So after a few weeks trolling various BTC websites and Reddit. One of the major themes I have noticed has been an incredible hatred of Illuminati/Masons. But why. I mean sure they have power and all but I don't see anything worse than a little graft. Moreover, they let us have cool things like cinnabuns, popcorn, Avenger movies, BTC, free medical care (Canada), freedom of religion, unlimited access to women, etc.

So why the hate.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

this is perhaps why I respect them, but I think world would be better without any groups manipulating our system (controlling).

The Illuminati are the people who determine the path of humanity by their fortune and power. Many are proven very evil but many are not. Bill Gates is one of them. He helps a lot of people and I don't think he is bad.

If he paid $25,000 for the rights to Qdos, how did he 'steal' it?

Everyone except the guy who wrote it.  He freely sold it to MS for $25000 and then got a bonus of $50000 when joined Microsoft as an employee.

Sheer speculation not based on anything at all.

This is a silly supposition based on a flawed understanding of everyone as 'equal'. Everyone is equally brilliant, everyone is equally capable, everyone is equally persistent.

Silly.  Smiley

Not exactly right and wrong, light and darkness are not absolute. Now people only remember him doing charity work, even before he was a prisoner and how.

Means not qualitative means, Bill his approach was very wise, I admire him for what he has done.

It's sad to see people continuing to propagate illuminati conspiracy theories, without bothering to do a simple google search or reading the wiki entry on the subject. If the Illuminati still existed, they would be completely in support of bitcoin and all its goals.

First. No one can prove the Illuminati exist. A bunch of rich people is no proof they are the Illuminati.

Second. Bitcoin was created to, in part, pacifically fight the status quo by changing the mind and open every day people's eyes from today's massive economic illusion. Worldwide.

The Illuminati concept is the antithesis of bitcoin and to be thankful to them (if they exist) on the bitcoin forum is to be a useful idiot. If you believe you are not an anarchist or a libertarian  but a socialist that's even worse.

Correct.  Tim Paterson was delighted to get the money.  Do remember that DOS was the last resort and that IBM really really wanted the CPM deal.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CP/M

Its worth mention that this was the first of 3 deals for Paterson - all with MS - and he was a multimillionaire as a result.

Well to answer the question posed by the OP.  I'd say they are not liked because the dumb down the general population and lie to them so they can maintain control  of power and do as they feel.  They have an anti human agenda and think they are better then everyone else IMO.

Balthazar are you insisting that this could all just be in our head or am I misunderstanding you post.  I'm genuinely curious and not being confrontational in the slightest.

No problem mate, it's just a regular off-topic Smiley

Of course there can be a group of oligarchs which represents a shadow government... But everything has the notable limits, their power is limited too... Roll Eyes
