It is not easy to get away if you become addicted to gambling, the hard part about that is that you are not aware that you are getting addicted or you are already addicted to it and you will only realize it when you're about to lose everything. I think we have different ways to overcome that addiction and what I discover about myself is to change path from playing gambling to playing games (that doesn't use real money) and some casinos do have demo which works for me. After all, I am only seeking entertainment rather than aiming to win big that's why I think it works for me but just like what I have said we have different ways to avoid gambling one effective thing is talking to medical professionals.

It's because the casino has house edge, so by design, they will always going to win specially if you play long games in any casino. And that's how they make money from us gamblers. As others have stated, it's hard to win at gambling because the odds are against you.  It's pretty simple.  You're hoping that you get lucky most of the time.  Unless you're gambling on sports, then you're not so much betting against the odds, so much as the amount you win is reduced so that the casino will come out ahead (yes, I understand that's literally called the odds).

I agree it is hard to win in gambling due to the non-stop attraction and pleasure that it gives to us.  We find it hard to stop when we are feeling good, entertained or happy because we wanted to experience that sensation again and again.

Why should I feel guilty, I am not the reason why they are hooked on gambling, and besides they are mature enough to be responsible for what they are doing.  And blaming one another won't solve the problem, it is best to consult a medical expert on addiction on how to cure the member's addiction.  I think it is the best path.

That is why it is good to gamble responsibly, to never be addicted and to used just the amount of money you can afford to lose. Gambling should be fun, gambling companies are always making profit but gambling responsibly will be helpful for gamblers. For different reasons, in the case of casinos, it is usually because they fail to attract customers. I will just want to give input about this statement, Bankers never lose because they have unlimited rounds to play while bettor has only a limited number of games due to the bankroll limitation. The chances are you are missing the part of the day where Banker is losing because you are not playing at that moment but try to play non-stop 24hrs while you count the win/loss of banker then you will notice how the game is just changing hands from banker to bettor which almost results to tie or some minor discrepancy. Bettors main disadvantage against banker are only the limited funds and not the game itself. The game is fair and it's up to your luck if you will hit early your winning streak or not.

Hi mate, you should consider the house edge of a casino. It is normal that in long terms, banker will always win. It isn't difficult to win a bet in gambling, the main difficult is to mantain your results without losing

This is the worst of greediness since you're win streak for 30 times and then put all of your winnings for single bet only! I never put this kind bet since I know I will lose anything that I have earn so far, this is why I never increase my bet even I have won and earn good amount of money. Look into how Donald Trump managed to bankrupt a casino, if you want to see an impressive display of incompetence. You slightly stray between two topics, why is it so hard to win and how you can help a problem gambler? It is due to the simple fact that the house always wins. The odds are always stacked against the players/gamblers. Casual few time gamblers might face some level of success and also veteran gambler with vast knowledge. Most of the people gambling don't fall into those categories though. In any gambling of chance, the default player is the loser. Casinos are not designed to make players rich. The casino exists only to become rich at the expense of the players. Nothing personal, gamblers, it's just business. Therefore, gambling should not be considered as a way to earn money. We cannot force everyone to think like what we are thinking, they have their own reason and feelings that is all valid. We should know how to manage our emotions and assets, by doing this we can know and set our own boundaries so we will never be addicted. There are some people gamble most of their time because they want to earn more, that's their life but we must made an advice to them. It is hard to win, if we will continue to play even we are having a strain lose streak and don't have a plan to pause for a while.

Just remember that casinos are made to make & earn money for themselves and they will never let you win. Why would they ? They are here for a business.

Unless I was the one who introduced them to gambling, I don't see why I should blame myself for their addiction. I could be blamed for not helping them to recover, but that's it. OP when you mentioned about addiction of a family member in gambling and said of giving us answers , firstly I thought you were to ditch out solutions from such addiction for the addicted person but only to discover they are all part of a kind of advise to the family members benefit only.

As for winning in gambling it takes a lot of resistance from greed. How do I mean, many persons after winning a certain amount of money in a bet they placed instead if calling it a day, they rather grow a spontaneous believe that they could make more winning should they go on with extra more bets for the day only to end up losing even to their capital.

Because gambling was created for just two reasons:
Bring money for those who create the games and fun for those who bet.

That's just a belief that after a 3 days straight big win, the bettor will rest in the 4th day as the bettor believe his luck will not be on his side on that specific day. But, giving a simple advice is better than being not concerned to your loved one at all. Miracle's can still happen. When they know that someone cares for them they will realize that they are wrong and they will need to stop being addicted again so that their loved ones won't worry on them anymore but if things seem to not work as intended, that is the time to call a help from the experts.

You have a good point but most of the time its the platform or casino that's the winner. How many times we hear that a casino got bankrupt because whales won huge bets, its mostly the other way around. All you said is true, so i totally agree, i have a friend who gambles frequently, he was the one that introduced me and gives me ideas of some the gambling's i do offline like sports betting, lotto and the rest.
I consider this guy addicted because most times, he ends up gambling even with money he kept for important things, he not that educated so for this reason, most of his gambling is done in a game shop, there was a time he luckily won about $580 usd, when he asked the shop keeper how he would get his won money, the game shop keeper said he would have to visit their head office with his winning ticket to claim he's money, he said ok but later didn't go to the head office, what he did was give his ticket to the shop keeper and started gambling again from the "yet to be claimed" money, he gambled with that money until everything got finished without winning a dime again.

And when we win, how do we feel like that? Isn't it the joy we feel, and we still want to win more and more? And when we feel like this, it is called Greed. So, in other words, the real winner is the Banker and not the gambler, so even if you win 30 times and on the 31st you bet on all the results, you lose, which means it doesn't matter what you won 30 times.

Now let's not prolong this conversation; what if one of your family (Father, Mother, Brother-Sister, or Wife) or relative (Uncle, Auntie) is addicted to gambling or becomes addicted? What do you do? Here is my answer as follows,

When you lose in gambling, it's the casino that gets your money. When you win in gambling, you get the casino's money. So if the gamblers win often then these casinos will be shut down as it will not be profitable for them to run this business.
