Sorry, I still find it hard to believe OP's story. It's kind of an empty narrative to me and reeks of pity party all over it. I've gone through that post and no substance to show that OP was scammed of their money apart from the fact that they claimed to have sent someone cash. Just like that? Really? $50k isn't a paltry sum for anyone to part with, not even in the US. Except OP meant 50,000 in a different currency that isn't the US dollar. Even at that, the scam narrative is still questionable. That's my observation.

There are many modes of sca in the crypto world and as crypto lovers we must be responsible with it carefully. Mpamaegbu I have to agree with you here. $50,000 is not a small amount OP must be filthy rich or madly in love to trust this woman with that kind of money. I too find it difficult to believe this story not because it is impossible but the way the story is narrated doesn't feel personal. The story portrayed is too vague. It could be a ruse to gain sentiment and merits.

We can’t know if OP is honest or made up a story for some reason, but if you noticed my post you could see that such things really happen and that some people live for years in the belief that they are in a relationship with someone even though they have never seen that person. I think it's a very common type of scam, so-called beautiful girls (who can also be men) operate on social networks and look for lonely men who are then drawn into some kind of emotional relationship, and then offer them business opportunities.

The world is full of lonely people, who obviously have enough money to afford such adventures - these are expensive life lessons, but a good warning to others not to fall into the same trap.

Lol those "women" claiming to be a crypto broker in Facebook with a Married civil status are obviously just a scam and in fact those who vouches for those are just managed by one person obviously. I can't provide a screenshot since I did a mass report in Facebook and seemingly they are now slowly purging those fake accounts.
Who would even risk 50k to a random person in the internet anyway?
Unless I met someone and got know of them for almost a year, I wouldn't trust a single penny to them.

Yea, often I have been receiving DM on Telegram from wonderful women about cryptocurrency investment. They do not talk directly to invest. Their aim is first to introduce herself then slowly move to a relationship. Then she will ask if you are familiar with cryptocurrency. To be honest they targeted you from cryptocurrency communities like Telegram or any other similar platform. Eventually, a few greedy and emotional people fall into the trap. For me, once they ask whether I am familiar with cryptocurrency or not then I just block them. Because I am not gonna invest anyway, so don't want to waste my time there.


Anyway, thanks for sharing it with us. Other emotional users would take a lesson from here especially those who are weak for women.

Should you entertain them and you're going to be emotionally attached to them. They're likely manipulating your feelings and that's why whatever they say is likely you're going to obey.

But with that amount, I have a doubt that you'll send that entire amount without meeting the person.

From the word she claim to be that means you don't fully know this person so I would guess it's an online dating. If so funny how uptill now you still see it as a relationship. It was all the plan, it could have virtually been a man on the other end. You should rather say don't send your funds on something you not sure scammers have different mode of operating just to get you to pay. Becarefull of online dating or even offline, you should know more about who ever you dating don't send anyone your crypto till you sure.

Speaking of emotional attachment, I recall from what I had watched from some documentaries in Youtube about those scammers trying to manipulate elders. From my experience talking to some elders back when I was working in a call center, most of them were really kind hearted to the conversation. Now that I heard that there were some call centers operating a scam, it's sad that they're taking advantage of these elderlies.
On the brighter side, there are scam baiters that are trying to destroy these scammers though.

Social media is the best tool for scammers to Scam people, especially in telegram, and we all know that nowadays there are many scammers everywhere so we need to be careful. I've been experienced someone chatting me through telegram and then asking for help or they said that they are needing a business minded person invest in their company. But you should be smart and control your self do not trust easily to any person you meet from social media cause you don't know yet their personality or private information.

Is this the usual online scam that you don't get to meet the person or it was just a physical kind of relationship? I am surprised what you were expecting when you lent $50k to a woman who you are emotional attracted to and she knew this and then you expected her to return it? If it was your wife in the first place, I wouldn't say it's bad move as whatever she invested in will likely come back within you guys but an ordinary relationship shows you are not smart with women.
It is possible that she didn't invest the money, she May have returned the half of what you lent her and manipulate you to give away the remaining one.

Another one of those preety romance scam where lovers are the victims of these bitcoin or say fiat related scams.This is sad that you have been one of the victim but how can you trust someone who continuously aks you for money whom you have met online through some media platform?

If assumptions are made then you are also victim of one of those scams or so called honey trap in which any gender lures you into love trap and makes you believe in themselves but this is attempt to take out some personal information from you or the best part money for mostly.There is no gender as mentioned above in online world and this is highly risky market but if you are so careless to devote such huge amounts to the person you have not met personally and without any investigation then it's your fault.

You are not the only one who has been targeted but we need to understand that whom we have not met personally there is always a chance of suspicion but if they demand money from you then always be alert and try to investigate and be safe as much you can.Blaming later on won't help you and funds are lost without any recovery chance.You don't know who he/she is and this is online scams going on targeting the soft and lonely people.

Did you even meet the person? Because if you just meet him online then this is expected because no solely trader would ask money to random person if they are really good on this and they make it as full time career.

But if you meet this person in real life maybe you just blinded on your feelings and didn't even check if he is for real and didn't want to put you at huge risk. This is lesson to learn for although this is classic scam attempt but new people in crypto should be aware about your experiences.

I feel surprised how some persons give big trust to do business with people online that they haven't met before. How sure are you this person is a lady or a man in the real life ? That you believe because he was a lady or something special to you or the worse she promise huge returns that you can't decline the proposal. I beat you but yeah, we got sometimes fooled by money, even someone (not close to you) will talk like that, it certainly leads to say "YES I invest". I can't blame how you can't decline this as of course she was your lady and you trusted her but you got fooled by her look and put you in losing huge money.

They've really gone that far.

That, they have to make a CC for them to operate their scam. This is really happening and saddening but that's how they live their life with it, through a scam.

IIRC, there's a video that I've watched that someone has caught them and that channel was dealing with those scammers and he's tracking them. The channel on YT was Jim Browning.
