If you get lucky, then winning is not that hard, but it's a question on why you are going to get that one lucky day that you will win huge amount? And that's what the advantages of the casinos set-in, the house edge, wherein you literally don't have a chance unless again you are lucky.

I don't understand why blaming yourself and feel guilty for others fault is an option for a to do list when someone in a family member is addicted to gambling.
Also, not blaming yourself and  don't feel guilty is basically the same thing lol.
Do you encourage gambling to your family members for you to be guilty when something unpleasant happens?
Or, do you support someone from a family member who's currently doing gambling activities?

If you understood the mathematics behind gambling, you wouldn't ask that question. Specifically concepts like Expected Value or House Edge. To gamble, with the exception of some skill games like poker, where you can make positive expected value moves, means inexorably losing money in the long run.

I believe OP did not ask the question because he doesn't know the answer, I think it is to encourage discussion in this thread.  A simple question that can trigger curiosity even if it is redundant is an effective way of luring people to comply with what the thread starter wanted. People who don't understand this get hooked by having won a jackpot some times and look for that feeling again, but if you understand what's behind it, you see that the more you bet the closer your results will be to the expected value. this is gambling, so everyone should not expect much from this. if you are here for the main reason that you think you can win every time you play, then, you are looking at gambling in the wrong way.

winning 30 times will mean if you are not greedy so not because losing 1x makes the previous turn to meaningless but because greed makes everything meaningless, so it's the player's fault, this may happen when players are willing to make big money

Look into how Donald Trump managed to bankrupt a casino, if you want to see an impressive display of incompetence. You slightly stray between two topics, why is it so hard to win and how you can help a problem gambler? It is hard to win because the casinos are either a) supplying fixed odds games or b) running a sportbook that is crunching a huge amount of data that the average player will not beat long term.

It is due to the simple fact that the house always wins. The odds are always stacked against the players/gamblers. Casual few time gamblers might face some level of success and also veteran gambler with vast knowledge. Most of the people gambling don't fall into those categories though. Just naive gamblers trying to get in on the action of the sports they watch. No bankroll management or understanding of positional play. That's the reason why its hard to win at gambling. Luck-based games tend to make a person become addicted sooner and lose everything in the long run. I personally prefer only sports betting and I know I won't make a profit so I play for fun. About having an addicted relative, we have to think that addiction is something that can happen to anyone and anything, it's not just gambling that causes addiction. alcohol, sex, eating a lot, going out a lot, all this can also become an addiction

In any gambling of chance, the default player is the loser. Casinos are not designed to make players rich. The casino exists only to become rich at the expense of the players. Nothing personal, gamblers, it's just business. Therefore, gambling should not be considered as a way to earn money. This is a first-class way to lose your money, get emotions while playing and having fun in the process. But in the long run, you will lose much more than you won and get emotions, this time already negative.

We cannot force everyone to think like what we are thinking, they have their own reason and feelings that is all valid. We should know how to manage our emotions and assets, by doing this we can know and set our own boundaries so we will never be addicted. There are some people gamble most of their time because they want to earn more, that's their life but we must made an advice to them. It is hard to win, if we will continue to play even we are having a strain lose streak and don't have a plan to pause for a while.

I agree we shouldn't blame ourselves for their action but that feeling of guilt only gets to you if you're involved with their gambling activity compared to leaving them on their own and letting them gamble whenever they want to.

We rarely win when we gamble because the percentages of all casino games are always on the side of the casino and that's how casinos manage to stay in operation for a long time. There are gamblers that do win more than usual as some of them hit the jackpot or win the lottery but the chances are so low that you're better off gambling with very small amounts so you wouldn't have many expectations while playing.

The fact is, only the gambling operators will make a profit, if you're a player even if you have a huge bankroll and you think you have a good strategy you're going to lose whether you like it or not, it's a misconception, and a bad idea if you think you can beat the house, you can only try, and it's still a bad idea to try so don't, so only accept the reality that it's hard to win in gambling don't lose a lot of money to prove that it is, because there are already thousands of gamblers who have proven that.
