The number of multiple accounts is increasing day by day? Multiple accounts should be covered. Otherwise, the number of accounts will be a lot, but it will be difficult to find such a self-contained account to do real work. The catastrophe of good accounts is coming down for them.
They are replying to their multiple accounts with good ID but the moderator is banning the good accounts after seeing the replies of the multiple accounts which is causing loss to the good accounts.
For all intents and purposes, I would say that none of you use multiple accounts. Work with your real ID knowingly and use your real ID. When posting so you won't have a problem with someone else's real ID. This protects your ID and the ID of others.

At first I was thinking the account you are talking about. But through the content of your post, I can decifer that you are talking about forum accounts.
Meanwhile, I don't think people care about your real ID and  maybe fake ID. If you suggest we care much about it, can you Pm Theymos for KYC implementation. I know he will not be interested.

Moderator wouldn't ban a multiples accounts if they're not breaking strict rules (plagiarism/ban evaders), it's allowed to use multiple accounts as long as you not use for bad stuffs.

Seems you're talking about work(signature campaign or bounties) when an alt accounts joined in many campaign, well if they're not using 2 or more accounts to join in same campaign it's allowed. If 2 or more accounts join in same campaign, you can report them and they will got removed.

Merits have done a fine job on making multiple accounts useless, and if someone is boosting alt with their main, they come to light sooner or later.

This will surely be ignored so don't waste anytime. Theymos would not mind budging into kyc implementation, even them aren't doxxed, so doing this here is likely impossible.

Everyone here is surely against KYC and we know that but I remember the last April fool Theymos did about kyc implementation I think they are some who actually fall for that joke.

People are allowed to have multiple accounts, providing they are ethical with them (and rule abiding when applicable). Believe it or not, there are plenty more reasons to having multiple accounts than merely participating in campaigns. The issue is not that of having multiple accounts per se, but rather more of making a bad use of them. @lovesmayfamilis has pointed out a nice user case to understand where the focus should be set …

I know people do all sorts of things on the forum as well in real life, but it’s hard to understand that they can be hypocrites like this. Many people have multiple forum accounts and that is totally allowed as long as you don't participate in same signature campaign, or if you abuse merits like in case of OP.

Merits done it's job to prevent those who create multiple accounts to cheat on bounty campaigns. It is different before where anyone can create an account and can rank up without having to post constructive posts to earn merits. Activity points is what they need to rank up the account before the merit is implemented. There might be some merit abuse but it won't be enough to reach next rank the way it used to do when there was no merits needed.

For all intents and purposes, I would say that none of you use multiple accounts. Work with your real ID knowingly and use your real ID.

Everyone has the right to use multiple accounts and many people do for valid reasons that make sense. For example, if you are out and about using a public network, you might not want to log in to your main account for security reasons. So, it makes sense to have an alt-account that you can use. Even if someone gets hold of it, the damage is not as big as it would be if you lost access to your primary account. There are other examples, but you get the point.

Lols. I have been trying to correctly understand this statement. I have tried to for over 10mins, maybe OP meant to say the opposite. But all I understood is that "The catastrophe (maybe the reputation, or the number of) genuine accounts is diminishing.

The entire community and the whole world are fighting to move away from providing personal data and their personal anonymity in the field of work, not only in the world of cryptocurrency and exactly on the entire Internet. Theymos will never be interested, no one will be interested. No waste of time on what is not. Absolutely out of line with the forum rules about having multiple accounts.

Account farming is becoming impossible with the introduction of the merit system. If OP is about quality posts, his suggestion should be towards this way, not other way.

There are various reasons to use multiple accounts, just don't go breaking rules. I recall some user replying to their own thread like a delusional ones talking to himself with his own account to only boost his post count.
