Seems like at least the assumption that there are more Gen Z entering bitcoin is not quiete correct.

A forum poll might not be accurate enough to reveal the reality, because many people don't answer them and a higher percentage of crypto adopters should participate in order to collect enough data to reach a conclusion. Despite this, it's well known most crypto enthusiasts are from millennials' generation (1981 – 1996 birth date). Youngest generation isn't too interested in investing money, it seems. At least for now. DIGITAL 2022: BIG RISE IN CRYPTOCURRENCY OWNERSHIP

I don't have any statistical data report but based on my assumption usually ages 18 to 35 are people who have open-minded when it comes to crypto. Based on this article, half of the young men in the US it seems showing more interest on cryptocurrencies like trading and investing which is calculated almost half of the population, it's 43%. Maybe old people might didn't have an interest in technology or even using computers. And most of us now in our age are more fluent on gadgets, so I think that's the reason.

I would say maximum number of Bitcoiners on this forum are from 2013-2015. So, Age of Bitcoiners above 30 is going to be the maximum (atleast in this part of the forum) as most of the young ones are still wandering in Altcoins section. People do stupid stuff in young age and be more gentle as they mature, Bitcoin is that maturity which they will get after some years.

Curious to see what the results are in the above quiz over the course of time. From what I’ve gathered just with personal experience is that most of the earlier “coiners” tended to be male and relatively younger (under 50 years old). I don’t think that’s changed much of the course of time but it would be nice to see it do so.

I don't really think that are so many women involved with bitcoin or any kind of cryptocurrency. But anyway, I think that is a nice statistic. When I learned about bitcoin there were very few people younger than me that were also interested about it. I am happy to see new generations buying bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. I found this website with some different stats based on Google Analytics:

I've made my vote. My guess is that the largest population of Bitcoin owners belongs to the Millennials, those who were born from 1981 to 1996. The second largest which might have a huge size gap from the largest is probably coming from Generation X or those who were born from 1965 to 1980. But there is probably a growing population of Generation Z as they are getting more mature and more responsible in terms of their finances. And since they are the ones who are most exposed to rising technologies, they could more easily embrace Bitcoin.

You can read my topic and see the trend What trend? The trend is average age of Bitcoiners is lower and lower. It is very natural trend. Because the old people will hardly to accept new things, new technologies, etc. The younger people are more keen on adoption to new things. It is applicable for Bitcoin and cryptocurrency too.

Mostly Middle ages is whom voting for majority so maybe teens are mostly not yet still inclining to enter crypto, although I remember in the booming of Axie infinity there are many teens in my place even those friends of my sons are lurking towards crypto but now they subside and stops supporting because of the losses they experience from trusting this game and other NFT games in regard to that .

That's just the beginning they have given up on how they will be able to trust and embrace bitcoin at a time like this if they are mentally weak. Maybe they just want to feel success without wanting to feel failure first. There are also many other young people who have a strong support for the development of krito like in my area and they also will not give up whatever happens in the future because they know that whatever is expected, there are risks first.

Another reason why most bitcoiners will be between 30-40 years age is that for investment and trading in bitcoin requires capital and usually teenagers do not have that capital to invest. I have also selected my age in the poll but i don't think it is important for me to write about it here. As most people will not like to tell their age publicly on the forum.

Since your question is age of Bitcoiners/Bitcoin enthusiast, then the poll is mostly not accurate since not everyone here are Bitcoin holders, this is more like "Age of Bitcointalk users". @Uneng's graph also not really correct since cryptocurrency isn't only Bitcoin, but any coins listed on CMC is also cryptocurrency. I'd say @bitmover's graph is the most accurate so far. It's just interesting if old people with 65+ ages are still interested with Bitcoin while they're mostly doesn't know much about technology.

There may be that those who are Bitcoiners for 6-8 years no longer hang out here, instead they have their own business already. So the poll made today here may not be so much relevant, not alone.
Also many people who have bitcoin may not even know that this forum exist, especially older generations who don't do everything on the internet.

Back in 2016 most of the friends that I met in crypto are around 16-20, So most of us are 20-30 now and I am thankful for crypto because I met so many friends and made some great memories with them.

Maybe old people might didn't have an interest in technology or even using computers. And most of us now in our age are more fluent on gadgets, so I think that's the reason.
Which as of right now, is probably the contributing factor to younger ages generally being more involved with Bitcoin. It's a currency, the only real difference is it requires a certain knowledge of computers to secure effectively, which is harder the older you're because you haven't grown up with computers. Unless, you have a specific interest, you've likely steered clear of them. Although, computers are becoming more common in older people now, I imagine in the next twenty years this won't be an issue at all. As pretty much every generation will have some sort of familiarity with computers, and I imagine most will depend on one whether it's for personal usage or within their working environment. I mean phones are pretty much owned by everyone these days, and the majority of them being smart phones.

People that are 50yrs old above won't pay interest that much learning bitcoin, even using digital wallets to ease their life is difficult for them. My parents are at those age and they don't know how to transact online. They are even skeptic when I pay some of our utility bill using my phone only. The technology on their generation is not advance making it difficult for them to adapt. While us who are below 30's where technology has been a necessity to our daily lives and we are more open-minded with these type of innovations.

We need thousands of votes to have a somewhat reliable and bulkier statistic to work with. With one or two hundred votes it is hard to make a reliable assumption. Also, how many people use forums nowadays? Also many people who have bitcoin may not even know that this forum exist, especially older generations who don't do everything on the internet.
I would argue it might be the opposite way. Younger generations seem to prefer videos over text and social media over forums due to more pleasant UI experience and more comfort. I rather see older generations searching for a forum than young ones. But maybe I am just wrong. - Regards, PrivacyG

You may be right with what the so far (limited) data shows. There is nobody under 18 and also just one person from 18-22 so far. I would have thought there were many more pople in this age group here and also there should be many more people here since the usage/understanding of computers and phones is way higher. So my assumption would be that most of them are at reddit or similar sites, maybe also telegram.
