At first, there was one whistleblower..

She got a lot of flack on social media for trying to embed the complaint in blockchain [and making some money off the record] from what I could tell.

A lot of people questioned her victimhood status.

Then the following day, 4 other former employees came out to support her [and backed up her statements].

Overall, I think OSHA needs to move in on SpaceX and shut them down... Sexual harassment in the workplace is a workplace safety violation.

The article reads like a fiction novel, sensationalized and exaggerated. Elon Musk has been tweeting out against the democratic establishment as of late, so the timings of these hit pieces are not entirely unsurprising.

Anyway, If you're a victim of sexual harassment, do not go to the company HR department for help like this woman. They act to protect the interest of the company, not you. If they could, they would fire you for even mentioning it to limit any liability, it's how corporations operate it even though they might pretend to care.

You'd think so, but reality is stranger than fiction sometimes. Giving the sheer amount of incels that fanboy Musk, it's not surprising this occurs within his corporation.

It's an individual claim backed up by multiple supporters who testified they've witnessed the same thing.

If we want to get the real truth, OSHA should move in, cast criminal charges against the corporation [unsafe workplace violation due to HR not reacting] and employees [the harassers]; they'd be able to testify under oath.

Not saying she is lying, just that the article reads like a novel. Tarnishing Musk and alluding to a toxic workplace environment, isn't that typical of the usual disgruntled employee that no longer holds their position and left in a rather bitter manner?

She can file her lawsuit, argue her case. Or, she can go to "the verge" and make sure everyone hears how terrible Elon Musk is. That works too, but only in such circumstances where, I might say, the allegations of misconduct could be erroneous.

Nothing like healthy scepticism and hard evidence

The news is legitimate. It has been published all over credible news sources like
https://www.nytimes.com/2021/12/14/science/spacex-sexual-harassment.html
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/spacex-faces-sexual-harassment-allegations-from-five-former-employees/

This doesn't mean that Musk has anything to do with the accusations or that SpaceX is worst than any other corporation on this matter.

There are also accusations about Tesla:
https://nypost.com/2021/11/19/elon-musks-tesla-sued-for-sexual-harassment-by-employee/

Corporations are characterized by vertical relations/power and, where this occurs, abuses happen.

SpaceX has a duty to investigate these accusations and punish any culprit, if there are enough evidence. It has no duty to accept all accusations just because they were made.

Some are arguing they didn't investigate the complaints or that the complaints were blocked before reaching HR. This is more serious.

Definitely a concerning issue, and it's legitimate, it's not limited to one incident, several women have already quit. It doesn't necessarily have something to do with Elon Musk, it's a large corporation and you'll be surprised to see how often it is in such companies. HR is most likely to ignore you or even fire you, I'm not sure what's the ideal way to deal with such issues in the workplace.

Giving the sheer amount of incels that fanboy Musk, it's not surprising this occurs within his corporation.

Are you already finding Elon Musk guilty even before the matter has gone to court based on prejudice? That will not be a right way to go on a matter like this that has someone's image at stake. Do not rubbish a man because you do not like him. Musk may not have any idea of what is going on in his company concerning that.

Not saying she is lying, just that the article reads like a novel. Tarnishing Musk and alluding to a toxic workplace environment, isn't that typical of the usual disgruntled employee that no longer holds their position and left in a rather bitter manner?

It smells like someone is out on a mission to destroy the integrity of Elon Musk. She should do more than what she is doing with her information and file a suit if she is sure of her claims. I read the part where she even complained certain male colleagues hugged her and I do not know when hugging becomes counted as a sexual harassment.

We can't be in position to know what exactly is happening in there, nor to that specific woman. Thus, we shouldn't judge before knowing the whole story, on top of that, this isn't an isolated incident. I don't believe that it's an attempt to hurt Elon's reputation, it doesn't directly have to do with him.

Culture comes from leadership. If leadership sets a culture, the employees will follow that culture.

The buck stops with leadership, not HR.
