I actually checked on coingecko and those were the figures which were given. When you consider that the price was not flat at $30k, but actually a little below it, and the price now is hovering above $18k; considering the values of the couple hundred dollars, it runs up to about 35.9% drop.

Mainly talking about the last 24 hours where Doge has barely moved, and btc dropped ~$2K.

Doge has dropped about 9% (that's not barely moved) within the past 24 hours, with Bitcoin on a drop of ~11%.

Bitcoin is a lot more expensive, so a drop in it would be massive (relatively) when you compare it with other coins.
Consider the percentage difference and not the actual price movement.

While I ain't taking anything away from Dogecoin, I like to mention that it already had its fall (it could still fall more) a few weeks ago while Bitcoin remained relatively stable above $30k until recently. Doge isn't really that bad as highly criticized in public spaces, anyway. Those who think it's a fun and memecoin aren't going deeply into what Doge is actually. Come to think of it, I've read several reports projecting Bitcoin to hit $12k in this crash. It's already doing $18k at the moment. Perhaps, we could see $12k in days to come or not. I guess my opinion would be that Doge underperformed from the highs a great deal, so maybe it's already been waiting at the bottom of the cliff for everyone else to catch up...  Bitcoin is down something like 70% (ballpark figure) from the highs, while doge is down more than 90%.  I have a hard time considering that outperforming.  Sounds more like wishful thinking.  Doge has some bright spots though.  If Elon does manage to buy Twitter, I wouldn't doubt it if he adds Dogecoin tipping and tries to really get that currency to take off as a way to show you like tweets somehow.  As far as shitcoins that were created as jokes to scam a little money from meme users, Doge is the best out there.  I wouldn't go expecting it to break $1 anytime soon though.

There is one current theory out there, that the reason for the collapse in the stock markets and crypto markets,
is that the Baby Boomers in the US are leaving all speculative investments and moving to safer investments such as cash and bonds.

Do a simple chart analysis of Doge/USDT volume on Binance for 2021/01/27 and 2021/01/28, I'll give it to you-it was close to 100 billion coins per day.  Also consider this is on one exchange, one market ONLY.

In circulation are 132,670,764,300 DOGE


So in two days the trade volume exceeded the total number of coins in circulation, almost by two.

So how many is Elon (or his child or whoever it was) still holding?  Regardless of whatever I think that number is, it is clear to me that an extremely significant % of Dogecoin has been taken off the market and has not been dumped or we would be sub 1 cent by now, easily.

In other words there may be a whale that has taken hodling all the way to hoarding.

An epic dump may be incoming if these are liquidated (and if I am correct), but I believe there is a good chance the number of holders has been drastically reduced.   And the whale(s) that still hold have yet to dump.

But that's every investor's right to buy any coin after selling another. This is done as a strategy to make an income during this bear market time. Before that was your only option to save the value of your money. Sell Bitcoin before a continuous bear market happens for an altcoin. Not stablecoin because they don't exist way back.
If they did buy Dogecoin then so be it, but I doubt they will be bag holders of it. The only purpose could be saving their ass.

Doge is also very much down from its All-time high we should also keep this in mind. If you check the charts and calculate the monthly drop percentage of all these 3 coins you will get your answers. It's not stable. If you talk about specifically the last 24 hr it's not dropped but we can not say it is in better condition than other coins if we calculate the monthly or yearly percentage of drop. Mainly talking about the last 24 hours where Doge has barely moved, and btc dropped ~$2K.

Even so, I don't think that means much for dogecoin in relation to Bitcoin. Holders of dogecoin might not see the significance of selling because the price has dumped already at least compared to where Elon hyped it to. I hate when all these meme coins are for whatever reason been compared to Bitcoin and you do also realize that Bitcoin in just the past 2days recovered about $3k from trading at a low of $17k+ to now trading at $21k+

Elon is big Influencer of doge coin it is not unknown to all crypto lovers. Since he has established himself as a successful investor in crypto as well as exposing his interest in doge coins, he will not give up easily. He is definitely planning on it. Maybe in the near future we will see its reflection.

It's a meme coin after all even if doge coin reaching ATH right now at the middle of bearish I wouldn't be surprised for the simple fact that it's being called meme coin for a reason.
Doge could increase its value just because elon shill, if elon desires to shill for it, it could literally increase in value right now.
Though as I've seen from the doge chart it seems that the coin also have massive correction so it's more or less still following the trend.

The comparison in the fall of Doge is about the same as with the legendary coins which are BTC, ETH and other founders of the entire cryptography industry. And as rightly noted here, some altcoins will no longer be able to rise to the level that they reached in the past. All this has already happened and will happen again in the future. It's funny to hear that dogecoin was stable while other coin fell. When we all know that dogecoin has been tagged with different names ranging from ponzi scheme to shit coin and every other derogatory names that are associated with falling values. My greatest wish is for dogecoin to regain its worth during the next bull run.

It’s not really just Dogecoin that’s doing that, some other Altcoins too maintained their state (although already poor) and I won’t consider this as a win because these coin already has low prices and their drop won’t be as noticeable as Bitcoin or Ethereum, this fact doesn’t make the solid even at this time, I feel when the markets get better many of this coins won’t have the pump momentum as bitcoin would have by then.

I see, this could be the reason why their price remained even though the two heavyweight cryptos are falling. maybe they've just already sinking just before the top coins are falling and they don't need to follow the trend since they are already there. It's a worse thing to do when you decide to invest in those coins because they might even fall lower when bitcoins don't recover this month or the next month. Right now, there's no need to rush but the good thing to do is, wait for the right timing to enter the market to avoid bull traps.

I think doge is being supported by some people, they buy the coin when the price hit a certain point.
Doge coin is only meme coin, but it is often to make people surprised by its price.

Wouldn't be surprised if Elon didn't support Doge. Recently, Elon has been embroiled in lawsuits with doge, many claiming that ELon advertised and gave doge buying advice to many investors causing them to lose money. If Elon abandons doge and chooses another shitcoin to play with, this is the end of doge.
