I purchased a Titan BTC silver bitcoin via a friend about 4 years ago, its a 2016 silver 1BTC coin. Unfortunately I have been unable to redeem the coin and Titan are not responding to my contact attempts, both by email and via the website.

The private key is not brining in the address asociated with the coin when I add the private key into blockchain.com - this just resulted in an incorrect address showing up in my wallet with a 0 ballance

I have also tried Coinomi and edge both are saying invalid private key, can anyone here help me contact titan to resolve this? as I am rather worried.

Sorry if I was not clear - I do not own a 2fa coin, mine is a 2016 silver private key. it seems the private key is incorrect on my coin. but I will post there and hopefully he will assist.

More issues with Titan smh..this is certainly troubling and more over to the fact that Titan has been ignoring customers for quite some time now, despite them trying to deny it. I would post your issue in the thread I created (that minerjones posted above) as well. It seems to be the only way you can get a response from Titan (though their responses have been very vague to this point, and seem to be ignoring most questions asked of them).

The private key under the hologram should be in the form of a Mini private key. I'm unsure if any of the wallets you mentioned in the OP are able to convert as I haven't tried them. I just recently peeled a 2016 Titan One – 1oz Gold and everything worked smooth when sweeping it with Mycelium. I used the Android version for this. Be very mindful that you haven't capitalized letters that are lower case and that you aren't putting in 0's for O's and vice versa. The text under my hologram was a little bit fuzzy so if similar with yours you could be misinterpreting a letter.

You will be able to find the public address associated with the coin at TitanBTC's verify page. Enter the digits on the face side of the hologram and hit submit code. The webpage probably doesn't display accurate information about the loaded value (mine doesn't currently) but the full public address will be below and clickable. Let us know how it goes and feel free to message me any pictures you don't feel safe publicly posting.

This is the address showing from the 1st bits.

https://www.walletexplorer.com/address/1G1g5qGLepGPZhv6hXxWY91tPjv2Ey76vF

I have tried mycellium snd it also says that key is invalid, its 30 characters long - and I have tried numerous times now, I do believe this is a manufacturing error - hence the need to speak to them, unfortunately I am in the EU and not the USA so contacting is a daunting task.

what do I do here. thank you greatly for all help

It's either bricked due to manufacturing or you're messing up a letter/number. Not much we can do without seeing the private key ourselves. There's not much I can do in terms to make you trust me with it but I have compiled this community thread and have seen what's under the hologram on countless coins.

its the former not the later, I can assure you. nothing is close to being a number or letter that could be misconstrued.

I do appreciate the offer but obviously I dont know you personally and you are not on the listed escrows that I can see.

would anyone in the USA be able to contact Titan on my behalf and point them here?

Is it possible the wallet is looking for a private key format that differs from the one provided on the coin?  I’m not an expert in redeeming private keys but there have been numerous struggles with people trying to redeem improper formats etc.

Have you tried other wallets to import it with? Does it come up as invalid everywhere?

it is possible that he is not importing them correctly and thus getting a different "address'  for example below using electrum,

If the address starts with a "3" you have to prepend “p2wpkh-p2sh:”  before the private key.

If the addresses begin with "bc1" then you prepend “p2wpkh:” before the private key.

See this is exactly my point. Importing a private key isn’t as simple and universal as copy/pasting an address. I didn’t even know about what you just described.

However I think he’s saying that the address he’s looking at is via firstbits from the outside hologram. I don’t think the private key he’s using is returning anything at all.

Edit: I skimmed too fast. I see he said at first it did return an address just incorrect. But then Mycelium said it was “invalid”.

without seeing it and actually attempting it - it is hard to render a full and accurate opinion. I do know that there can be multiple addresses for a key based on the format used - I found this out for the first time maybe a year or so ago, and while importing a key and and having a small heart attack when it said it had zero balance - I had just started using electrum so was not aware that I had to prepend the key - I did realize suddenly that the public address was completely different and that got me heading down the right path to fix the issue. End of the day, funds were swept.

I believe teeGUMES to be above reproach in the honesty arena. But if you are wanting to use an escrow that is listed on the forums, there are several of us here. I am one as is minerjones and several others.

The private key is not brining in the address asociated with the coin when I add the private key into blockchain.com - this just resulted in an incorrect address showing up in my wallet with a 0 ballance
That's due to not having proper support for mini private keys... Despite what the following message says about "importing a compressed WIF [starting with K or L]", I was able to get to the correct address when I imported the uncompressed WIF [starting with 5] instead!

Note: It's not safe to use an online wallet for importing an address that has a significant amount + despite knowing some ways to convert that mini private key, I prefer to keep it as the last resort option [depending on how you do it and the current state of your device, it "might" not be safe]!

I have tried mycellium snd it also says that key is invalid, its 30 characters long - and I have tried numerous times now, I do believe this is a manufacturing error
Since you were able to import the same mini private key to blockchain.com's wallet, would you mind doing the same in electrum [it supports that format]?

I also have a 0.1-BTC Titan coin which I've won at an action about a year ago here. It is attached with a COA. I had once tried to claim the demonination in line with the instructions for several times but always in vain. May be my knowledge is not suffucient to do it.

You too? Wow. It shouldn’t be very difficult unless there are problems with the private key itself, like being incorrect for example. Have you tried using Coinomi? Ballet cards work great as well.  I am starting to wonder how many people are going to have, or already have had issues when it comes to the non-2FA Titan coins.

Anytime I want to sweep any paper wallet of considerable value, I sweep the private keys offline on an air-gapped device computer/cell... using electrum. It is the safest way to do it without exposing your private keys ever on a live or hot computer where if you are infected with any type of malware/virus, you can lose your BTC.

I wrote the following thread awhile back about how to do it with electrum.

I can't tell from the description on this thread where the issue is exactly, but I've emailed and provided instructions on how I can resolve it for you.
