I do believe that it is essential for the school curriculum to reflect and adjust it accordingly to how the world evolves. The favourable option is to let the teacher take the decision as to what/how should they teach to their students. But in search of "cryptocurrency enlightenment advancement", I don't think that is a probable option. Some concerns are the educational bias, governments pressure, and how does the teacher comprehend the subject. That doesn't come easy, and each school/government should decide it on a case by case basis.

School? I'd say not. Maybe introduce it as another "method of transaction" in an Economics class, and students that are intrigued by coming across that name might want to look it up on their own if they want.
Agreed, if we take a look at Khanacademy, the Bitcoin subject is indeed categorized to Economy division: Finance and capital markets > Unit: Money, banking and central banks > Bitcoin. Making cryptocurrency as an essential subject for the students wouldn't make any sense.

having Crypto syllabus in schools should be a welcome idea. The idea for young children shouldn't be centered around profitability but rather the technology and diversity of the cryptographic era. The can improve on the use of cryptography and even suggest better approach since their brains are way sharper and smarter

This type of thread has appeared here before, but i could not recall the board in particular we render or rise different suggestions concerning cryptocurrency education and adoption in universities. So the only factor i notices that made cryptocurrency not be included in educational curriculum, is because government have not officially endorse cryptocurrency, even some countries who has legalize cryptocurrency have not embrace it's educational function, but i know in due course cryptocurrency will be a discipline in educational field.
Education should always comply with what the government says. Otherwise, the school will be subject for investigation. However, teaching cryptocurrency and include it into the school curriculum will always be a good idea as it can help the learners to know and understand what is crypto and its functions and benefits to the financial industry. But knowing the government has not legalized and accepted it, then the school should always respect the government and will not start teaching cryptocurrency unless the government has approved it.

What are your thoughts about this, please flood your thoughts let rob minds together.

I will agree if Blockchain is a curriculum in school, but not disagree with Cryptocurrency. both have different meanings for each other.
cryptocurrency is definitely blockchain, but the blockchain isn't cryptocurrency only, a lot of techs can be developed by blockchain such as the Internet, Techno future, Social media, Economy, Election and etc. If the student learning Cryptocurrency, they aren't getting blockchain in general. But if the students learn Blockchain, they get cryptocurrency and future technology.

but must be adapted to their abilities, I think the student has to learn the blockchain knowledge for basics only.

The concept of introducing Blockchain as a subject in school would be very helpful as it would give insights and uses of applications and tools of this new technology which has disrupted most of the industries (finance, health, real estate, gaming) so far and is on the way to do more. Educating the students about the various different aspects of this technology will help them in becoming better architects of the future.

It is not bad if cryptocurrency is in school curriculum,  cryptocurrency is getting more popular every day and some countries are adopting it as a new currency. It will be be best for cryptocurrency to be part of economics as a subject for students to understand it very well just the way they understand their traditional fiat, expecially in countries that cryptocurrency are legal. Their are good reasons why countries are adopting cryptocurrency,  so it will be best for cryptocurrency to be added to school curriculum to make it easy for students to understand how cryptocurrency is affecting the countries economy and it importance.

Personally adding a cryptocurrency subject in school will be tough for many students due to hard to learn
In reality, nothing is that hard to do if one sets one's mind to do it. Like it's taught in basic philosophy that the human mind is a tabula rasa. It's a plain sheet until life begins to write on it. Maths and Further Maths were assumed to be among the toughest subjects in high school a few years ago. Even at that, there were students who found them very easy. Such is life. At present, there are stories of teenagers solving mathematical questions that adults who are science inclined aren't able to solve. To that point, I think it's not enough to to say something is hard when it hasn't been tested. There should be grounds for this. Even if it's difficult, there are going to be some who will find it amusing and interesting. Teaching or learning cryptocurrencies wouldn't be any difficult that learning nuclear physics or thermodynamics and others.

I don't see it becoming a popular school subject. It's not like we are taught finance properly, let alone what Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are. You finish high school not understanding the concept of money due to the unnecessary theoretical knowledge they filled your head with. Things you will forget and don't benefit your life. Who was taught how money is created and why we have inflation? Why are we paying taxes when the government can print whatever trillions they need for a war or as a counter measure against COVID, but that homeless guy who sleeps on the streets needs to stay there because the government can't feed him or house him due to a shortage of funding?

Wouldn't it be a wonderful move, should there be a rising group of advocates or promoters to push forward for the inclusion of cryptocurrency education in the education curriculum of countries as this might likely  bring about the followings:

(1) Widespread knowledge about the crypto world and it's functionalities. Thereby, quelling the fears of many who ignorantly think the system is ain't working profitably.

(2) create or add to the multiple choices to fresh graduates to pick from due to the dilemma faced by fresh graduates in picking a side hustle while waiting for a job through their certificate.

(3) increase in the number of cryptoprenuers  in and reduce the to an extent the burden of job creations on the part of the government. Etc.

To the house, what do you think? Does this idea makes sense for cryptocurrency enlightenment advancement?
What are your thoughts about this, please flood your thoughts let rob minds together.

It is not just good, it's essential. But I wouldn't just limit it to crypto education, I would say monetary and economic education should be mandatory from the earliest possible education (day one in schools) as it once was in some parts of the world. We are missing out a lot in not implementing those principles in an early stage of one's education. In a global society so heavily engulfed in capital, we sure are neglecting to educate individuals on it.

It will do well if digital cryptocurrency can be included in the finance subject taught in highschool only and not to children underaged because dey may not really know or understand it.

You finish high school not understanding the concept of money due to the unnecessary theoretical knowledge they filled your head with. Things you will forget and don't benefit your life.

The school only focus on the theoretical aspect of education but left behind the practical aspect which is the reality one face in real life, that's why you see a first class student but lack how to manage business and the technicality in commerce, many founders and  business entrepreneurs doing well only have the practical knowledge in doing business without having even an ordinary school qualification.

Even if it's difficult, there are going to be some who will find it amusing and interesting. Teaching or learning cryptocurrencies wouldn't be any difficult that learning nuclear physics or thermodynamics and others.

Still, I think to know the ins-and-outs of crypto, one really needs to get an understanding of signatures, hashes and hashing, and cryptography in general. How hash functions work and how its applied in the world of security is pretty crucial to crypto I'd say. Forcing learning about another subject - something that students aren't interested in much would just increase a lot of pressure on them and they'd just end up ignoring bitcoin - saying that its a redundant thing because we already have a method of transacting money.

Also, just in my opinion, many might disagree with me, but I feel like a great many among high school teachers don't know what bitcoin is/ dont know the workings of it. I doubt they're really the best people to introduce students to topics that are as technical as bitcoin, seeing as the biggest complain with schools is that they dont "teach us how to do taxes" - thats really the cliché, but you see where I'm going with this - schools arent the best at teaching topics that relate to real world finance.

College/university professors on the other hand are much more inclined towards recent developments (atleast in my personal experience till now), and specially in fields like CS where they are already aware about hashing, modular arithmetic, number theory - some stuff which is really the foundations of bitcoin, they'd be much better equipped to teach the future generation about bitcoin. Sadly, most college courses don't really have an elective that focuses on the blockchain or cryptocurrency as a whole, but I'm hoping that can be changed in the future.

No matter how tough cryptocurrency maybe it will still be a favourite subject to some students and cryptocurrency will not be a compulsory subject/course but  an elective one.

Instead of adding it as a compulsory subject, I think it would be better if it were added as an elective- where students will have the opportunity to take extra lessons from it or not. Thus, it should be integrated or somehow connected to an economics degree (or even as a general elective for all).

In the event that this cannot be followed, I personally think that it would be best if there would be various forums held by college universities be held regularly per semester. In this way, students would at least have a background/foundation about the roots of cryptocurrencies as this is something that is considered complex in nature.

Obviulsy a good move though but who will initiate it and who will work behind to implement in every country. Yes the countries who allowed bitcoin transactions and legally accepted it, can move forward forming a group of crypto experts preparing stuffs on what has to be taught on crypto. In each country, we should have teams of crypto experts appointed by governments. Let them take responsibility in crypto's growth in the respective country and let them educate young ones on crypto.

Introducing cryptocurrency in school would not be a bad idea since we are In the digital era. Having them(students) taught about the basics of crypto from the early stage will help a lot in modifying their brains about blockchain.
If many people are paying hundreds of dollars just to learn about the basics of crypto, why can't we introduce it in our schools just to help the young ones to get the knowledge of crypto fast
It can, but may not be for elementary school, junior high school and high school levels. I think college is the right time to get to know crypto education. Of course, it can be adjusted to the level of development in a country. Those with the state have legalized Crypto of course it could start early at the high school level. But for elementary and junior high school children certainly do not need to be expressly. Maybe in the input in the material about the crypto basis to start will be better to continue at a higher school level.

It will depend on each country whether it is ready or not.
And what grade of school is that?
But in my personal opinion, this may not be urgent enough to be implemented elementary-intermediate curriculum.
I mean, this may work well to be implemented in certain education curriculum that has relation to the economy, financial, or other technology systems. But if that is in the common school, I think it is not urgent enough to put it in the curriculum. But, it is possible to be only one pr more subjects of materials, with the content based on the grades of the edcuation itself.

As I would think of it, adding cryptocurrency into the school curriculum will be of more advantage than disadvantage. But the political ideology and belief of the crypto market of the leaders ruling such nation has to come into play here. If only they can understand the prompt solutions cryptocurrency has solved over the years since its inception. And not people coming into resolution without appropriate discoveries and evidence to back up misleading cases about it. It will be bravo if cryptocurrency is been added into school curriculum.

Cryptocurrencies are pretty much going to be part of our future monetary system and the only way to lift this burden on the upcoming generations is to introduce this in our education system and I support this move. But because cryptocurrencies are not legal tender in some countries I think they will face some resistance to make this possible.

That would definitely be interesting, and it will prepare the future generations about cryptocurrencies. But currently, I don’t think there is any such program. I think this requires a simple way to understand, because it is difficult for students to grasp.
