Which sports are you placing bets on?

I think this topic could be more interesting if you make a poll and list down all or most of the sports and we'll see their which sports have the most votes. For me I place bets on football, Esports and Basketball only since I am only familiar with those sports and I only place bet in live games since I want to take a look at their actual strategy at that time and their players to see if they are going to win or lose.

I prefer placing bets on tennis matches, because it is the one in which I find the chances of lowering my loss on live betting. Myself used to go with the winning odds on popular matches. When the match is being played by unpopular players I used to go with the highest odds and place bets on the opponent when odds change during the live status of the match. This lets me lower the loss and such kind of betting isn't possible with most of the other sports.

Well, that depends on person whether he likes sports more than betting or he likes betting more than the sports.
However, when you place a bet on a specific sport, It is too stupid to just bet without even a single idea about. I mean that doesn't make any sense lol, he could've gone to a casino and place a bet where theres a dice roll. That way profit and losses are quickly achieved.

The sports bet that I like the most and I often bet on is football, in making soccer bets I often place: European League, English League, French League, German League, and Spanish League, sometimes if I see the opposing team playing in the national league I also bet on it, such as: India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Russia, and Turkey.

A similar algorithm can be used in basketball matches. Strong teams often spend the first quarters without much straining, but in the third and fourth they decide the outcome of the match. Therefore, the underdog odds show good volatility and allow those involved in arbitrage to take advantage of this.

I usually bet on football matches. Because I think it's a predictable sport category. In individual sports, it is very important for the athlete to be on his day. If the athlete is not on his day, he may lose the match he is favorite. But in team games, everyone can make up for each other's mistakes. Team play matches have fewer surprises.

This sounds like a case of problem gambling, where a gambler can no longer control themselves. What would you know to play when you have no idea about a sport, why gamble on a game you know nothing about, very illogical, similar to investing heavily in a coin you in know nothing about. Such an undergo should undergo evaluation.

Soccer is the most dominant sport in my locale, i possess a certain amount of knowledge about the game contributed mainly by environmental factors and even physically played soccer at some point, it is what i mostly place my bets on.

I love boxing and the UFC as well, once in while...when there is a major fight, i usually bet there as well.

Mostly on football, usually stronger European leagues and tournaments, world championships, etc.! Sometimes basketball or tennis, but only when I watch some games with friends, which doesn't happen often lately cause of the busy and fast life! I have been following LoL recently, I am watching EBL events, LEC as well, one TV channel is dedicated to e-sports, so I can follow what is happening!
It's best when someone bets on a sport that they know and follow! That's how the chances of good hits are high!

my favorite sport that I often bet on is football, I don't really understand other sports because I don't like it. betting on sports that I really like, the chances of winning are very big than betting on sports that I don't like at all. currently, there are many international football events being held, what a great opportunity to make money.

football is where i placed mot of by bet to, some times in basketball, there are some leagues that i do bank on because they seems kinda sure in winning rate, leagues like the netherland and belgium league, the rate at which over 2.5 and 3.5 goals do occur is really impressive, likewise the italian league, i do play over 4.5 yellow card and its been awesome with some specific teams

There are a lot of people doing that. I know some of them personally & hence the thread goes live here LOL. They have been placing bets on cricket for quite a long time but no knowledge on cricket though they didn’t tell me whether they have tipster or not but I'm sure as hell that they have because they have a good win ratio.
Therefore, it's very possible that people without having any knowledge on particular sports are placing bets on that sports.

Yep I use to bet on games I don't have much interest on but am sure before you place bet of such games like crickets and horse ride one need not much analysis just take the risk and move on.

I gamble on sports focus only football, but even then rarely. Actually, almost all sports I have bet on, it's just that it's an old story that I probably won't touch again. Because I used to be a gambler who would try anything, even though I didn't understand.

I like placing bets on football at the moment, there is quite a lot of potential to grind out a profit if you do a little research before hand. It's possible to find teams that are on a winning streak, which might not be properly factored into the odds on offer. Going with under/over bets can also be profitable if you start reading the last few games of each team, there has been a surprising amount of low scoring games in different leagues lately. If you're looking at a team who's sat bottom of the table with five losses, versus a team middle of the table with a few recent wins, it's usually a pretty good bet to take. There can also be substantial movement on odds from 24 hours before the game to just before starting so there is room for a bit of arbitrage if you pick carefully.

Am not really that fan on placing bets on sports which i didnt know but i wont deny that i had tried it in the past, Well, it do make profits but didnt last that much specially on a sport

I just bet on basketball.

I personally don't think that it makes a whole lot of sense to bet on sports that you aren't even interested in/know the rules of.

That way, you have no chance of having an edge over the rest of the market. And you can't even have fun because half the time you don't have a clue of what's happening. Trust me, I've tried the same before.

There are two factors to consider why a gambler gambles and/or place bets in sports.

1. Expertise (or a sport they often play) - They are passionate about that sport and loves to just gamble teams in a field of sport they knew more about - those that already knows a certain sport often tend to have more winrate as they have both motivation and knowledge on each and every aspect of the game and its players, even the momentum and current news with the team's actions. Most of gamblers that lies in this factors are those that bets only on a certain game or even a certain game in eSports (as eSports doesn't really need to be knowledgeable with the all the players and teams worldwide, just events and tournaments would suffice and be a reference to a better gambling decision)

2. Money - these are those people whom you know that bets regardless of what sports either knowingly or unknowingly. They often relies on bets and just the current news, or even their gut feeling, for their bets - as they only preferred enjoying how their gambling

Basically, its not a matter of what sports. It's the matter of what gambler are you in sports gambling.
