There is no reason to be scared about buying bitcoin because no matter how it falls deeply, it will never drop into 0 value. So take advantage while there is big opportunity in front of us, be greedy while others are fearful. strongly agree. those who lose are those who panic to sell when they lose. but the panic selling them is sometimes justified i.e. they only come out when the price is going down and buy back from the bottom. however 1BTC=1BTC. The bear market now is different from the bear market that happened in 2018 because today bitcoin is much more well known and popular. some countries have even adopted it. so it's very unlikely to be a value of 0.

Maybe you do mean main coin because coin everything after Bitcoin is considered altcoin and there's no way that it could really be influenced by any events or hype which is attached into other coin but for some sentiments like news or events whether its a fomo or fud then there's always a chance that it could really make some effect but not not assurance.
Buying decisions will vary on someones level of risk management or factor where it is really depending whether you do act or not
