn't compressed eats lot of GB.

Yep. For example, Germany is notorious for that, issuing large fines to those who download movies from trackers. And even if your country is not as strict as Germany, it is a good idea to be extra careful because you never know when that is going to change.

Mullvad is starting with my PC and I almost never turn it off (rare ocassions I have to switch it off is for Ticketmaster and few other sites). So yeah, don't want to have any limits.

Browsing with VPN will always have slower speed compared to browsing without any VPN, that is a fact.
But that also depends on selected location, load, latency, and bunch of other factors.

Not sure if it's because I chose the biggest quality (even though I'm sure I chose 720p only) or the app is just bad at auto selection. The odd thing is that using a VPN helps me stream faster. And this is why people should support and push for net neutrality on legal level. Aside from throttle certain website/traffic, few ISP even intentionally block certain competitor. Unfortunately many country don't have one, where law on EU is flawed and law on US removed some years ago.

Yeah, streaming not even on highest quality requires lot of data. I remember when I didn't had unlimited mobile internet plan on my phone I avoided opening Youtube and disabled autoplay video on social media. Otherwise I would have reached and exceeded data limits in few days.
If streaming works faster with VPN than without it, I would consider to change my internet provider.

Starting to get a bit off topic, but you might want to try a debrid service like real-debrid.com or torbox.app, they have a lot of files already cached so you just download everything instantly and at full speed (or stream without any lag through Stremio). I do that for movies and tv shows, no issues at all.

You also won't necessarily need a VPN to torrent anymore (if you are in a country that sends those kind of letters threatening legal action), since your ISP won't know you are torrenting copyrighted files.

If you look it like that for one month, than LNVPN is $0.1 for one day but you can't purchase Mullvad for one day as far as I know
There is no guarantee Mullvad will be here forever, so I like to research and test possible alternatives.

Yes, VPNs are mostly used for streaming and gaming. There are things that Netflix has but there are things that it doesn't but Prime Video or Paramount+ or Hulu has. It's stupid to pay every month to all of them and sometimes when you rarely have a time and watch movies once in a while, it's stupid to pay monthly even one subscription. Often, you want to watch movies and stream sports at the same time. The best solution to this problem is VPN because for a few bucks, you can download any movie, tv series, shows, documentaries, anime and so on from a torrent website in HD or 4K quality. You can even download 3D movies.

For slow-paced games, you can probably have a decent experience with any VPN that's on your list, but for fast-paced ones, I think Mullvad is somewhat great ^{[I usually get around 50-60 ping with the closest location & best possible configuration]}.
