I would say it is certainly worth it to also deal with new technologies and read into it. I would split up my portfolio, put something into the well established coins, but the real fun comes into play when you find projects like Solana. I would stay away from meme coins, but that is only my preference.

I have a bad experience investing in new projects, after I invested in new projects not long after that the price fell very quickly. And it's quite
a long time to have to wait until the price goes up again, because as you explained, most of the new projects that appear now are copycat from
previous projects. So it has no real use, new projects are created only for the personal benefit of the project team. If the team projects already
get the desired profit, then usually the projects will be abandoned, so it's no wonder so many altcoins end up being deadcoins. Indeed the safest
for investment is to choose a top crypto which usually has a very high demand, so even if the price goes down, it won't take long for it to recover.

How can you sure about that? I know that the dump that happened with bitcoin has been triggering so many people to be liquidated but it seems like that ibtcoin is slowly recovering again. Im not sure if bitcoin will be dropping back again to the 30k like what happened with it a few months ago. Ethereum was also following bitcoin but it's not dropping so hard.
There will always be a chance for bitcoin and ethereum to recover and this drops caused by evergrande news and some property developers in china that was bankrupt.

So for projects which are relying from their crowdsourcing funds, they can easily abandon their project once they have no more funds to augment their needs.
