V3: Cryptsy - Mintpal - Bittrex: Trading spreadsheet

This spread sheet is fucking amazing.  I can't even begin to say how awesome it is to have all of this information available at a glance.  Not needing to swap between tabs, scroll up, scroll down, do math rinse and repeat has made trading so much less stressful.  The data is there when I need it FAST.  And the instances when I need data fast is usually when I'm making the BIG trades.  That's probably my favorite thing about this spreadsheet. 

Happen to notice AUR is rising quick? A smart trader starts to think; "pump n dump or natural?", "what's the volume like?", "what's the spread between ask and buy?", "whats the 24h high/low?".  Now certainly you can get this information eventually by looking all over the exchange website.  Or you can glance at this sheet and KNOW in <2 seconds.  The speed and simplicity of the data layout is a thing of beauty that can only be appreciated once you've moved on from using just the website

Honestly, I don't even want to write this review.  If the dev wasn't such a nice, helpful guy, I wouldn't.  Not because it's a bad product but because I GENUINELY DON'T WANT EVERYONE ELSE TO GET IT AND ME LOSE MY ADVANTAGE.  That's some real truth right there.

And I haven't even gone into the fact that this is still being developed and added to.  Or the upcoming addition of arbitrage tracking.  Or the recently added trade tracking.  Or the addition of Bittrex data.  Or the fact that the dev offers support for his product.  Or that he listens to actively asks for advice about changes and additions.  No, this is an amazing deal BEFORE all of that.  With all of these extra factors considered, this is the best thing available for someone who's actively trading on these exchanges.  Without this spreadsheet, you ARE at a disadvantage.

Which is ok with me.  Really.

Well, that's enough for now, just made another 10% on AUR and need to set up new buy orders.

It may be more useful to put my time into the actual application, since the spreadsheet is limited to excel 2010/2013, while the application is for all platforms.

Let's hear some more feedback before I make some decisions.

Live arbitraging will be added anyway, either in the spreadsheet or in the application.

Guy i wanted to add, this sheet really is something great - i was lucky to get it at the start price - and after seeing his plans, and the fact you get all updates for free, really makes it worth the very small amount of money he is asking.

Thanks. I've gotten enough feedback for now. I'll post some screenshots within 1-2 days of what I already have build.

Do you have any ideas for the name of the trading application?

I was thinking about:

• Tradehub
• Mintpal Auto Trader - not really suitable, since it will cover more than only Mintpal

Changes:

• Sound plays when you're making a profit/loss or if your investment breaks even. Place the sound.wav file in the same directory as the spreadsheet, else it will use window's default notification. If you don't like this sound playing all the time you can either shut excel's sound down in the volume mixer or just remove the coding in the VBA.
• BTC/LTC markets are now more clearly defined and their corresponding volumes are set apart.

It's good but it needs another big exchange in it for comparison.  I found I haven't really been using it as of yet.  It would be cool if it knew all your balances too.

• When double clicking on a data validation list a combo box will show. This will autocomplete on input.
• Query optimized. Should work 20% faster now
• Bittrex almost done

Please tell what kind of graphs you want to see in the Cryptsy tab. Im not sure what should be implemented there. Feedback is appreciated!

1. Could you please also add Bid/Ask for Cryptsy - so far I can only see last trades and having Bid/Ask data would I'm sure be very helpful to many people
2. On the Mintpal list I can see that some pairs change position - when people do additional calculations with the data it would be easier to do if they didn't change cells
3. Also I have a suggestion regarding the trading platfom. A big part of retail, specifically spot forex trading is done on Metatrader platform. If you could connect major crypto exchanges into the platform in a way where all of its features and trading would work it would be a big deal and I'm sure you'd sell a lot.  Basically why would you create your own trading platform when you can use something the industry is used to, it's finished and you just need to work out the connections to exchanges.

These two are big ones for me as well.  The Ask/Buy has been indispensable in my trading and the data moving between rows has been a massive headache for pulling the data for other calculations.

Regardless, this Spreadsheet has been a godsend.
