How can I find the original tweet with this news?
I could not find a tweeter post as well as there's no @realbitcoinmagzine account, but I saw some post that says "credit to @realbitcoinmagzine Instagram post, so I search an Instagram account and see the account. https://www.instagram.com/realbitcoinmagazine/

Unfortunately, I could not use the search function using the word " Slovakia" because all posts are in photos.

Hope the principles/ideals of Bitcoin and its true purpose are taught them, because that's is the foundation upon which they can learn or grow quickly/properly in Bitcoin.
If you don't teach this, they could find it hard to cope with reality. .. The truth would probably end up bursting their little bubbles

When I worked at school, I told my students about Bitcoin. When I did it the first time in 2019 in 7th grade, they didn't know about Bitcoin at all. When I did it the next year in 6th grade, most said they were familiar with it, and even gave some estimates about the price (although the estimates were months old, it was still impressive). But in my country it's all up to individual teachers mentioning stuff to their students, of course, and there are no lessons which are supposed to be dedicated to Bitcoin or even Blockchain. Is it the same in Slovakia? I remember that France added Bitcoin to their school program nation-wide, and now I wonder if it's just a particularly progressive (and most likely private) school in Slovakia, from which the photo comes.

How can I find the original tweet with this news? I am just curious if this really is learning Bitcoin basics or just one of English lessons, where kids read English book? Or, I dont understand school program. Why students in Slovakie ( basically 5-7 grade perpahs), where Slovak is an official language, study Bitcoin basics on English. I am sure that their ministry of education can translate this book to Slovak. But, even if this is just an English class, learning basics is wonderful.

Here is a link to the original tweet: https://twitter.com/BitcoinMagazine/status/1465063022112747534

If you take a closer look at the picture from that tweet, you will notice that the students are actually reading the book in Slovak, not English.

This book does not seem to be part of the formal curriculum in Slovakia, however, an initiative has funded 1000 books and donated them to over 100 schools in Slovakia through a successful crowdfunding campaign. You can read more here.

Is the Government of Slovakia aware of this?

Anyway, I welcome Slovakia's initiative,

Wow, I wish the government in our country will adopt crypto so bitcoin education will be included in the curriculum.

And many others....
It's not a program by the government, there is no crypto or bitcoin curriculum introduced in any school, this is a one-time event book reading in a single school.

The book is translated in almost every language, as you can see from the title of the book in the pics, it's not in English.
As I said above it's not a government-issued book or a standardized course.

That aside, there are a lot of courses or seminars about crypt or blockchain already available in universities in Slovakia, for example at Tuke or at Mateja Bela, I don't know much about them but they are recognized in the credit system.

The weird thing is that there is no backstory alongside the image. I’ve looked through the whole Twitter thread and sought through www, but alas came back empty handed. The image unfortunately does not tell us if the book was used for promotional purposes within the classroom, whether this is a one-off or a regular presence in that school/more schools, whether is down to a nerdy teacher’s interest, or whatever. Context matters ...

I also conducted a search, and what got into my answers directly says that the goal was precisely to draw the attention of people of different ages to Bitcoin at an elementary level.

Quote
It’s a book for all ages. The book contains sections like trading, money, printing bitcoin & little information about Satoshi.

Aim of introducing the book about bitcoin at the elementary level to make aware children of trending crypto & bitcoin.

And that ladies and gentlemen is a very good move that children should learn more about Bitcoin early. This reminds me 2 years ago that I was a keynote speakers of the crypto mass adoption roadshow in the Philippines, roaming around universities to educate the students about cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology. I wanna see some schools here in the Philippines that would finally adopt a Bitcoin subject not just to college students, but at least high school students would do.

It is awesome to see this. Schools cannot teach bitcoin because the education curriculum is being regulated by the Government and the Government of most countries is trying to kick against bitcoin so teaching cryptocurrency in school will only be possible in countries that have legalized bitcoin.

I mean, they are doing the right thing. After all, now everything goes online, cryptocurrency is developing, children also need to be taught from an early age to financial literacy in cryptocurrency, I think this will only benefit both children and this country. It is better to learn about cryptocurrency at school than after a few years, to learn about it and regret that there was no financial literacy in cryptocurrency before.

The book they are reading is this one :

It's available on Amazon easily in different formats.
This kind of books really attracts young kids because of how decorative it is. The overall design really is intended for kids.
Well, as long as it is all about the basics of Bitcoin and they can understand it easily then there is nothing wrong. Maybe with this, we will see other schools in different countries do the same what do you think Smiley.

Is the Government of Slovakia aware of this?
Many here said that this program isn't from the government but maybe from the school/s themselves.
Well, I don't think too that any government will allow Bitcoin related curriculums for some reasons. Maybe El Salvador will be the first one to introduce it. We don't know Cheesy.

Things like this will not happen in all countries. So, lucky for those who feel this way.
but it seems that it is starting to appear intensively carried out there because before this there were also some news that made things like this and of course this is a pretty good thing.
Are they planning to be more bitcoin friendly like elsavador did?
Interesting to see how it ends.

Nice one, better to let them know early what's bitcoin really is, before they can obtain wrong information anywhere. they're kids so it's a good move to educate them what are the benefits when it comes such assets especially how useful it is when it comes trading.. I see it seems a story books but yep it's a big help to spread the good information of bitcoin as well.. Big thumbs up to them..

They’ve placed another image on their Twitter, from what I presume is the same school:

The school is this one, but I still didn’t manage to see a full depiction of the events. It does look like that precisely, a promotional event through some sort of bitcoin workshop, whereby the book is given to the students as part of the deal. But that's just my guess.

Honestly speaking, I was just watching the picture. And I am so happy to see that these little kids are reading the books with full curiosity. How much interest have they shown in the book? What is clearly seen in this picture? That's really interesting. I hope one day I will see this type of class in my neighbor's school. Just think, when all these people are grown, they all have the potential to be a millionaire. That means they are sitting in the future millionaire group. Though there are no facilities like this in my country, I am thinking of teaching my youngest brother about bitcoin.

a very good step taken by the slovak government, because it applies bitcoin learning at an early age, maybe the slovak government realizes bitcoin will become very popular in the future, and can make a fantastic business, i also want my country to introduce bitcoin to elementary school children ..

teaching bitcoin to early childhood may be a very difficult challenge, because we know bitcoin is very complicated, requires extensive experience and a lot of knowledge, but teaching bitcoin to early childhood may have a very positive impact on their future , because they have mastered the basics of bitcoin, maybe if they go to college they will be easier to understand it all..

This is really a step in the right direction, for this children to know about cryptocurrency at this little stage is a great feeling. Kudos to their country for supporting cryptocurrency, some of us comes from countries where crypto is banned and anyone caught by the government engaging in crypto is haunted.

I was just wandering across the twitter when i saw @realbitcoinmagzine post in which they have shared an image of children learning about the basic of Bitcoin in one of the School in Slovakia and just shared it in WO thread
That’s good, this is the first time that I am really seeing a school that is teaching their students about Bitcoin. When I came across this it really made me happy seeing how a school has started teaching their students from a young age the basics of bitcoin. This will really go a long way to help as time goes on. It’s quite bad that I am the only one in my family that has shown interest in cryptocurrency.

Although I have my little brother and I have plans of teaching him about Bitcoin, I have been telling him about it, and I am hoping that as he grows he will develop interest. I have plans of opening a wallet for him and putting some coins in it for him to start with soon.

it's pretty cool, not many schools implement it and I think it's a great way to introduce bitcoin to kids. I also hope that here the children can learn it well in the hope that in the future they can use bitcoin. Bitcoin can be owned by anyone as long as they can manage it well. especially for the younger generation whose minds can be more open and intelligent. we know that the development of bitcoin is also getting better so as much as possible we prepare ourselves so that we can use bitcoin in the future well.
