I have observed that money won or gotten from gambling is mostly spent on the wrong things and people by majority only to come to a realization when the amount left is limited to nothing.

I myself I haven't won a good amount of money from gambling that can afford me something I would refer to as expensive. But I'll try to relate this to a colleague of mine that won a handsome amount of money in millions in my national currency in 2019 that is worth about $5000 today.

Just overnight his expenditure pattern changed, started buy luxury items that he doesn't really need. What really baffled me was when he quickly  rented an apartment worth $400 dollars all in the name of changing environment.

And to cut the long story short he ended up not investing into something profitable as sum part of the money went back into gambling that at the end of the day he returned back to the environment he left us behind.
What a waste of opportunity it was!

Then I've left gambling, I was at some point between the gambling for fun and the addictment. So, better stop before than after. And I'm glad with my choice.

That's really a big thing. I believe you were a high roller, my mind have thought of buying a car out of the gambling money. But, I wasn't able to do it as I end up losing when I make a small profit. Somehow I managed to settle a friend's debt money borrowed for the purpose of gambling. This isn't big, around $200.

Not that big amount of winnings but I was able to bought laptops and mobile phone for my kids. And that time they are very happy with it so I don't regret using all my winnings.

I'm just amazed though with the story of others, how big they won and how do they spend it. Hopefully I can also got the huge windfall and probably I will go and buy a car or even a townhouse too.

I wouldn't say it's a waste of opportunity on not investing your money from gambling. For me this is not like you earn when you work hard, this is winning mate, so you are free to used it whatever you want and I don't see something wrong with your decision.

I also went on shopping spree with my family and treat them on a good restaurant and even stay on the hotel casino's for several days from the money that I won from them.

In the first place, why should we buy something that we might regret buying in the future?

Even that "thing" is unnecessary and might raise questions from others that "why we bought that?", our money, our rules. It's like rewarding ourselves. It's good that the money was used to buy something instead of still risking to continue to bet that decent win on gambling since we think we feel lucky.

Winning a big amount is an experience that's not happening to everyone. Make sure to always have a good taste out of our winnings.

Offline casino's, I was able to win huge money, enough to buy me a good second half 4x4 car that time. That time I was really addicted to slots machines and I usually bet max per pay line. It's just so happen that I almost hit a perfect on a 50 Lion slot, it was just a good hand pay.

For online platforms, just minor things though and just like the others, a good gaming laptop and then a Macbook pro and some Iphone.

Some years ago, I won a decent amount of money from a sports bet. It was the equivalent of $550 in my local currency. I was thrilled. I decided that I was going to spoil myself a little. It coincided with the time Sony announced the price of the new PlayStation 5. The price was the equivalent of $500 in my local currency. I walked into a mall and bought it. You're a lucky guy when you've purchased PS5 just as you walked into the mall. There's a shortage in its supply worldwide and until now, I can't avail one of it because of it. There are scalpers that have been keeping it and putting a high margin which makes many people don't want to buy from them. Anyone will be totally upset if it happens to them just as what happened to you, can't you bring the PS5 on your trip when you went for a vacation?

I can't remember if there are things I've bought from my gambling profits. If I win big, I usually keep and wait until the right time comes of spending so, I don't know what to suggest but I think the most ideal is I'll do the same as you, for the ps5.

Once I won from gambling and bought a bicycle for a girl friend, price $270 and she was very happy because she didn't have a bicycle before. Honestly, I was previously hesitant because the money I got didn't necessarily get win again, but considering that my friend really needs a bicycle for work, I have to be willing to share, because the salary she receives is only enough for food and rent etc.

I never experience to win a huge amount in gambling. So the things that I bought are not really expensive. When I won in keno lotto, (it happened that its an outlet inside the mall) after winning I treat my sister to eat and I buy clothes for both of us. I didnt regret buying the clothes because its useful for my everyday work. Well, when I have money regardless of how I had it, I dont buy things that its not really necessary. Like if I earn in my investment, I will only buy the things that are useful and needed and not because I just want it.

Myself too had the same experience. However I never had the access to pay directly. I bought it cashing out bitcoin. Further I tried the best to multiply the funds with me to buy my girl a scooter, in the event of doing so I lost everything. Finally I didn't buy anything for her, and if I have kept what is available with me I could've given her atleast a small gift.

Didn't win much in gambling on buying something expensive but answering the topic then I do usually purchase online goods and not physical ones though it's cheap because most of the time I do really consider on saving up rather than on spending those coins specially if I do profit in gambling and the amounts been used on gambling also do came from profits itself but I'm not really spending it all.
It would really be that ideal if those coins would be save for the future but there are instances which you cant really avoid on not to make out some spending specially if you dont have
some fiat left on your pocket or simply say into those times where immediate purchase is needed and ive been into this kind of situation.

I don't know maybe there isn't because I've never had a big win, maybe the biggest one is around $400-500 and it's only used for ordinary things including paying debts.
Usually if I get a win from sports betting or other types of gambling, I prefer to keep it as a reserve fund for unexpected important things or use it again to gamble. It must be nice to be able to buy something we want or that is useful to us as a result from winning.

I won a jackpot in FortuneJack Dice twice, the first one is $18k+ and the next one is $6k+.  This almost covers the cost of a small townhouse worth $26k  so I  just add an extra fund from my earnings in the signature campaign and bought it.   It feels good to buy something from both earnings and luck in gambling.  Though I would not advise making gambling a source of our income but rather take the opportunity to buy something that will appreciate over time when luck presents us the opportunity of winning a huge amount of money.

My biggest purchase after gambling winning was a new bicycle for 800 Euros. Half the money for it I got from betting on CSGO matches and the other half from playing poker, roulette and blackjack. As soon as I reached my goal I withdraw all the money before I lose it again. Afterwards I started gambling from 0 again and build up a new bankroll.
I have a friend who doesn't like to gamble really. Several years ago it was the only time we could convince him to come to a casino with us. We were 4 guys who gamble regularly and my non gambling friend. At the end of the night we all lost our money and had nothing left. Only my friend who never gambles managed to get back a few hundred bucks, he only bet on 0 on roulette and won. That night he paid for all our dinners but never gambled again afterwards. I cant remember anything expensive I've bought. First I try to save money. Second, I rarely want to buy anything expensive for my self, also my family is not in a need of something expensive. A new car - perhaps, but I havent got jackpot yet. Third - I havent made huge bets yet, to be expecting to win huge. Cant afford that yet.

I would say, that money I won online (I gamble with crypto) I prefer to hold. The money I won offline (usually a bet on a boxing fight for example) I spend on drinks for my friends.

The most expensive thing I've bought from online gambling is a computer game on steam. I've bought it for 60$ which that time is already a huge amount of money as I am at college. During those years, cryptocurrencies are not well known and converting it to cash is difficult. I just exchange that winning to a steam wallet code then bought a game. I don't regret buying that as I enjoy playing it. I still play it sometimes when I miss the nostalgia on that game.
