I am facing problem with dash electrum wallet. Someone please help.

Hello Everybody!

I am facing a problem with dash electrum wallet. I was holding some dash about a year ago in my dash electrum wallet. Recently I can know that dash electrum is no longer connected. what should I do now? I have the recover phrase. I tried to recover wallet by using dash mobile wallet. But this says ''bad recovery phrase''. What can I do now? Please help someone if you know how I can recover my wallet.

If dash Electrum wallet is the same as Electrum, do this:

• Go to "Addresses" tab (View->Show Addresses) and check which address(es) contains balance from your last sync.
  If you think that the coins have moved, check each address with a blockexplorer.
• After finding which addresses have coins, get their private keys by right-clicking on an address and select "Private key".
• Copy the key and use it to import your funds to another wallet (of course, select an import method that accepts private keys).

But can you install it?
If so, just reinstall Dash Electrum and restore your 12-word seed there, then do the steps I've given.
Just go with the blockexplorer method since you cannot sync it to see which addresses have coins.

@sujonali1819, try to find a compatible version of the wallet that would support the seed you have - the official site lists several desktop/mobile wallets available.

I have downloaded the dash android and ios app. after putting the phrase when I click on next it's say ''bad recovery phrase''. but I am pretty sure my seed is correct.

Imho this may not work at all, since (at least in the case of Bitcoin) the Electrum seed is not matching the standard BIP39 seed; I'd guess that this could be the the reason for "bad recovery phrase" error.
However, for IanColeman's (offline, safe copy, remember?), in theory you should:

1. Enter the 12 words in the mnemonic box
2. Select DASH in the coin combo
3. Maybe play with the tab from under Derivation Path (you may have to get to one or another set of addresses)
4. Import the private keys to an actual wallet.


I think that a better approach would be to find an Electrum that actually starts and you can recover your wallet from seed (I think that it doesn't matter it cannot connect to any server), see the Addresses tab and get for the top addresses (how many? depends on how much you've used the wallet) the private keys, import those into another wallet.

Again, your Electrum seed may not work in another software.

I don't use linux,

macOS, android, windows is okay for me.

I quickly tried, but got errors. A quick search on what's going on with the Dash wallet showed shocking pictures of kids covered in blood. It looks like the Dash team is from Ukraine and decided to take the wallet offline.

What I've read on Reddit was that there are problems related to money, those images related to war, Electrum-Dash asking for money for war...

I've installed NeuroticFish' .exe in wine: it allows to create a new seed and I can export individual private keys (it crashes when I try to export all). So this works, on Linux.

Yes, named Electrum Testnet software is still installed.  But I know how actually this was happened. As I remember maybe few months 3-4 back I checked it  worked smooth.
To be honest I just check the address in blockchain don't want to touch the wallet due to long term holding.

But Yes it’s still in installed.

I tested this in wine, through VPN: it works. Got a wallet, and connects. Export all makes it crash, but individual private keys can be expected.

I don't trust this software and wouldn't recommend installing it on a normal system.
