you should look at the most important things when it comes choosing a crypto project that will last for 5 years, such the market cap and those projects that has useful network on the space because IMO surely they will not die for how many years as long as there's a lot of people using it for making transactions..

for example Bnb,Eth, polygon and probably xrp since it has very low fees until now.

Invest in the established projects in the market and i think ethereum and BNB will be top on it. As long as the demands is always there due to the project's real use cases in the community, these two coins will definitely keep on soaring high. Diversification is good too because it can help you gain a lot of profits once they all become profitable, but be careful investing in new projects as they bring more risks and increase our chances of losing once we fall into wrong projects.

Well I don't know where is your logic here but it seems you already mentioned it above, you know bitcoin will surpass all altcoin and why not allocate all your fund to bitcoin to have assurance on having profit. But well, to answer your question, of course, go for the coin that is at the top of coinmarket cap, they are reliable to invest in like LTC, BNB, and ETH.
However, just only invest that you can afford to lose because investing in crypto once it was done purchasing it will not be undone.

diversification was important strategy that must do for all crypto investors in order to avoid huge loss in same time when only have one assets. by divide our asset into 5 or more portofolio it could distribute risk and profit. maybe asset A could loss but another asset could generate profit.

I think every coin will always have risk and we have to see risk as part of investment,
at least if investing in top altcoins it is much safer than investing in shitcoins which are not worth for long term investment,
as much as possible to minimize the risk and everyone has their own way

As long as you stick to the top 10 coins in CMC or so then you should be fine in my opinion,just try not to venture too much into the pump and dump coins that promise high returns (because you will end up holding alot of bags).

If you're looking for a coins that are good for long term investment then you have to DYOR in order to have your own understanding for the coins that you might like to invest in.

Check if it is sustainable, has a use case that can solve real problem so it can survive even the market is in bearish. In my portfolio, I have these popular alts (ETH, BNB, LTC) to hold for long period. But im not recommending you to do the same because its best to have your own analysis on why it can be worth it to buy and hold.

As long as you stick to the top 10 coins in CMC or so then you should be fine in my opinion,just try not to venture too much into the pump and dump coins that promise high returns (because you will end up holding alot of bags).

Very good advice, indeed the top 10 altcoins are the right choice of coins for investments other than Bitcoin. Actually, it doesn't matter if we want
to try investing in pump and dump coins, but don't invest too much, because the risk is very high. Stay focused on investing in the top 10 altcoins,
because based on my 5 years of experience investing in crypto, only coins that are in the top 10 are safe for investment, because every time
the market goes down, popular coins that are in the top 10 often recover quickly. So it is very safe to invest in the top 10 altcoins, in contrast to

agree, that altcoins can still happen that we don't know about in the future, especially in a long time because there will always be changes to altcoins and what is really reliable at this time is of course ethereum and I also agree if you want to target BNB that it has been tested and continues to grow well.

The choice of coin options is quite good, brother, considering the transaction volume on the coin marketcap is quite dense and the volume is large, I personally like to see price movements and have little even for gas costs, such as Bnb, trx, usdt, xlm, these are my favorite coins to just save For the long term I still keep bitcoin, I'm sure it won't make me too down with any issues.
For meme coin assets such as Shiba Inu and assets such as Winlink and Hot I have released them because the price lost more than 30% of the price as when I first bought it. even more.

Well, the most important thing i can think of is the use case meaning do people actually use the token for its utility, or is that just hype. The more utility the token has, the more likely it's going to last for years because people get used to things, and it's hard to change people when they're used to this one coin. I'm looking at the top gaming studio tokens and a few low market cap ones like: $ENGN for their ability to implement blockchain onto projects without having to rewrite the whole base code plus their own marketplace, new video game around the corner, and lots of more stuff. $LFI is also one that redefines what gambling projects are. Instead of having to let the house always have the edge, you can bet on the house with $LFI, which gives out annual rewards, plus every time the house gets a cut, you get a cut. I can see these two stay for at least years to come.

When that person knows about bitcoin, he will choose bitcoin for long-term investment and will not waiver even though the bitcoin price keeps going up and down and can cause panic because he knows that's how bitcoin will move.

The OP just said it that he knows many things about btc and he didn't questioned it anymore so by there we can assume that he already have his btc investments. He is looking to diversify his funds which is why he seeks for altcoins or tokens suggestions.

We cannot be sure about the top 10 coins because he aims for a 5 to 6 year long of holding and with that time, there can be a change on how the top 10 coins look where some of these coins are going to be replaced by a new comer. It's not bad to look for coins outside top 10 because they can also have a potential that are not seen inside the top 10 coin list run but it will take some time for them to get mature.
