I guess this statement is now not applicable anymore.

There's no denying that today's growing market is partly due to the rise of altcoins. However, I do not think the growth of Bitcoin is entirely the result of altcoins. People have started to see the difference of bitcoin and its superiority over fiat or any alternative currency.

Bitcoin is still the top choice because it is decentralized and not controlled by anyone, the supply is limited and as a market leader, the entire price movement of the market depends on bitcoin.

What bitcoin has achieved today is indeed a phenomenal thing, it only took 10 years to become popular and make many global companies and world millionaires interested in bitcoin, of course the thing that makes bitcoin grow very fast because of a strong community, they don't care about being banned from many countries and focus on buy and hold so that the demand continues to increase.

when emphasising on the influence of cryptocurrency, it's quiet simple. because from my perspective i understand that the measure that makes bitcoin to keep increasing is due to online or internet method of marketing the cryptocurrency kind of lives. What about other cryptos? They are like btc which internet is also required to operate though you got a point there that if more people hang out online then chances are that they will find out bitcoin because it is not a secret anymore and many ads are circulating online in relation to it.

There are also search suggestions that pops up about btc. In my response to the op, on why btc grows faster compared to other cryptos I think that is because btc is the first coin and before other cryptos came out, many people are already putting their money in btc but no it does not grow forever because there are times like this where btc is dumping but this event isn't also permanent.

When people see a huge rise in the price of btc during a bullish trend, it can't but fascinate them and they buy. The more people buy, the more and faster the price rises. The price of bitcoin is rising faster than other crypto because more people are investing in it than in other projects. I assume that bitcoin price will always rise due to the deflationary pattern, but over time, the growth rate will slow down significantly and there will be no such growth surges as we saw during the last bull run in the distant future.

I also have the same thought as you, most people invest in bitcoin because they see the price of bitcoin rising too fast and they hope that if they invest in bitcoin they will also become wealthy very quickly, very few people will care about technology.
