Before reading your post I had never heard of chainex.io therefore decided to take a look at their website. I noticed they are probably using an older version trading engine for their exchange but their terms and condition clearly list they are a registered company in South Africa. The names and photographs of the prominent people within the company are listed.
In general terms, there is no reason to suspect there is anything untoward going on by the company but that takes on to the issue of your funds being withheld. If you gave the company one name when signing up and trading and then gave them another name when sending KYC then that automatically will raise red flags and points of concern as well a suspicion.
Without knowing how many letters of the name are different and how many names were spelt wrong, it would be difficult to judge if chainex.io have been overtly harsh to you or not. You have to accept you have yourself to blame here but if there is a just a small error then maybe the company can be contacted asking them to deal with you in a more human level rather than just in an automated manner.
Chainex locked my account and ask for verification,
when I do so they still refuse to unlock my account, the reason is because I have a mistake in the spelling of my name.
Now all my coins are lost, I hope nobody else will experience that.
