#AMD RX 7600 XT Updates:

3) Release Date = May 25th

4) Above-MSRP models get reviewed a day late!🥳

AMD is losing competition in the expensive graphics card segment. Nvidia will release the RTX 4060 and RTX 4060ti in May, so AMD is trying to get ahead of the competition so as not to lose ground in this market. It's very curious, but I don't remember such that AMD first released TOP cards, and then the budget segment, and after that the Middle series.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

AMD looks like is losing competition for real in all the graphic cards segment compared to Nvidia as Nvidia is working in a much consistent way and they are being loyal to their successful standard as they are naming the cards exactly as their 3000 series and are improving performance and keeping the cost somewhat lower.I am not seeing such a performance from AMD as I don't know what they want to do,in the gaming market they never beat Nvidia so far while in the mining zone they have beat them several times before but now in the latest series Nvidia is also winning in this market. If I had money to invest they would go to Nvidia for sure.

When I have 10 mining farms, and an old gt740 video card is installed in my computer. I was not interested in GPU performance in games, and after a good video card appeared in my PC, it was still installed in the mining farm anyway. I could not use the video card for entertainment, it was a pity to lose even a small profit Smiley
AMD has had a lot of price cuts on graphics cards lately, but that's probably the only thing they can do.

AMD really decided that their main advantage is this cheap price and they have very cheap video memory compared to competitors. They have no other options to compete. What if the green company also lowers prices?

Dr. Lisa Su, AMD CEO: "In gaming graphics, channel sell-through of our Radeon 6000 and Radeon 7000 series GPUs increased sequentially. We saw strong sales of our high-end Radeon 7900 XTX GPUs in the first quarter, and we’re on track to expand our RDNA 3 GPU portfolio with the launch of new mainstream Radeon 7000 series GPUs this quarter."

A bunch of unreleased AMD Radeon RX 7000 series graphics card have been spotted in ROCm 5.6 pull request, including the Radeon RX 7950 XTX, 7950 XT, 7800 XT, 7700 XT, 7600 XT, and 7500 XT. AMD has not yet launched its mainstream Radeon RX 7000 graphics cards, but according to the latest pull request, there are several unreleased graphics cards in for both high-end and mainstream segments. While the pull request has been removed from GitHub, it has been saved on Reddit. So far, it appears that AMD's RDNA 3 Radeon 7000 series lineup will be based on just three GPUs, Navi 33, Navi 32, and the Navi 31.

The only Radeon RX 5600 XT with 12GB memory Smiley
The mod was performed by (as might have guessed) Paulo Gomes team. They reached out to us to tell us about another project they have been working on, which is a customized Radeon RX 5600 XT graphics card.

According to the photograph and the information that was provided, an undisclosed store in Asia has AMD Radeon RX 7600 graphics cards in stock. This does not mean that the card is on sale though, as many retailers often prepare stock before the sales embargo lifts. However, this is a direct confirmation that there is indeed a Radeon RX 7600 GPU, and it is about to launch very soon.

More importantly, this leak featuring Sapphire Radeon RX 7600 PULSE GPU, so a custom model, confirms that this SKU will feature 8GB memory. This card is reportedly said to launch around the same time NVIDIA introduces its GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB graphics, which is now rumored to also feature 16GB variant later.

8K gaming at max settings now requires 11 to 20 GB of RAM. For 4K, 8 to 12 GB is generally enough. But you can play on 8GB video cards. On games with a resolution of 2K, a video card with 8 GB is enough. For games with a resolution of 4K, you need to buy 10, 12 or 16 GB of memory.

Looks like a lost war for AMD even without starting, the fact that the 4060 Ti has near double the amount of cores compared to RX 7600 means that people most likely will pay a bit more money to get much more benefits compared to saving this little money and not get the desired performance.I know that gamers will buy the RX 7600 most likely as the performance in gaming won't be that much but miners surely will buy the 4060 Ti exactly because of the number of cores which will offer better performance in mining. The 4060 Ti will also be somewhat better in gaming though but in here people can opt to save money and playing with the RX 7600.The gaming market looks like the only hope for RX 7600 as they are mostly targeting that segment with this card.

In Russia, gamers will buy a nvidia 1080 or those who have $230 will buy an nvidia 2070. There are also AMD 5600 video cards for $120. I've sold a lot of video cards to gamers, and they won't go to buy new RX 7600 for $400-$450, because stores in Russia rarely sell video cards at recommended prices.

The card was disassembled and Igor confirmed that the thermal paste had uneven distribution on the die. There were areas where there was no paste at all, clearly showing that there was an issue with application. He quickly reapplied the thermal paste the proper way and assembled the card back. This made a massive difference for the temperature, eliminating the issue. The average GPU temperature decreased from 80°C to 75°C while the hotspot temperature had a substantial drop to 93-95°C.
https://videocardz.com/newz/powercolor-rx-7900-xtx-red-devil-cards-may-suffer-from-high-gpu-temperatures-due-to-incorrect-application-of-thermal-compound.

Now miners do not take such hot video cards, but any manufacturer can have such problems. The best option is to replace the thermal paste yourself with a quality version and change the thermal pads at the same time, but this leads to a loss of warranty.
But the stock version for mining is usually not suitable.

In Europe, its price is about $ 300, but due to weak demand, the price will fall. The price of the 6600 and 6650xt video cards should also fall, because they are worse in performance than the new video card

AMD Radeon RX 7600 reference design to be fixed before market launch to support all power cables

As reported earlier, the AMD reference (MBA – Made by AMD) design has issues with some power cables. As it turned out, some 6+2-pin cables may not fully insert into the card because of the backplate design. This issue only affects some cables that have a small bump that is blocked by the overextended backplate.

Those cables have existed for many years, so it is surprising to see a new AMD reference card that cannot fit such cables. And this was only discovered by reviewers who had trouble fitting their cables. Luckily for AMD, the company was in no rush to release its reference design to the retail (DIY) market. The plan was to enable board partners first, but due to interest in this AMD design, the company is indeed planning to launch their MBA cards to the market.

If manufacturers want to change something on a video card board, there are always problems. This is not necessary, because the computer has enough space for the video card, and reducing the size of the video card is not required.

To be honest this is actually no news as these MBA cards are not on the market yet and this was a slight oversight of their design team with an very easy and cheap fix by altering the backplate slighty.

Your last sentence is just clickbait.

This problem can be solved with a file and pliers if you do not need a guarantee, but the main question is, why change the power supply connection design that has been proven over the years?
If they improved this solution with additional fuses and diodes that would protect the video card from a short circuit, that would be good. But modern video cards do not have fuses, although they were on older models of video cards. The RX 480 and RX470 had fuses after the power plug.
