I agree with most users here Kambosos isn't doing that for a purpose, but more like an excuse. I wouldn't expect Kambosos will gently admitting his mistake and explain it as good boy since his images on boxing career are an arrogant and trash talking person, but he's not underestimating his opponent or taking easy about it. Haney wouldn't get intimidated with that, it's a normal thing in boxing.

Kambosos shouldn't over confident enough since he already own 4 belts, he need to put in his mind if he was still a challenger so he can more focus to beat Haney.

I read that one of his idols and the one he looks up to is Manny Pacquiao but unfortunately, he did not emulate or imitate his character as a humble person, he is quite arrogant a long shot from Manny Pacquiao's character he should show respect and welcome Haney since Haney agreed to fight in his turf given that officiating there is bad, anyway good luck to the winner, Kambosos is an underdog but I doubt it will show up in the fight, the fight for me will turn out even and who got the best plan and training will get the win.

He has spared with Manny in the past, that's why he looks up to him and I guess that's one advantage of Kambosos against the current breed of 135 lbs because he got to trained with the legendary. Maybe he got his work ethics and that's what George bring into the discussion with Haney or even in the Kambosos fight.

I love though how George twist that not making the weight and says that it's just a psyche war and trying to get into Haney's head.

Haney is ready for that, both are champions and they are both ready physically and mentally. George has to be confident because he is fighting in front of his fans, he is representing his country, and if he wins, that brings glory to the country.

IMO, for this fight to not last a trilogy, Kambasos has to beat Haney by KO, a defeat that Haney will never forget.

Well, we do hope that he can really back up his antics and trash talking here. So it's either his actions tonight will make him great or idiot if he losses and then blame that he is weight drain.

So now he will have an excuse because he didn't make the weight the first try. Haney said that he is dry, while he looks he has made the weight comfortability without draining itself. Of course if he can back all the talks then a knock out win will be just the final nail in the coffin for Haney.

Kambosos is the underdog but here in Bitcointalk it's even right now, Haney is my bet to win here but the fight could still go either way, Haney cannot be complacent he is fighting in hostile territory, he must not make the fight close if the fight is close although he dominates it, there's a possibility of a draw if the fight is close and could go either way, Kambosos can take the fight to satisfy the Australian people, and there could be a rematch, of course, promoters will be happy to see a rematch.

I wouldn't change my mind on betting for Haney. Kambosos' arrogance is ruining his character in this field. However, he's indeed promising in his previous fights but I believe that he couldn't beat Haney by knocking out or even by unanimous decision. Haney seems too ready for this fight and I guess he will prove that everything Kambosos said is wrong.

I assume that Devin will just be an instrument to give some challenges to the champion and push him into his limits, in that way, Kambosos will be explode just like what he did to Lopez in the first round.
I don't think it's like that, I will not look at the Odds at this time but I will look to the other side, even though Kambosos is now highly motivated but don't forget Haney is also risking his WBC belt and of course this will be a fight because it is both This boxer has something at stake.
But Haney's record of 27 wins with 15 KOs is certainly not something that can be considered an Instrument now.

I don't think that Kambosos can get Haney the way he knock down Lopez in round 1. Lopez is careless in that fight and thinks he can just bulldozed his way. Haney is a thinking fighter and a technical one, yes, he has questionable chin and that's what makes him a defensive fighter because he can't just brawl as he can easily get knock out. Maybe his strategy is to frustrate Kambosos in this fight, maybe a few hugs here and there in the first couple of rounds to test George patience.
Actually in this case I still want to be in Kambosos but if you see him who talks a lot right now like he shows fear and always does other ways to shake Haney mentally in Psywar which he does and this makes me not too sure about this fight.
From a technical point of view, these two boxers are not far apart and can still be said to be equal but on the other hand I still feel that Haney will still be better

Yes, they are both ready to have their much-awaited fight. Although, Kambosos have some minor problems in the meantime because he didn't make it to the needed weight but as far as I know, he was given 2 hours right? I wonder what's the update about that because by now there's already a news about whether he did make it or did not.

The fight won't also reach for a rematch if one of them will win by a KO or TKO. However, if it's a close decision then there would be a possible rematch. About the trilogy, that's too early to tell because this is their 1st fight.

This. Even if he won against Teo, it will be hard to keep your position on top as everyone is going to chase you. And that's what is happening here, Haney is willing to travel and face him on the road. So he shouldn't be complacent because Haney is a good fighter. On the contrary, if he see the odds, he is the underdog here. That alone says that he need to be 100% in this fight, mind and body. And that antics he pulled in the weigh-in is not cool in the eyes of boxing fans. His father though has arrived and be in his corner tonight.

It's over now guys, Haney won comfortably, scores were: 116-112, 116-112 and 118-110.

The key? Haney's jab, Kambosos can't get inside because Haney is throwing that jab and makes it a technical fight and unfortunately, George can't adjust and during the championships round, you can see his frustrations as he tries to rough off Devin. Easy W.

I would say it's a boring fight, as some of us is expecting. Haney's style, but that's sweet science. Not sure if a rematch is needed here, it might be the same outcome. Congrats to those who bet on Haney to win by decision, not sure what the odds are, as I go with Kambosos here and thinks that he has a chance to win in his home court.

Travelled to fight Kambosos in his own country, then without his father in the beginning, fight in a ring wherein 50,000 fans wanted his to lose.

Haney becoming the undisputed lightweight champion at 23 years old!!!

Haney seems like already understand the next move that will do by Kambosos, while Kambosos didn't find a right way to outbox Haney. This what Haney want in the ring, a stance style, Kambosos can't fight toe to toe and he's worried of Haney's surprise punch. Too bad for Kambosos to act very confident yesterday, now he need to start to get his belts back. if there's a rematch, Kambosos will be huge underdog for sure.

It's time for Haney, Davis, Shakur and Loma to start facing each other.
Shakur stevenson is still on super featherweight division and not yet become undisputed, Haney vs Davis will be most interesting match, but I'd say Davis will scared to risk his belt.

I'm expecting a boring fight because both are more of a counter-puncher but the good thing with Haney is he much quicker than Kambosos and never tired of firing that jab to keep Kambosos at bay. This is boxing, you hit and don't get hit lol, sometimes people wouldn't understand that so this may put Haney's reign as the unified champion short-lived because people are craving for him to face Loma who is more technical than him and for me the top-dog on this division.

He is a better version of Rigondeaux, Haney has done his assignment he showed us the sweet science of boxing, hit and not get hit although he is the undisputed lightweight champion I cannot consider him an all-time great, he has mastered the art of ducking holding and staying within range I don't see the power in his hands, like all the other boxers in his division.

anyway a win is still a win he will now be the most sought boxer and the likes of Garcia, Davis, and Shakur will target him, I like him to face Loma so we can see who is the better tactician in the ring.

Pretty much disappointed on the performance of Kambosos here. He was really schooled by Haney's super jab and defense as he was not hit clean in this fight. You can see his face still clean after 12 rounds while George face is somewhat battered by that stiff jab the Haney throws all throughout the fight. I guess Kambosos 15 minute of fame is over now. The belt is going back to the US and for sure American fighters are now going to chase Haney.

The total scores say it all, not even close. Yeah, we were expecting that Kambosos with his aggressiveness will give Haney trouble, but it didn't happen, it was a one-sided fight and I think there's no need for a rematch on this fight as it's very obvious that we will still see the same winner in the rematch.

Yeah, we were expecting that Kambosos with his aggressiveness will give Haney trouble, but it didn't happen, it was a one-sided fight and I think there's no need for a rematch on this fight as it's very obvious that we will still see the same winner in the rematch.

Exactly, it was clearly dominated by Haney, the technical fighter who won the fight and it's no surprise because he was the favorite to win going to this fight. As a fan, we are expecting a very entertaining fight but what we saw was a boring one, technical fighters should be banned, LOL. Kidding.

9 out of 10, Haney will beat Kambosos anytime of the day. And Devin made George look amateurish in that fight, Lol. You don't know what Kambosos is trying to accomplished, is she doing the Philly shell stance? with his elbow outside? Just like what Romero did against Tank Davis. But this time, George didn't adapt and just used one strategy, that is try to overwhelm Haney which is very obvious in the first 3 rounds that it is going to work and his corner didn't give him good advise.

Kambasos is a heavy hitter, however, he is not fast enough to hit Haney, and with Haney's perfect jab, it hurt Kambasos and lost his confidence to get inside and be more aggressive. I think he already knows that he will lose the fight, it's just bad for him because he didn't make the right adjustment so the fight ended up a one sided fight.

I don't understand why Kambosos was trying to outbox a very technical boxer like Haney aside from being the shorter fighter and shorter reach. I was expecting Kambosos to turn the fight into a brawl by throwing combinations of 3 to 5 punches. He was too late to let his hands go and lost his belts. He can still activate the rematch clause in Australia though. But with that boring fight outcome, it is hard to expect another 40,000+ audience in Australia. So I won't be surprised if the rematch happens in different location. Top Rank and ESPN might look for better alternative locations.
