Exactly. I would not be surprised if it was more an attempt to pump the price of Twitter shares in order to sell afterwards, for example.
We simply don't know what his plans are and expecting that they're indeed related to crypto may be a bit much.

Whatever his plans may be, one thing is certain it will always be to improve his own wealth by taking advantage of what seems to be more trending and useful today. Well, selling Twitter afterwards after increasing its price might also one of his plans, or making dogecoin hype again by the use of Twitter. However, the Twitter committee don't have plans to sell it to Elon. Not that they hate Elon, but they know exactly who Elon is.

In each and everything he'll makes money. What is happening with his plans of buying more shares on Twitter is a play to influence the market. Some users have mentioned the plans of pumping the dogecoin price. For now that doesn't look like the plan. What we see here is the plan of pumping the market with his plans of buying more shares. This will surely pump the market share value of Twitter. By that time Elon will sell his holdings and exchange some other businesses.

Good thing if his plan will work out, but i think the Twitter boards are not interested in selling it to Elon, even if he is the richest man in the world. So probably, they know already the main purpose of Elon why he insisted to buy the whole shares, but the boards are making it very expensive as their defense mechanism so that Elon will back out. I hope Elon gets the point that the boards will really make it hard for him so as not to pursue the offer.

There are really some questions that are forming for this and it's not just a normal company acquisition and purchase. It's a social media that's very popular and one of the world's top websites that has millions of users. He can do a lot of things once he already owned it.

Elon can get anything he desires to get at any cost. If he pushes so hard, he'll get the highest share of twitter. If you deny him the opportunity, I think according to your post, he threatened to withdraw his share and that will affect twitter in some ways.
We all need to know that Elon is one of the most influential personalities in the world. He gets what he wants but I do not agree with Op that Elon will invest a whooping $40 billion in order to pump or promote dodge.

This time, i think its not to hype dogecoin or whatever. But more likely, maybe he will use twitter for his other plans that will bring more fortune for him. But sad to say, everything is not working according to his plan. All the boards are definitely against his offer, but knowing how deceitful he is, i guess he will find other ways so he can pursue what he wants, to the extent of selling his other businesses just to buy twitter.

You are not getting it. I believe that Elon's real intention was to expose the authoritarian stance of the Twitter Board. They shot themselves in the foot, by coming up with draconian proposals such as poison pill. Because of their actions, Twitter's reputation has been tarnished and there is a general feeling that Elon has been mistreated. I don't want to come up with conspiracy theories, but the mid term elections are only a few months away and it is a simple guess to which political party this episode will be beneficial.

I think if Elon Musk buys Twitter completely or just some shares, its value wont change heavily. During first days there will be a price splash, but in the end stocks value will increase for few percent.

But, the person that will force Twitter devs to add edit button for tweets, will definitely gonna get a lot of positive reputation, feedback or value in business. Devs has been resisting this feature for years, while twitter edit is the most desired thing from users. If Elon would push that idea forward or insist on adding it, he will be a God.

I do think that this sort of outlandish hostile takeover activity is going to attract a lot more invigilation from the regulatory bodies, which is not necessarily something that he wants.

However, the twitter board does look particularly weak right now and I don't think that there is an easy way out for them. But this situation for Elon isn't that clean either - he needs to get the funds to actually buy out Twitter if the deal goes through (which it probably wouldn't).

Like two days ago, Elon Musk in an interview says Twitter ads be better to be paid in bitcoin. Elon Musk has 82.4 million shares of Twitter which is 10.3% of Twitter. Recently he wants more of Twitter and wants to buy Twitter.

Tesla boss Elon Musk has offered to buy Twitter, saying he is the right person to "unlock" the social media platform's "extraordinary potential".

In a surprise announcement, Mr Musk said he would pay $54.20 a share for Twitter, valuing it at about $40bn. It recently emerged that Mr Musk was Twitter's biggest shareholder after he built up a large stake in the firm. He said that if his offer was not accepted: "I would need to reconsider my position as a shareholder".

We all know how deceitful Elon Musk can be, all he cares about is doge coin, not bitcoin, even doge coin rose when he bought shares on Twitter, he is only looking for ways to make doge popular and this can be effective if he owns Twitter. I believe he will fail because Twitter is never like Facebook and will never be like Facebook. His aim will only be towards making doge the dominant coin Twitter will be accepting just as he did with Tesla after his bitcoin criticism which he was wrong about but just wanted to fool people.

I think if Elon Musk really wanted to buy Twitter, he would have already bought it. Why hasn't he done this until now? Maybe this has some meaning? Maybe just talking about this is the result that he needs?While we are discussing this topic, he will earn a lot of money from this once again. I am not sure if he does, but I know that Tesla is a data company is not a myth, it is a reality. Every single driver of Tesla basically sends back data of the roads to Tesla, which they use to create a roadmap basically, and then they use it to make the cars better self-driving cars with that data.

So, that means Tesla knows how to use data, and that means Elon could use the same people to do something with Twitter as well. He is capable and he has done it before, so giving him this much data would result with something for sure. Will it be a good thing? Will it be a bad thing? How will he use it? I do not know, but I know that he would use that instantly.

If course his got an ulterior motive else, what would be the point in buying a thing if not for a purpose. A purpose that would always stay hidden until his got his paws completely over the system.
Now, its just so difficult to say if, the Tweeter CEO is going to give it up or not. Having the most shares in tweeter is some leverage on the company but one thjng is for sure, there are others that would look to buy shares too and the company could always build from where ever  it is left off. The potentials on Tweeter is so much to be crafted in to the hands of one man that would use it for his own benefits alone.

Unfortunately, money is hardly the need of these persons because, they are wealthy already. There only problem is to stay on top and that is archiveable only by being able to control the masses. Let hope this is not handed to him!

I was also thinking about the same but one thing is moving around in my mind. He is one of the biggest share holder of twitter so i guess he could force to join twitter board of directors. That position would be enough for him to do what ever he is up to. But he deliberately refused to accept that position too. Do not know why i always get a suspicious sense from his every action. May be he could use twitter to do his last exit pump from doge coin. This man love only wealth so it won't be surprise if he abandoned dogecoin in the future and start developing his own blockchain.

Well sat the moment it seems the deal went through correct me if am wrong and I also know that Elon Musk is eyeing Twitter for the sole purpose of control over the speech since the micro blogging site Twitter have been a great tool for Elon Musk and his business the move to own twitter is majorly for personal gain and seeking control of the micro blogging site.

Elon is a very smart person, spending a ton of money to buy the most famous social network in the world just for Doge to become famous is not worth it and not convincing. We don't know how many Doge he owns but I'm pretty sure it will be nothing with the 43 billion he will spend on twitter. Twitter acquisition I think its not doge related.

Based on the article I read, Elon Musk revealed that buying Twitter just wanted to ensure Twitter as a trusted platform for democracy.

Due to the fact that you brought up Tesla, The starlink for him had slipped my mind, lol! He can clearly see if everyone is using his internet from above, isn't he? Even though we could argue that it has negative consequences, it is still an innovation. I agree that it could be a good or bad thing, but he is definitely using it for innovation purposes that humanity can benefit from. When it comes to his purpose for collecting the data, I am hoping that we can all benefit from it.
