I agree with op, there are currently alot of altcoins in the market right now that will never see their all time high again, it is a crucial time and investors are adviced to be very selective of which project to invest in, it is true that most project are down right now and now is the best time to get in, but do not invest in a project because it's prove is cheap now compared to what it used to be, do a proper research and be sure of what's in the road map that will guarantee a price increase in the future, like i said before, many projects will never see their all time high again.
Am currently holding an altcoin that it's market cap has dropped from $188m to $2m, but after doing some research, I decided to still hold and even buy more due to what is currently being developed, it's time to research properly before investing.

Yeah, it's going to be survival of the fittest now for the majority of the altcoins in the market. Some of them might live, but majority I think will die in this bear market. Not only that, there could be exchanges that are going to closed in this bearish trend just like in 2018. So it's going to be very tough for everyone, but for those who have seen this in 2018-2020 sure knows what's coming and how to adjust in this cycle.

Exchanges dont just close in the bear market if there is no hack,I feel most of the hacks either in bear and bull market are more of inside jobs. I also think decentralized exchanges will survive any bear market, more so DEXs rarely get hacked. The best advice is to reallocate in stable coin and get a job to save fund. Some feel the bear market will not be like previous market although nobody know how it will differ.

Unless you think, this is not dip point don't buy at this market price since there is a room for a further drop on prices. The recovery will be slow but steady for many altcoins that have fallen down from the ATH price, the bull market cycle will happen right after the end of the bear market cycle. Since we don't know when the bear cycle ends, it is too early to invest. My suggestion is making investment in small steps and get a better average $ cost.

No one is sure about the next recovery, and only those who are risk takers can have a good win. If you are still afraid, better to just invest on the top altcoins so by this you can have a small assurance that those altcoins will rise again. The best thing to do during this time is to wait patiently, wait for the best price to buy and while waiting, learn how this market works so in the next pump, you know what to do already.

Bitcoin is the right choice for the current bear market conditions because bitcoin will provide great returns in the bull market later. For an altcoin project, I guess it won't be easy to find it because there are so many altcoin projects each of which could rise after a bear market. But maybe the top 25 altcoins can be an option to invest in because the price can go up again following the development of bitcoin prices which will rise later. But researching altcoin projects is a must to find what we want and so that we don't go wrong in choosing the coin.

But what is clear, in the current bear market conditions, doing research or just looking at the price movements of each coin can also be an option, especially if we are confused about which coin to choose. But bitcoin is a good choice for now.

In addition to potential Coins it is very rare that there are projects that can provide a suitable return, the Altcoin market is also in an abnormal condition, this shows a cycle of change in an indefinite period of time, no project can generate profits in the current market conditions, even in class the same one. This is perfect timing to buy and I agree that those who goes down will eventually rise again especially if they are a good project. Buying them can be your good investment, averaging is a good strategy as well. If you feel like learning new things while waiting for the bottom then do it, that can help you a lot.
