I got this notification from a telegram channel which I follow. It is a telegram channel of a Youtube influencer who talks about cryptocurrency in his regional language. When I checked the notification from that channel it stated

JUST IN: Goldman Sachs and Barclays have invested in Bitcoin and crypto trading platform Elwood Technologies.

I was curious to know that Barclays had invested in Bitcoin! Did a simple search and found the accurate story. If your read the complete article you will know that this investment has nothing to do with Bitcoin.

Unfortunately this is how influencers and media has been promoting their hidden objective, that is to earn money no matter what can be the consequences and what it may end up?

This is why you need to do a search before believing anything promoted.

That's why I never follow so-called experts who are nothing more than ordinary influencers who use cheap tricks to earn a dollar more. It's even worse if you're exposed to them 24 hours a day through notifications, which in my opinion really doesn't make sense and turns a person into an addict who just stares at the screen all the time.

I believe some news source were to an entent not to be treated as genuine and reliable and that's why I personally don't give in for reading any whow news that are not from a reputable source, bloggers make use of key words just to entice us read through their articles of earn per click threads, we have to be very care especially some news could appear to be too real to be true, in such scenario then an alternative consult may be made regarding such before believing or spreading such news as well.

There are some also that may come with a malicious attacks embodiments unknowingly, those kinds of punicode sites that targets phishing accounts details, i will advise to also verify a news from source, content and site used just to be in safety and off any form of an attacks and their shit posts.

No wonder lately almost all social media, telegram, Youtube, Twitter, Facebook talk about Luna, news about Goldman Sachs and Barclays is not much different, Bitcoin investment.

We are aware, not a few who do not seek authenticity are ultimately caught in the trap of fraud, the lure of gifts and so on, for that what you said I agree, don't immediately believe the news that is going viral, it's not necessarily true that fraudsters have loopholes to take advantage of situations like that.

A little smart and careful thinking, can avoid fraud attacks.

they are not interested in the truth, they just want to clickbait stories to get more viewers to get paid more

its like TV doctors. if your too busy being on TV selling snake oil's then your not actually being a real doctor treating real patients(dr Oz, Dr Phil, and that idiot paid by alex jones). anyone that has time to do book tours, speaking gigs at conferences and regular podcasts/vlogs is doing it for the money, not for the actual desire to speak honestly/informatively

These content creators are making money for the views, that's what click bait is.

If you don't like what that content creator has made, unsubscribe to him and never follow any of his contents anymore. He's just one of the many that keeps on doing that.

It is because the interest for cryptocurrencies, mainly for bitcoin has became huge. So, anything that they can capitalize and twist a story and just use some headlines to catch attentions of their viewers and crypto enthusiasts, they'll do it.

No one watches a video that says negative about crypto, people would just love to join the FOMO if there is because they believe that Bull run is forever.

Yeah, I understood your problem the first second that I read your first sentence of your post. Rule number 1: never believe any influencer, no matter how influencial they are. Especially when it comes to important matters like investing your money or buying a certain product/coin.

They obviously only advertise something if they get paid or otherwise renumerated for their efforts. Only trust yourself.

A lot of people keep falling for the "influencers" and their scams but see it as an expensive life lesson instead of a mistake. Next time, do your own research on whatever you want to invest in and do not listen to others.

Well it clearly says "invested in Bitcoin and crypto trading platform Elwood Technologies", so it means, money was invested in an "Bitcoin and crypto trading platform".
Not Bitcoin directly like it looks.

But ofcourse, it can be intended to generate more views.

Any type of information that interests you for a reason, then double-checking is of the utmost importance. Doing investigations and seeking the truth from various sources is what I often do. Because swallowing the raw information that is shared will only generate a lot of doubts. Even so what you are doing is a good way and don't trust only one source. Especially when it comes to investing, where you have an obligation to know the truth factually. Think critically and always find out until you get the answer.

Clickbait news is the truth of the world right now. Just be aware and read all the information yourself. The reality is that if they just make the headline something boring related to the news itself then it would not be getting that much attention. SEO changed the news world too much, the more clicks you get means the higher you will be ranked and the higher you will be ranked means that you will be getting more clicks and that is why they changed all headlines to this clickbaity stuff. Not going to really change anytime soon either because having a lot of clicks results in getting paid more and that's all they care about at the end of the course.

Yeah, such influencers simply love clickbait titles and other cheap tricks to attract attention. They are not interested in the truth, they just want to make money out of everyone's ignorance, but anyone who read the full story can see right through the BS.

That is just sad. By using this tactic, they simply spread the false ideas and information that can lead people to make the wrong decisions. That is not only irresponsible, but it is downright harmful, especially for kids and others who might follow these actors.

I feel you man, Influencers like this do piss me off a lot as well. Nowadays, as information gets easier to find, more unreliable sources pop up which makes it quite bad to trust a single source alone. Just goes to show that like how televisions were used for personal gains and agenda by the media back then, social media platforms nowadays are also experiencing the same greedy manipulation caused by the same selfishness of the capable individuals or groups. Which is why I never follow any shillers/influencers and only hear about them coincidentally. Although, I still watch sometimes but just to hear about new hypes and all so I can do my own research about how worthy are the ones being mentioned and yes, some are true but not all.

Indeed spreading false rumors and wrong information is a sad thing that is why we need to verify it through other sources but verifying them is a hard task because often times publisher of these wrong information spreads it on different sites with different publishers' names.  The sadder thing is when reputable sites exaggerate things just to get more views and clicks.

In my country this is something normal, for example the person will hear that in place Z something X happened and when it comes time for the news the person will see something else and then the person will understand that what they saw first was disinformation (fake news) as we have called these kinds of things. In the crypto market this has reached a scary level, it is the same as in my country, that's why I stopped reading news about cryptocurrencies a lot because they are news with rumors and few truths and this trend is not changing and I highly doubt it will change anytime soon

It's happening all the time and no one can totally avoid clicking such news. At some point everyone will fall for it. It only gets worse when you access some bitcoin content through smartphone and the google app starts tracking any bitcoin content online and notifying you all day long. This is the most annoying way to get notified about the worse clickbait crypto news disponible on the internet.

I think these kinds of news only lose for those claiming bitcoin is dead a new altcoin is going to take its place.

Why the hell people believe in them or even follow them I don't know because they only speak crap about the market and are paid influencers spreading rumours but the mistake is on part of people believing them and taking investment decision based on what they say without doing their research.So best is to stay away from them and use your own mind.

Said it before, YouTube influencers are not real. They are just there to make money and nothing else guys. In fact its not worth it to follow such stuff on telegram as well because they could take you to the wrong direction as well. These days all the social platforms are just there to make money. Create some videos keep publishing them until they get shit loads of subscribers who believes in them and keep watching the video on daily basis. They show the advertisement, they get paid believers get screwed in wrong investments.

Its good you researched it before publishing. There are noobs who would just believe in such news and think there are opportunities if we go down to that road. This is just general news, but think about the influencers who would be spread rumours of shitcoin projects.

In a way it has something to do with Crypto currencies because Elwood Technologies is a cryptocurrency trading platform....   So OP actually got angry for nothing.  

I am not saying that influencers are some times not full of bollocks ....but this time it was not the case.
