Improvement of Bitcoin source code is one of good reasons, I agree.

However, it does not mean satoshi has to appear in public in order to contribute to Bitcoin source code. satoshi can make such contribution in a shadow and it's thanks to a real decentralization of Bitcoin, isn't it?

satoshi decided to leave our community but he did realize that there are different ways to contribute to Bitcoin.

Sum up, no good reasons to appear again in public.

What if he is actually contributing to the bitcoin core because we just don't know who he actually is.
And what if there are better coders than Satoshi at present who are contributing to the bitcoin core already.

To be honest, I don't want the identity of Satoshi to be revealed because I think his anonymity is a big reason why people believe in bitcoin.

I don't see any reason for him to come back. It would do more bad than good imo. It would hurt the decentralized image of bitcoin. Look at ETH for example. Most people see ETH as a company with a CEO (Vitalik). When you ask people the current owner of bitcoin, they can't answer. Everybody knows that Vitalik manages ETH though.

Yes, Buterin runs ETH with other co-founders. This allows you to quickly make decisions, and find a way out of difficult situations and be updated in a timely manner. However, there is no close-knit team behind Bitcoin; consensus is rarely reached on any issues. Therefore, complete decentralization gains in some way and loses in some way.
In this situation, Satoshi Nakamoto is hardly worth publishing himself. In the absence of a creator, no one can apply for a patent on the invention of bitcoin and it remains completely decentralized.

I can't think any reason which is logical and important enough for Satoshi to consider coming back to the scene. There are some obviously selfish reasons like we need a figurehead or something for bitcoin but that kinda defeats the ethos of the cryptocurrency.  Anyways, even if we think of that perfect reason for him to come back, I don't think he'll ever want to again. There's just too much that happened already and this is what he really wanted anyways: for bitcoin to grow without him and not really depending on one central figure.

I don't believe you mean technical improvement, but you probably imagine that some kind of massive pump would happen then. I believe the exact opposite would happen, as most media would focus on the alleged 1+ million BTC mined by Satoshi and the possibility of him dumping them on the market. If Satoshi is alive, he knows very well that it is best to remain anonymous not only for the reason already stated, but also for his own safety.

I believe that Satoshi has always been around using a different Pseudonym or even his real name and is perhaps a public person. We just won't find out who exactly is behind the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. He could be literally anyone in the crypto space. What are the odds that someone who develops the code for Bitcoin then completely stops participating in the digital revolution he or she initiated? Isn't it more likely that he also contributes to code bases for anonymous coins and other stuff he understands well when it comes to cryptocurrencies? I think the only realistic scenario where we could assume that Satoshi completely quit is when he or she was already very old. If that is not the case, I can't imagine how someone in his 40s or even 50s launches Bitcoin and says goodbye.

Without some plans Satoshi could never keep his identity hidden from the world. For a person/team who had innovated such a big thing revealing his identity could bring him fame, but he hasn't taken the note. He has given the innovation to the world and stays away, which means it has got some reason. People around have got different views on his identity reveal, as some people have started to themselves as Satoshi without proper proof.

My opinion on his identity reveal, let him stay away. It is our responsibility to take the innovation to the next level of adoption eliminating the middle man for which the innovation happened.

Ok, let say Satoshi shows himself to us in this forum, providing any evidence that he/she/they are the real Satoshi with a sign in the wallet address. What next? That can only make him in danger because, at the same time, many people will hunt him/her/them because they want to ask more about blockchain and his background, not including the government with their agency. Can we imagine what will happen to him/her/them if that happens? We can feel satisfied because we finally know him/her/them but what about him/her/them? Can we guarantee him/her/them to be safe from any disturbing or mess that can happen later? I guess not

Personally I don’t really see the need for having Satoshi Nakamoto back. If he should come back, there’s likely going to be a change in the price of Bitcoin, and is more likely to be a decline. Why I am saying that it is more likely going to be a decline in the price of Bitcoin is because, they hold the largest amount of the coin, and if they should intend to withdraw it whenever they show up or take anything out from that amount that is in that address, it is going to affect the market heavily and it will drop.

This will in turn affect other crypto currencies (altcoins) in the market, such as ethereum, and others that their prices correlates with Bitcoin. Bitcoin has kept progressing whether there is Satoshi Nakamoto or not, so why do we even need them now? If he or they decides to stay out of the picture, then we should let him be.

Although I am not in favor of Satoshi returning as it would be a public judging piece from authorities around the world, I would like it to appear just to show the world how ignorant they are in believing that Craig is the real Satoshi, at least . For those of the governments that recognize him as Satoshi, and for those who pose as him, I would like you to thank him with a signed message letting him know that some things are still wrong.
