What happened: Plagiarizing content from several sources for their whitepaper

Scammers Profile Link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1135023
Scammers Website: https://paradox.credit/ | archived
Scammers ANN thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5376629.0 | archived
Scammers Whitepaper: https://paradox.credit/whitepaper | archived
Plagiarized Source:

https://blog.accubits.com/decentralized-lending-and-borrowing-with-defi-platforms/
https://www.taringa.net/mickael_mosse/how-does-lending-and-borrowing-work-on-defi-platforms_32jx3y/

Additional notes:
1. I just took two random section of their whitepaper and checked for plagiarism, which both happen to be. Other part of their whitepaper is probably also copied from other sources.

2. If I may be a judgemental asshole, seeing the quality of their site and the lack of team details, I am quite convinced that their project would also exit-scam their investors.

3. If the poster claimed the usual disclaimer that they posted only on the behalf of the team that hires them, I'd like to add this archive of their forum profile that associates themselves with the site.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

Good Job @ holydarkness upon spotting the plagiarism and potential scammers. I'm tagging the profile and also creating a newbie or guest flag to help warn newbies/guests.

I don't think the accused can come up with any plausible reason for plagiarizing another project's whitepaper.

I took a quick look at their website:

to creating algorithmic trading models.

That sounds like a great idea, doesn't it?  Oh, wait ...

These scammers never get tired of using the same technique for their scams, do they ever get victims out of this because it's a scam so old that I am sure that many will eventually notice. Good job catching this scammers and pointing out their mistakes, they help people to know about this kind of stuff and hopefully they will be able to spot it themselves.

Of course they get victims. The fact is that even if the majority of us never fall into these traps, only if a few of us do, it is profitable for them. Look if the following case was profitable. Although it is of a different style, it is a simple scam at the end of the day:

I look back into bulutxx record and found that they had another project back in 2018 which promised BMW as a bounty rrwwrd for their token sale milestones.

IXIRCOIN held a campaign and gave prizes in the form of IXIRCOIN tokens and the latest BMW cars that the details on the website (https://www.ixircoin.com), what kind of campaigns will be held? I just found a campaign that gave prizes for BMW cars. very interesting.

IXIR is giving away BMW's??

Which apparently should be drawn by Turkish lottery. Wondered if any fellow user from Turkey here that could confirm this as I believe such raffle from crypto would at least made into local news, which I didn't think they actually did, as I don't think it can be any more real and legit than this latest project of theirs. This old project's website is expired, their telegram is also abandoned

That's the sad reality, these scammers can always just try and try because they will eventually be able to get a victim but if you are honestly trying, you don't end up as successful. Not to mention that they can make a lot of money even with just a small amount of victims. I am still hoping that I will be able to see a future where no one falls for this scam or that no one does this kind of scam again.

Although scammers uses a lot of different methods to scam people, this method of using a plagiarized white paper is the cheapest one and easy to track.
There are so many free tools available (one of the best free ones is https://1text.com/)  to check for plagiarism and any white paper can be easily caught if plagiarized.

You do realize that this is a common excuse used by almost all project that have been caught with a plagiarized white paper?

If you pay for a service and the "service provider" delivers it to you, don't you even take the liberty to check if the service rendered is good and not just sham?
Otherwise, how do you spend money on something you even don't know if it's good or bad?

hello , it's nice that you share the messages , we got support for the whitepaper , we shared our opinion , they wrote the whitepaper , we paid for it ... we never had any fraudulent intention .

It is the same excuse used by hundreds of scammers before you. How do you think it relieves you of responsibility if you hire someone to write you a whitepaper? It is your project, therefore your responsibility. How does this work anyway? You pitch some complete stranger your idea and then he elaborates all the details for you and writes you a whitepaper? I mean, I can understand hiring someone to translate your work, but hiring someone to write your entire whitepaper seems rather ridiculous.

It's hard to fix something like this, you just got exposed you are not a well-organized company if you really have an established company you know that a whitepaper will be published in public but you did not bother to check if the whitepaper you commissioned comes from a plagiarized whitepaper, maybe you've just hired a cheap writer who cannot come out with a better version because of the budget you gave him.

Despite the desire to echo what other members said about the classic plagiarism excuses, I'll bite. Two things in response of your previous failed project:

1. Were the funds invested by participants returned 100%? Any proof of this?
2. You've failed on your previous ICO due to the lack of demands, but it doesn't seems to teach you how difficult it is to raise investor's interests, because if you've learned anything from it, you'll put all of your effort on the first steps of the launch. So, the question is, which one is it, you didn't learn from your past ICO or you know but you choose to not care?

What does this have to do with the fact that you took someone else's intellectual property and claimed it as your own?
Simply put, plagiarizing someone else's work is stealing. Period. Everything else is irrelevant.
