IMO this was a war crime and the West will condemn it, but the question is: will they have the balls to go all the way and isolate Russia? For instance, Burger King and many other Western companies continue to operate there. Countries like Hungary still support Russia and help them finance their war. Is this going to change after this genocide? I doubt it.

For those who understand Russian, it is not only Putin who calls for genocide, the whole of Russia wants it:

https://twitter.com/J_B_E__Zorg/status/1510248120172617734

Those thousands of people who got beaten and thrown in jail at anti-war protests did not want the genocide to happen and would not want you to put them in the same group along with people from the street polls.

I don't believe in full isolation of Russia. All these sanctions is painful for them, but West don't have balls to hit where it hurts most - embargo on Russian oil and gas. C'mon, some countries are ready to pay for gas in rubles. And yeah, there is still many foreign companies continue to operate in Russia

Maybe it's not correct to say that all Russians support war, but it's safe to say that majority of them support it. Even independent polls shows that support to Putin increased to over 80% since start of war. Though, probably you will get different results if you will ask whether you support war in Ukraine, or do you support special military operation in Ukraine. I think these polls use second name.

And that is the crux of the problem.

The West does not fully understand how this Soviet regime operates, and how evil it is.

Everything the West (and ordinary Russians) hear from the Soviet regime is lies.

This system cannot be defeated by the West by just talking or imposing sanctions.

You need to physically kill and cut out this cancer.  Anything else is just postponing the inevitable.

Euroasian empire from Lisbon to Vladivostok. Do you think I am kidding?

That is what some Duma politicians are openly talking about.

What this war did, and the response of the West to it is created and emboldened the Soviet hardliners and they come out now
and demand action. So I am afraid nukes will start flying.

It would be a crime if a small country that has no ally will invade its neighboring country but as for Russia, it wouldn't matter because no country can stop them even the powerful ones who are against them. All they can do are sanctions which don't even bother Russia's president because they already know what to do in case of this kind of event will occur along with their mission in Ukraine. If it really hurt them, we can see some unlikely actions from them that we all don't want to see because the most affected would be the civilians and the children who are not even aware of what's going on.

Yes, their president does not give a shit about sanctions and how they affect his people. I hope that the majority of the population of this unfortunate country will soon have nothing to eat. Perhaps, at least, this will force them to finally protest and question the policies of their political "elite". Because upholding ideological beliefs is unknown to them at all.

well all media western and eastern reported about the war in donbass since the left in the west lives in their own mental world in which russians are not allowed to get their own autonomy, but nonwhite criminals are.

then its obvious what's wrong.

ukranians that support their woke government will end up being ashamed fighting for the woke extremist cause

I could see on tv many dead civilians lying hopelessly on the ground due to the long rang missiles that was send to some of the residential areas in the Ukrainian town. Russian Soldiers holding civilians hostage, attack on buildings and properties. The Russian government had committed a severe war crime that need heavy sanctioning. This is an act of wickness on innocent civilians.

From the definition of war crime by Wikipedia
A war crime is a violation of the laws of war that gives rise to individual criminal responsibility for actions by the combatants, such as intentionally killing civilians or intentionally killing prisoners of war, torture, taking hostages, unnecessarily destroying civilian property, deception by perfidy, wartime sexual violence etc.

Looking at the meaning of war crime from the above definition by Wikipedia, Russia has already committed War crime and should be charged to international criminal court to face the law and pay for damages done to the people of Ukraine.
Should that be why President Joe Biden is calling him a war criminal.

What's your view on these?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_crime

Who will investigate this matter that Russia killed civilians and pow? This type of action is very common in a war zone and I am 100% sure both sides have committed war crimes but there is no way we can conduct an investigation about those claims. In a recent activity, we have seen in the city of Bucha the streets were full of dead bodies after RF left the city. But Russian official claims those dead bodies were after they left the city.

Also, I have seen some videos that clearly show some of those dead bodies moving their hands when a military convoy was passing by. How that's possible and who will investigate these?

Investigation are already going on both US and Ukraine are documenting every incident of the killings.
Those Bodies seen with hands tied back with ropes in the city of Bucha shows clearly that this is a toture by the Russian military, no how would Ukraine purposefully have done that to it citizens in name of blackmailing Russia Soldiers. As Russia Forces took control of that area since invasion is another clear indication of who committed the atrocities

Haha who are we joking with? One country is invading the other country for whatever reasons it has and rest of the world is playing diplomacy, War in itself in any shape or form is a crime but tell me the last time when the winner was prosecuted for war crimes? Cheesy All these war crimes shit is just a joke, It's all up to the countries, some countries do maintain some sort of delicacy to ensure a good rapport after the war, while some don't think of all these things in war, Civilian target has always been part of major wars, was US right when it bombed Hiroshima-Nagasaki? I don't see the then president being put to trial for committing a war crime? Why?
It's unfortunate, but you're probably right. But after this war, everything should be different. It is important to understand that if Ukraine is not helped today, then tomorrow Putin will make claims to other countries, he will never stop. That is why at this time most of the help for Ukraine comes from countries that directly border Russia, such as Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, the full list see it here. They understand that they are next if Ukraine loses.

Well, I understand the concept of sanctions, however, an embargo on Russian oil would send the prices to the moon, for the west, while Russia would still have a market to operate, Asian countries, such as India or China. Thus, Europe would lose a huge oil exporter, leaving a gap in the market which is highly unlikely to be filled.

Russia on the other hand has committed a wide series of war crimes, with the last one being the massacre in Bucha. It's unacceptable that they've killed so many innocent civilians, while they've completely destroyed whole cities.

why was russian autonomy surpressed in donbass, the soviet union had to accept when ukranians stormed their parliament and their protests, but the russian's have to live under their bootheel. and be surpressed in the autonomy.

i am tired of both idiots, both accuse each other of being nazis and racists for good reasons,

the left has finnally reached their utopia. in which we all defame each other as racists and nazis

all that did wars comitted war crimes, all this humanism talk is about justifying the war and the leadership in fron of those that they think are working for it,

US liberalism is no less a religion than Islam or christianity.

War crimes are going to happen by both the sides. War can't go without war crimes. Sometimes they get reported, other times they go under the radar. War itself is a crime and should never start in the first place.

Russia is commiting a crime for them to go to war against Ukraine,  I don't see reason why they should take such decisions and it is affecting innocent citizens of Ukraine I think Russia is committing a crime that is why no country is in support of the war.

Yes, it has and will be punished for it, despite the fact that some heads of state still do not call a spade a spade
