Sooo, I did the unthinkable..I sent my USDT to the wrong wallet address. I am so ashamed. I tried sending USDT from my Mexc and Kucoin wallets to my Gate.io wallet and thought that I had the deposit address to my Gate.io wallet copied. Instead it turned out to be the contract address for Realm token...
So here goes..I'm 99% sure i already know the answer to this, but it doesn't hurt to ask, just to make sure...Is there any way of recovering my USDT? And trust me, this was an EXPENSIVE lesson on making sure I check, double check, and triple check the wallet address the next time....
Thank you in advance.

Contact the developer behind the project, if they are willing, they might send you your coin back. But many people make this mistake and that is all, just like a lost coin. Before sending coin or token, check and recheck the address before sending, making sure it is the correct recipient address. So sorry about this.

How much did you send there? I honestly think the developers or the project won't care about your mistake if you just sent $100 or so. Even if you can give them a grand or more to help with your mistake, they might be unable to do so due to security reasons (at least they'll probably told you this). Sorry to say but you should not be hopeful about this.

It's not hard to find, here's their website. https://www.realm.art. I also saw your USDT thereA bit pessimistic about your desire to recover your money, especially if you send it through a centralized exchange where it is difficult to prove ownership. It seems you have to involve the support of both exchanges (MEXC and Kucoin).

I know it's a long shot, but I was going to try. And yep, those 2 USDT transaction are mine! Do you think I should be more focused on reaching out to the exchanges?? I suppose it would be up to Realm to want to send it back. They exchanges' attitudes is more like "be cautious when sending your crypto because if you lose it, you lose it..."

No, it's conditional. You just need to wait for the realm team's instructions whether they want exchange support help on this or just need screenshots proof of your withdrawals (without supports). You better have to focus on convincing the realm team to be willing to return your funds. Good luck.

That's unfortunate. I've tried to wary you back then: You should take a precaution when you want to send or receive a token/cryptocurrencies between an exchange(or any wallet that you didn't control the key / custodial wallet). If you are sending the cryptocurrencies in the wrong network/chain or any unsupported cryptocurrencies within the exchange, it's very likely your money will be lost, and there is a little possibility you can't can get it back.
Don't rely on which transaction fees are cheaper, instead, you should choose a supported token/cryptocurrency and chain/network between any exchange or service.
I think besides directly contacting their CEO, you should also communicate your issue within their social media. See their Twitter account, on the bio it listed their Telegram and Discord. State your issue there, some of the team members might hear you and they may help you forward the issue to others. Just be careful of the scammers if you are trying to address the issues on their social media.

There's no way for you to recover your money again. You have been losing your USDT coz it's get stored in real contract address and this will never be recovered coz the exchange site has no power to do that. And trust me, this was an EXPENSIVE lesson on making sure I check, double check, and triple check the wallet address the next time....
Im always copy and paste to make sure if i have copied the right address. I thought that contacting the owner of the project will be also useless as they will argue if that's your fault. The contract was not the same as a common ethereum address. I hope you will be so lucky about that.

The contract was not the same as a common ethereum address. I hope you will be so lucky about that. I completely understand that it is my fault. If it were me, and the person had proof and I was already a multi-million dollar corporation I'd return the money. I was just hoping they'd work with me, especially if I have the proof that they they are my funds. I don't expect the exchange site to do anything, but was hoping the recipient of the funds, in this case REALM, could help. If not, it's just an expensive lesson...But I really want my money back.

A costly mistake as always because people wont learn up if they wont be experiencing those losses even though its not really necessary to experience these unfortunate events to learn because having common sense would do or would be enough for you to avoid those events. This is why you should need to double or triple check the address before sending out your funds into some wallet because one digit lost or changed then that wont able to reached out that specific wallet but instead on other people.
