However, I must admit that I am surprised that there are no more sites that accept Bitcoin (in the 1-2 BTC range) for online/digital purchases. We need more of those.

There is not many things you can buy with $3-6. An app store comes to mind, but not much else.

So, who won the bounty?
Guess it is time to announce a winner.

The goal was something that you can buy for 1 or 2 BTC in total, including shipping costs if any, from anywhere in the world. Obviously this puts a big limitation of physical stuff, and maybe I was not clear about that in the OP.

This basically reduces the list to two proposals:

p4man suggested poker chips at https://sealswithclubs.org/
It works immediately and the only downside is that you have to register (you don't have to supply an email address though), and you have to manually convert the Bitcoin address to a QR code (please go fix that)

Tril suggested btc2diablo at: http://www.btc2diablo.com/
You have to submit a form and wait for them to send you an in-person email. To me this is a no-go, as I want to show how easy and swift Bitcoin purchases are.

The winner is.... p4man, *the crowd cheers*
Please send me your Bitcoin address.

However, I must admit that I am surprised that there are no more sites that accept Bitcoin (in the 1-2 BTC range) for online/digital purchases. We need more of those.

Heh, so Seals is officially the best thing to do with bitcoin?

Re: QR code. You mean people want to scan their computer screen because all their coins are on their phone? I guess that could be done fairly easily.

For one BTC today you can buy a lot less than when I jumped out at $18k due to knife at throat banking fees hitting $55 per transaction and judging by the trend one BTC will but you a lot more today than it will in a months time.

Sorry the last so called, dreamed up resistance level has been broken, get out whist you can unless you just like dreaming

Currently one BTC is priced at about $ 3400. With that money you can buy a lot of things, such as buying a 15-inch Macbook Pro that still surpasses $ 1000. Or you can buy nearly 3 ounces of gold or more than 100 barrels of premium Hass.

An amusing contest was organized by a guy. Now for 1 BTC you can buy much more than in 2011 and there are more places in which you will receive your Bitcoin as payment. This article lists some organizations that accept Bitcoin:

there have been news that supercars can be bought for bitcoin. I think this perfectly demonstrates the fact that large businessmen are interested in bitcoin

For 1BTC? You can certainly buy a lot with that amount of BTC, if you want to buy some cool watches, luxurious watches, and many more, and with the amount of 1 BTC, I think there are lots of fine watches there.
