I know that a lot of people do feel that once there is a public figure or someone that is well known involved in something like this, then the price will start moving to the moon, but sometimes it doesn’t really work that way. And even till now the price of dogecoin is really not showing signs that it’s getting anywhere close to that $1 price.

I think the only way Doge can reach 1usd is for BTC to reach $100k or more, or maybe Doge can get some additional help with Elon Musk, otherwise I think it will continue to behave stable or possibly drop in price even more if the BTC market goes down. Doge is a meme coin and the chance of this asset to bounce and create another hype is depending on how big whales like Elon Musk

1.5 months of 2022 has passed and so far dogecoin is not even a half way to $1. Sometimes I even feel that not only this year dogecoin and whole cryptocurrency will update ATH, but wont be even close to it.

What was the reason why dogecoin made such price growth last year? Only tweets by Elon Musk? If he was the only reason for growth, then we will never see dogecoin cost $1. First of all Elon looks like no longer interested in dogecoin, and is more focused on SpaceX. Second, even when he tweets, that does not affect dogecoin price greatly. Somewhere inside, I feel like we will never see dogecoin cost 73 cents anymore.

I do believe that we will see new ATH this year in the crypto markets, including dodge coin. Once the world is normalising again, crypto prices should start rising again. Most of the investors wouldn't sell their coins at current prices, eventually the downward pressure will stop once all the sellers left the market. Then prices have to rise again.
As for Doge Coin, the question shouldn't be if it's possible to reach $1, but rather if price could stay above $1. Unfortunately I don't think it's possible at the moment. Many investors, myself included, look at the $1 barrier as a chance to make some profit. For many years I have been holding some doge coin, but once we hit the $1 I would sell mine. I expected many investors to think similar, so as we hit that level there should be a large number of sellers who will bring the price down again. The buy orders above $1 will probably be very limited.
