In last few years we have some good development in soccer in this region, and they can do much better than right now just need discipline and strong system which bring youths on good platform right now they need to develop this game from grassroot which is the best option and can do good results for them.

Yes, we can see it from the various achievements that have been achieved by the Indonesian national team. I personally quite surprised to see Indonesia will play in the Asian cup competition after they managed to beat Nepal with a score of 7 - 0. This is the fifth Asian Cup competition that will be played by Indonesia, they have played in the Asian Cup in 1996, 2000, 2004 and 2007. I don't have much hope for this team, just qualifying from the group stage would be an extraordinary achievement.

well, we have the same opinion in this matter, to be able to qualify from the preliminary round is already an extraordinary achievement. The problem of football in the Indonesian federation is very complicated.
I think there is a lot of homework that the federation must do to make Indonesian football more advanced, one of which is the lack of professionalism and discipline.

Countries those are stable economically and politically having better quality and development is all fields as in sports also but sadly in Asian region we have nothing positive in many countries, so they are suffering in sports as well just few countries are on good run like South Korea, Japan and now few countries from Gulf region are also on good move but these mostly doing good just because of their resources and money they have no strong enough structure as we have in other regions.

Indonesia is also suffering badly just because of this they need professional approach and strong enough management for having better results, but sadly they're not on positive list and having serious troubles which could be deepened if they fail to manage things in positive way for next few years.

there is gap to far between Indonesia and South Korea , in mentality they have different gap although in few years ago when Evan Dimas era they could compete with South KOrea in U23 Asian Cup. Since this young player move to senior team , they didnt play well anymore and there is no one know why its always happen to Indonesia team. Alot young player send abroad so they will have good experience and skill , but when back to national team as if this is back to zero again.

I think the problem of Indonesian football is very complex and maybe it will be better if it is addressed from the bottom,

The last time the Indonesian national team appeared in the Asian Cup was in 2007, when the Indonesian national team was the host, the Indonesian national team had to improve in order to compete with other Asian countries, actually Indonesia has many talented players, even the national team supporters can beat any supporters, even countries. Korea and Japan are both leading soccer countries in Asia for long time, and they have very strong structure and quality players those are serving into UEFA for many years which is now having amazing way of improve their quality with both are economical strong, so they can invest good funds for development which is not possible for many other countries in Asia with this all now Australia is also part of Asia which also increase quality and Iran, Saudi Arab and Qatar are other countries in Gulf which are keen about this sport, and they are improving their structure and developing their system which is good with this all they can rule into Asia.

Japan is surely more enthusiast about this all, so they are leading country in Asia, and they can do this again as well even now day by day competition is going to be tough for all countries which is good for the game in this region which need good environment and better facilities for good results like Africa.

If you refer to the history of the Asian Cup, the Indonesian national team is not regular in this championship and they have only participated in the Asian Cup four times, namely 1996, 2000, 2004 and 2007.
However, on these three occasions, it is known that the Indonesian national team has never passed the group stage of the Asian Cup. In 1996, 2000 and 2004 Indonesia was always in the last or lowest position and 2007 was in the third position.

This poll is just hype by Indonesian community here on this forum as we all know they are nothing in this Asian Cup as they are not well settled team or having any chance to win this event we have much better and quality teams which are giving their best and have higher chances for winning this event but sadly until now we have no announcement from AFC about this as 17 October is the new deadline for submitting application but as things are going right now most chances Korea and Australia could be hot favorite for hosting this event but still last decision is coming after this announcement and then things could be clear about this all.

Indonesia is currently doing good job but still it's not easy as they are having to face few giants from Asia which are already having enough quality and well-developed in this game after adopting system and structure few years back.

The only reason why the AFC teams are not performing is because of lack of quality in domestic leagues.
