I am owing two signed Kobe Bryant NBA Rookie Cards while he was on his Adidas Tour in Berlin, Germany from 1997 prior to first ever official NBA Game. I had a chance to meet him in Person and let him signature the cards. Since then, the cards never had been touched again and are still in their transparent box in order to keep them in great conditions. Please feel free to ask any questions or DM me.

Based on your description, it seems they've not been graded, am I right? It would've been better if you could've included some pics [preferably with your "forum name and the date on a piece of paper"] as well...
- You forgot to mention the prices and if you're willing to hire an escrow provider [except me] for selling them!

While you're at it, you might want to move this thread to the "Collectibles" board instead [it might help with the sale].
- Move button is in the bottom left corner of the page.

Ya, this is the sort of thing that could only trade hands once someone knowledgeable has had the chance to not only grade it (that's not always useful) but to verify it's authenticity.  Everyone is familiar with the show Pawn Stars and we've all seen how many signed memorabilia items have turned out to be fake.  Many times to the heartache of the owner.  Without pictures of you getting Kobe to sign the card, nothing short of a professional authenticating the item would allow it to be sold to even the shadiest of pawn shops.  Good luck with your sale!

Infos about grading yes/no and pictures would be great.

That would spike some interest for sure, including me.

As everyone else said without getting these professional authenticated you will have a hard time selling them anywhere.  Trust me bro isn't going to work.

The next thing I would ask is what cards are they signed on??  He has plenty of rookie cards that range wildly in pricing.  Need more info here

And of course as always with any trade here.  No escrow no go.

This is 100% a scam for several reasons but I will make it simple. First off, I am a collector and my Dad is a HUGE collector.

His rookie cards are 1996-1997

There are quite a few. However, all his rookie cards have him wearing the Lakers jersey. So, this man's story cannot be true. You cannot have had his rookie card and had him sign it before he had played. Plus if you really had the card you would say what cared it was. Topps?? Was it the 1996 Topps Chrome Refractor #138 or the 1996 Ultra Platinum Medallion #P52 or maybe the 1996 Flair Showcase Legacy Row 2 #31. No, maybe you had the 1996 Skybox E-X2000 #30 or 1996 SP Holoviews #PC18?

Truth be told your story is dumb. You did not meet him in '97 and he signed a card for you before he was in the NBA. Because On Nov. 3, 1996 Kobe made his NBA debut in a 91-85 Los Angeles Lakers win over the Timberwolves. He played only six minutes and recorded a rebound and a block.

So, rethink your dumb story next time.

PS... SCAMMERS ARE SCUM and therefore YOU ARE SCUM!
