Japan is the record holder of winning the Asian Cup four times, and in this tournament Japan is still one of the strongest candidates to win the Asian Cup. Regardless of what you said and I don't think it's an indicator of why Japan can win the Asian Cup four times, Japanese football is more advanced than other Asian football, especially Southeast Asia.

However, in recent years, the development of football in several Asian countries has experienced a lot of improvement so that the Asian Cup this time is more competitive. IMO, some of the candidates who will win the Asian Cup 2023, Japan, Australia, Korea, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, they have the potential to appear in the final of the Asian Cup 2023.
But I personally have more attention for the current Qatar squad, Qatar is a cup finalist asia 2019, and it looks like qatar will again win the asia cup 2023.

Japan is undoubtedly one of the best teams, and not only that, but in the World Cup I know they will do a good job, for now I think that the Asian teams have a great option, I don't know how the current Japanese team will be playing, but I only remember when Nakata was one of the most iconic players in Japan.

For now I have a lot of faith in this team, I don't know if you remember the 2002 World Cup they said that the team at that time had players in training who had seen the anime of super champions, so it was funny because many were waiting for plays from the series, but at that time the advertisements by Nike were very good, so the Japanese had many things to offer, now I imagine they have improved.

CAF teams are always at a disadvantage, because many of their top players migrate to UEFA nations. AFC doesn't have any such disadvantage. The only reason why the AFC teams are not performing is because of lack of quality in domestic leagues. The best AFC players opt to participate in European leagues such as EPL, rather than playing at home. Two decades back Japan even tried the idea of importing a few players from Brazil and giving them the local citizenship. They thought that it will improve the quality of the local game. But didn't worked out that well.

Improving quality is long term project which need patience and investment even Japan and few more Asian countries now can afford this but still they are not doing things like this even India is currently stable and with the advantage of big market they can go ahead with this project which can give them good success, and they could be good in quality but cricket crazy nation is having nothing special for this all and fa behind I check their rating is almost nearly 90 which is surely matter of shame.
 
Bringing foreign players is surely never been good idea they need to go ahead with grass root specially good competitions in school level which can bring good prospect and quality players which will help them for increasing quality and better system still I am hopeful about few countries in Asia they can do better, and we can improve our quality but as already mentioned it's long term job.

Do you mean Hidetoshi Nakata, if so. he had the status of the best Asian footballer in 1997, Nakata had played in the Serie A league, besides that there was Nakamura, Honda, actually there were many shining Japanese players.
Currently, several Japanese players are playing in several European clubs, Kyogo Furuhashi, Takumi Minamino, Daizen Maeda, and many others.
Although they don't play in very big clubs, but with experience playing in the European League, at least Japan has a big chance to win the 2023 Asian Cup.

But what made an impression on my memory at the world cup at that time was the South Korean player, Park Ji-sung, he played at Man United and Anh Jun-hwan who played in Serie A. they were able to take their squad to the semi-finals, although decorated with several controversy.

Currently, in Asia we have two nations which are heavily investing for bringing good results and development: India and Indonesia which is good sign because both are well populated countries, and they can bring good changes with this investment club's and structure can give them good future in long run specially India is with their current image of Incredible India doing amazing job even it's not easy for these both countries because of conditions and with India is surely cricketing crazy country, but now it's time for having positive development beyond this all.

2026 is also big chance for these countries to have their chances in top 48 countries and bring more fans base which is surely a guaranteed for good investments and more development in this game right now main problem is bringing this game from grass root which will give better results because players from school level could be more skilled and have better chance for performing at the top level.

Yes, Shin Tae-yong really brought changes to the game pattern of the Garuda team, namely Indonesia. I even saw a very classy goal by Indonesia against Curacao. Here UEFA stealing players from CAF and CONMEBOL we have two strong factors first better life and secondly money factor which are surely attractive for every person and right now as things are going in Africa and CONMEBOL I believe it's not bad decision from them with they are doing good performance for UEFA countries in clubs, and they are fighting for their place into national team which is not easy thing.

In Asia, it's not easy to be having good results in this game as most of the countries are adopting this late and many are still having not required infrastructure which is important for the development of the game with finances is also big issue because now soccer is full time job in many countries, and it needs good amount for having good results which is not easy with situation is never been attractive in many countries and corruption is also one of the big factor.

but some local media reported, Shin Tae-yong is targeting two wins and one draw.
Of course he hopes to qualify from the group stage. but unfortunately the match schedule has not been set, so we do not know who will be the opponent of the Indonesian squad later. and almost all of the contestants who will compete in the 2023 asia cup are very tough opponents, this is not an easy job for the young garuda squad and Shin Tae-yong.

I don't know what to say about the tragedy, for sure if FIFA gives heavy sanctions it will be very detrimental to us.
ah it really makes me disappointed, in your opinion, who should be responsible for this incident ? local officials who fired tear gas, or our fans who did not comply with existing regulations, so that unwanted incidents occurred.

it is clear that our country's reputation will be increasingly tarnished from the point of view of football, how PSSI neglects to apply rules and regulations so that the clubs and supporters do not have high discipline.

Unfortunately, when everyone was happy with Indonesia's participation in the Asian Cup, Indonesia had to get a minimum of 5 years of sanctions. from AREMANIA (AREMA fans) said that supporters who go to the field only to ask for photos. I don't know the truth. However, the actions of the police and the committee to allow tear gas were a fatal mistake. Even the supporters had difficulty getting out, because the emergency doors were closed, while tear gas was fired indiscriminately.
