The problem is they have supposedly good scores at Trustpilot and Askgamblers etc.

This is not a kyc issue at this point imo. This is just a delay or scam tactic only. Notarising a document means I need to contact a solicitor/lawyer and pay a fee to have the document notarised. Absolutely and utterly outragous and clearly nothing more than a nefarious action.

All this just for a simple first withdrawal.

Dear Brassnuts and community,

First off, thank you for chosing us as a platform of choice.

We also would like to apologize for the somewhat slow replies over the easter weekend, this case is handled by a dedicated, specialized team, which had reduced presence over this weekend.

While we have a policy to only request any KYC from players when it is absolutelly needed(a payment provider requests etc.), however, in this case, the players betting activity was flagged by our Sportsbook provider for unusual patterns which might be in breach of our terms. This in turn requires a mandated SOW/SOF check due to regulatory directives, this is called suspicious activity or suspicious transaction reporting.

This procedure has been initiated and we cannot share more details due to data protection policies. This procedure is not a regular KYC check, but an enhanced check and unfortunatelly, these take some more time. We will try to have the relevant department drop the request for notarized documents, however, we cannot promise anything as these regulations are rather unflexible.

Rest assured that the case is being handled with utmost priority and the team will be in touch soon.

We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding, we do see how extended KYC duration can be frustrating.

Kind regards,

Your Chipstars Team

Hiya,

There is nothing suspicious about my betting whatsoever and I will happily post every single bet I made if it helps to make sure that this is perfectly clear. I am currently screenshotting every singe bet right now.

The notarization request is the biggest flag however. No one in the industry has ever requested such a thing. This is a betting site, of which I used perfectly honestly and I will prove that without question, so why are they asking for things like notarization which is normally within the jurisdiction of such things as immigration authorities.

I will be going through every avenue possible to make sure this is dealt with fairly so let me state vehemently that you should not continue nefariously.

Crypto betting is a growing industry and you need to be doing things with integrity if you don't want to mess everything up. 5 days of radio silence, and then all of a sudden a request for notarized documentation? Don't be so utterly absurd. Nobody is going to believe that...

So you need to do the right thing and stop messing me about.

EDIT: Oh and btw, I did win around 2k GBP from a 1k approx deposit. I won 990 GBP on ROULETTE. Can you explain what could even be slightly suspicious about that roulette win?? I will post every single bet I made too. There is nothing suspicious about my play and I am now worried that you are just straight up trying to scam me.

Here is a list of every transaction I've ever made on Chipstars. It was one short afternoon of degenerate betting which I happened to win, and then all of this has happened.

Dear Brassnuts,

Thank you for your reply.

The handling department has decided to drop the request for a notarized passport, please be aware that this is a one off exception and that the SOW/SOF procedure is still ongoing nonetheless. The 5 calls of silence was explained before and such a procedure can take longer than that, at this point, this is not a mere basic KYC check anymore, with many more reviews and decisions to be made.
Bear in mind that nodoby has disputed the Roulette win round that is part of your game play, our historically very reliable 3rd party spotsbook partner has raised flags over a number of sportsbook tickets, which then triggers enhanced KYC procedures in turn.

For the time being, the department has received the requested information and is reviewing everything and we will be in touch if anything else is required.
Until then, we appreciate your patience and we assure you that this is handled with the utmost priority.

Still nothing from these guys wrt to the money owed. Not even an email to update on the situation. Nothing whatsoever.

All of this from just one afternoon of degeneracy.

Be very wary using this site in the future.

So about 5 days ago I spoke to their support and they said they had withdrawal problems due to some API and it would be sorted the next day. Well, nothing has happened at all and no communication again.

It's been so long now. I will give it a few more days and then I will make threads on all the other betting review sites.

Well, I am not assuming anything but to be honest, this is how going down usually start with most online platforms, not just casinos, they usually first have withdrawal issues that never seem to get resolved, meanwhile deposit is working perfectly well, to keep potential users positive enough to keep depositing, they make all sort of promises and asking users to be patient while they sort out all the withdrawal issues in no time, all this while they keep receiving deposits from unsuspecting users who don't know that they can't even withdraw their money if they wanted to immediately do that, this is exactly how I lost over $440 On BKEX exchange.

So, I've never used this casino even though I've been seeing them around for a while now, and I advice all to be cautious of them having withdrawal issues even at this early stage of their journey, there is never any issues with deposits, but potential scam casino are always very quick to announce that they have withdrawal issues, holding customers funds hostage, I usually see things like likes this as a big red flag, so, let's all be cautious of this, and do not fall victim to any scam this period.

Hiya,

Another update on this..... They are once again asking for a notarized passport. Aboslutely absurd.

Tomorrow I will start posting on all the other forums about this issue to see if we can get some logical thinking into them.

Hi there Brassnuts,
We have seen that support has accidentally requested a notarized passport anyway, this happened as they do not have insights into the risk departments team, we advise to just wait for a reply, all the necessary documents have been submitted and the notarized passport requirement was forfeited from us out of courtesy.
The risk department has requested new documents from you and will be taking the next steps when these documents have been received.
We appreciate your patience.

Yes. Out of the blue they're now asking for and I quote:

Quote
Crytpo exchange statement showing the account hold name who has transferred the money to your bank account
Crypto exchange statement showing how the funds have been accumulated

Neither of these things have anything to do with what's been going on whatsoever. So it is clearly just another small minded attempt at a delay.

Anyhow I have sent what they asked for and we will see how long it takes them to fix this priority issue.

I'll start formal complaint in next couple of days. People need to be protected from these crooks.

Just to update on this if anyone cares. After all sorts of absurd requests they are now asking me to prove how I fund my crypto and bank accounts. Bare in mind all I did was deposit once from a crypto wallet, like every other customer, and now here we are 2 months later with yet another delay tactic. Added to that they take days and sometimes weeks to respond, to what you would assume is an urgent matter.

Please please stay away from these crooks.

Here is the email they wrote to me:

The risk team has checked your screenshot and is informing you that the information from the screenshot is not relevant enough.
We need to see all the data and names on how your crypto account was funded and all the statements about where the funds to your bank account have been coming from.
Without that information, it is not possible to conclude the case. Please be so kind and provide us with these.

Kind regards!

Sincerely,
Ana Taylor

I follow what is happening here. They are delaying the payment, after asking for a notarized passport, they are also asking for proof of the origin of the money.  It's strange to me when a casino asks about the origin of money, I don't even know what kind of statements can be attached, or what names and data they are talking about. No casino has ever asked me for that, honestly, even their email confuses me.

They are neither the first nor the last to do these kinds of things, and every time it is a bitter experience. I guess you should ask them to clarify what they are actually looking for, I guess 3k is not small so I expect you to keep fighting. Just take it slow and be patient, maybe you should think about opening a topic in the scam accusation section.

Good luck.

Exactly this. They are purposely requesting something that is quite literally impossible hoping that I give up. Even then, like you, I am not even sure what they're asking for.

Unfortunately, for unaware customers, they have good reviews on several aggregate sites which tempted me in to playing there. 2 of those sites I have threads opened detailing what has happened and investigations are getting started. They've sometimes been taking a week to reply to me so it's just very very slow and frustrating.

First, they claimed that their sportsbook flagged your account for "unusual patterns" then they asked for all kind of personal documents and now they are not only asking for the source of funds but they want to know everything about your financial transactions! This is unacceptable.
I'm dure Even if yoy send them what they requested, they will wait few days/weeks then they will come up with something else and will keep doing so till you give up.
I'm sorry you had to go through all of this!

I think we know where this all heading , as this behavior of casino in delating withdrawal means either they are trying to let you get tired and stop claiming or they have no funds at all to pay you directly and still accumulating funds from other depositors to pay your winning  Grin Grin

how come that you have just accidentally request for notarized passport but now even asking for where did the funds comes from and your bank accounts fund? this is something we must be careful in dealing with this site.

This is the first time I know of a casino that asks about the source of funds for someone who gambles at their place. It should be that once the casino gets all kinds of personal documents, it is enough to prove that he did the verification well. Moreover, even asking for a passport.

This exceeds all the data sent. It seemed like they wanted to delay everything and had no intention of completing it. We don't know what they will ask for again after you send the documents they requested.

Hopefully, they will process everything and send you the money after what you do.
