Yep, when the market is bearish, your dollars are able to get you more Bitcoin, and it’s an opportunity that you should always try to seize. After a bull run and the price of bitcoin hitting a new ATH price, I would usually sell my coins and take profit and wait for the correction to take or for the market to become bearish and then I would start planning how to start buying more Bitcoins and HODL for another long term till there is an increase in the market again.

It's easy to say buy at dip and sell at bull but when we are in the actual situation, we will be tested on how we will handle our emotions because sometimes we are weak to aim for more when we see a good price and to easily panic when we see the price is dumping. Good question, I try to answer I'll hodl unless if urgency and need money then I'll sell it. Long term investment should not be affected if the price goes crash 1-2 year, sometimes they have a target between 5 to 10 years and they have a strong mentality and the money they put in is money they can afford to lose.

That's me as well. I have been hodling for years and I held a lot longer than that before as well, I just keep holding until some emergency happens. Unfortunately since we are not ultra rich people, whenever an emergency happens we cash out our investments and that ends with something like zero in our accounts again. I just recently had that, not all of my money but like 60% of my money is gone because I had debt and I was paying it small by small and I just realized I could simply pay the debt when it was higher (sold at around 45k so I am fine) and then I could end up putting more money in thanks to my debt being gone.

Not that I wasn't capable of paying my debt in any other way, it wasn't emergency but I saw it as a great idea to get rid of interest rate and put more money back in each month. Sometimes you just have to cash out for some reason. Otherwise I just keep it going as long as possible.

What about your previous dollars that you have invested already? They are now in a loss. I think this kind of thinking limits the investors to buy at the dip but for the people that have sold successfully at highs, they do not have this problem. People get mad about bear markets but what it was stated by the one starting this thread is correct, during bull markets the value in terms of fiat of your bitcoin goes up, but during the bear market that is when we should try to get as much bitcoin as possible as its price is very cheap compared to what you could see during the bull run, however most people do the opposite, they buy during the bull run and they sell during the bear market, so when we understand this it is not surprising at all to know that most people lose in the markets since their strategy is completely flawed.

For us to make money then we do really need those low prices or value which do came from huge corrections or crashes because a market couldnt be called one if it would be only having one path to take

I think that sensation of buying during the tops will never change. It's not just the newbies that will get into that mistake but also those that have been here for a long time. It seems that there's a feeling of relieve of buying at the peak rather than buying and stocking up when the market is still bearish.
