Hello everyone. I am new to the forum and also a cryptocurency novice. I havc in the past falled in to scams, and that dinted my Interest into cryptocurency. But recently a friend introduced me to this forum and I have been reading some rules here and I also see how the forum provides solutions and answers to questions from every one. The most fascinating thing is how the forum frowns at scams and cheats. I am here to learn from you experts and hope the forum reignite my interest and fate in bitcoin again. I promise to abide by all the rules of the forum and also play part in contributing to the forum.

While this forum has plenty of capable scambusters and its not easy for a scam to go unnoticed (at least not for a longer period of time), its important to mention that scams are not moderated here meaning scammers aren't banned, no matter the evidence so I would suggest you to thread carefully.

Have you read Newbies - Read before posting. From there, you will be able to read the rules and also read about merit and activities. Know that a forum is not a place to spam. This forum is not a place to scam. Avoid plagiarism and other things that can put your account in trouble, that might even lead to ban. Stay, read what people are posting, contribute, ask question when necessary and enjoy being here.

Hearing a newbie's admiration that you rejoice in protecting the forum from cheating is a bit strange.

If you came to study cryptocurrency, then I do not see the connection. If you came to "earn money," then yes, scammers are not welcome here. However, cheating is not tolerated and is very strongly frowned upon.

Just go to the forum with pure intentions, build your reputation, and don't bombard it with questions that have been answered a thousand times.

Welcome to the forum man and many of us joined the forum as newbies but with time and our interest to learn about bitcoin and crypto market as a whole have made us progress on the forum.Speaking about scams then there are many victims like from 2017 and i still believe there are many shitcoins scam today from which we need to stay away from.

The scams are exposed on the forum but still you need to be extra cautious like someone could pm you about fake service but you must be careful like looking for red flags for that particular account or is he using escrow services or not and many other possibilities are there on the forum to protect you from these scams but you have to take your steps also as scams are not moderated on forum.

This is discussion forum and you can ask any questions but they should be relevant not about asking something which is not related to bitcoin or crypto market so nobody will get tired of your questions.If you initiate heathy discussion then you could also be rewarded with merits so you see it depends on your questions whether they are tiring or not.

These days most of the newbies percentage is introduced to this forum as earning source and the results is we see lot of merit and how to rank up and earn on the forum threads by them and when they don't get it they choose to leave the forum and not standing on the promise of having knowledge over the forum so can't do anything about them as well.

Welcome to the forum. First of all you are in the right place where I believe provides 99% of the answers you will be asking about in cryptocurrency. You only get scammed easily here if your intention is just to come and get quick earnings here and as you can see the forum is filled with different types of people with different notions so I will encourage you to learn and by doing so you have to be relevant in the forum so you can read through the threads of members here.

The next post was actually not about merits but private keys and seedphrase. Which at least shows that the OP has some sort of interest to learn, or some left over from their initial contact with Bitcoin.
Whichever it is, it's good seeing a newbie who has interest in actually learning about Bitcoin and not just looking for what bounty to join in or how to rank up.

OP, you should also interact after making a thread. It's not enough to start a thread and then move to start another, follow discussions on open conversations and lock threads when you have gotten your answer.

If you have ever fallen for a scam, you must have had experiences that will keep you from falling a second time. Cryptocurrencies carry even more dire risks if you ask about scams. As you have said, you have been here once, yet you quite for suffering losses due to cams. Well, you can be a victim again if you won't be careful.
At this your comeback, I strongly recommended for you to read more and be aware of the happenings around. The more you open your minds toward crypto, the more it encourages you to stay. Think not just how to make money but also, think how helpful is this forum to other areas like financial management.

i welcomed you in bitcointalk community. And you suppose to know the objectives of this community that one of the major functions is to contribute positively for the welfare of bitcoin technology. Scam is everywhere, in the forum too. If you have knowledge and experience, you can smell scam things. However, to not fall into scam things, you need more than knowledge and experience, you must have ability to control your greed. If you can't, you will be scammed one way or another, today or in future.

The forum has trust and feedback system and many scam busters who contribute to detect, tag and eliminate scammers here. However it is not enough and we can not get rid of all scammers. They will return again and again.
