The "very possible" of it reaching to 20 dollars depends on the market. So, if we believe that bitcoin could be 100k+ this year, then we could see matic be 20+ dollars this year as well, if we believe that bitcoin will be under 68k ATH price, there is no way that matic could see 20 bucks at all. If anyone thinks that the price of matic could go to 20 bucks without a huge hype (just like it happened in 2021) in the crypto market, they are wrong.

Just because you have matic and invested into it, doesn't mean that you should have unrealistic approach to it, you need to expect realistic stuff. Like being $3 is quite realistic and could happen, that is almost 2x and should be making you happy.

If I remember correctly, it was close to $3 before its ATH went past $2.
But perhaps the expectation of Polygon hitting $20 in the time period OP is talking about probably needs a lot of impact and the conspiracy theories that go with it. I honestly feel like Polygon is an investment as well. It's awesome since they got into layer 2. The price went up like crazy and I'm really grateful for that.

Polygon is a good side chain coin that could see upward movement in price provided more utility is deploy! If polygon start to develop and add more use case beyond been a side chain, the cryptocommunity might price polygon more in value. Polygon is so cheap and fast to use for "De-Fi". The sidechain has so much potential to take the world by storm. By taking the security of the main ETH blockchain, Polygon becomes a better choice than competing platforms like Binance Chain and Solana. Yet, the coin (MATIC) is trading below the double-digits. That's surprising to me, considering that the sidechain is quite convenient for day-to-day payments. If you compare fees on Polygon vs Binance Chain, you'll notice the former has the lowest gas fees. All Polygon needs is hype (mainstream demand) and it could soar all the way to the moon.

I do not think so. even I doubt Matic can break 10$ this year. somehow this project doesn't seem to get much attention despite being one of the top ones. Polygons are like cardano or tron, great projects but somehow undervalued. it seemed that people were more interested in Solana, Avalanche, or Terra. just look at the price increased quite high.

It isn't the only one that is fast but bnb and other alternatives are also fast but matic is much cheaper compared to them. Ethereum can be secure but no, matic didn't adopt it because there are many news about hacks and exploits on the matic network. This can be the reason why many users won't use the coin but if they only did then matic will be at two digits already but if that happens then I think the fees in the matic are also going to increase. Polygon is very potential coin with very high and real Usecase but I don't know why it's still trading below 5$. In gaming polygon has very high Usecase and very low fee as compare to other. One thing is not good that it's transaction speed is not much best yet and might be this why the price not yet shooted. If they add some features and work for transaction fee then 20$ is not big target

Actually, having too many products is also not a positive when many projects are just created and not able to develop. I personally see that besides BSC, Polygon is also a space with too many junk products. We need quality, not quantity. You are right, it was closer to 3 dollars, never broke over 3 dollars if I am not wrong and that means that we are talking about x7 times the ATH price. If people think that Matic could go 7x higher than the current ATH price, then I would say good speed and have a good life. But I do not think that it could do that, not that it is impossible but it would be very hard to achieve.

This is why we are going to end up seeing something a bit more difficult and different which would be investing based on realistic expectations, like maybe reaching to 3$, that would be difficult already and it would probably not happen anytime soon anyway, but even the goal should be that low and realistic.

I doubt if polygon can reach such rate. Dapps only was not enough to be used as the point to think that polygon will be going to the moon. it needs more than it. I think that if you must also aware if polygon is having so many competitors in the market that has better performance than it. I may not feel surprised to see that if polygon will did so well but it doesn't mean this can reach double digits easily. not for this time or later. Poly will have big valuation caused by that.

It's very reasonable to think that this time or this year Polygon (MATIC) is hard to hit the $20 price tag. currently the price of MATIC is still below $1.5 and still very far to the price of $20. in fact, I think that when it hits $10, or is above $5 this year, that's good enough. if you think about it, it took more than 17x what it is now to hit $20.

Matic is a good coin, and could probably run into the tens of dollars in the near future. but I don't think it's this year. besides, the ATH on this coin is less than $3. well, at first it's better to hope this coin can reach new ATH this year
