Yeah the both to score bet seems like the better on for a game between this weak Ajax and this good Aston Villa, but the main thing to know is, for anybody who is not following Eredivisie Ajax this season is trash, not the good ajax of past years, and Aston Villa is clearly in one of his best seasons but we can see they already lose some games in the season without so much sense, in fact the other day against Luton they play a horrible second half.

Aston Villa has a much better performance than Ajax at the moment, the performance of Aston Villa and Ajax in domestic competitions is very different. Aston Villa has appeared impressive this season in the Premier League, and has the opportunity to finish in the Champions League zone. Meanwhile, Ajax has experienced quite serious setbacks since the season started, luckily now they have improved a little. The match has started, both teams fielded their best squads, even though Ajax acted as host, Aston Villa had a much greater chance of winning the match.

Considering the current form, PAOK is favorite here but still Dinamo is not without chances and it will mainly depend whether Petkovic shows up tonight. My bet on this game is under 2.5 goals. PAOK for sure won't rush and Dinamo anyway has issues scoring goals, even in our national championship.

Expextected goals and fun game between Ajax and Aston Villa, but it was quite an opposite. Big tension, dirty game and not many dangerous moments.
Maccabi Haifa - Fiorentina was such an roller coaster with 7 goals scored combined and hard Fiorentina win. And big statement from Fenerbahche, 3:0 win against dangerous opponent away.

Yeah, that's biggest surprise today. Difficult to comment something without watching game, but 1:4 defeat is big, difficult to expect comeback here.

Them Israeli teams make good underdogs, I've always thought that. Just a long fall from grace for the Greeks. On the other hand, Fiorentina went to Haifa and got a win.

Fenerbahçe, Aston Villa and Ajax have good odds of winning the Europa conference league. Winning becomes part of the deal when a club is having a wonderful moment winning and thrashing the necessary points. There's no how we would be watching an elite team struggling to win games. There are club that are automatically been selected as favorites because they have what it takes to lift the good points. There are promising clubs that are fighting harder we could anticipate in the tournament. They become desperate for winning scores simply because their cause doesn't meet at ends.

Contrary to expectations, Fenerbahce almost secured the round with a comfortable 3-0 away win.I was expecting this match to be a tough one for Fenerbahce but Fenerbahce really played at a high level.The performances of Ismail Yuksek, Oosterwolde and Ferdi really dazzled Fenerbahce. Especially Oosterwolde's goal in the 84th minute, not as a stopper but as a winger, was a great detail.Now that Fenerbahce have beaten this opponent, they can wait for their next opponent.They won't lose at home anyway.

Nothing can be argue about statement, today is another day for the second leg and the two teams are ready to continue with the fight they started, no goal has been recorded and this is the last option for both teams to make it to the next stage, Aston villa are known this time around as an active team that have improved in their performance to even create space for themselves in the Champions league zone. Fenerbahche lost against Union 0:1, but when you win first game 3:0, you can afford such loss.
From evening games Aston Villa - Ajax looks most interesting. Very sceptical about Ajax chances, now they're struggling again, same like in beginning of season.

If we hadn't scored with an advantage in the first leg, we wouldn't have made it through today. We played really ineffective in the second leg. If we had only won by one goal in the first leg, we wouldn't have made it through today.

I really like Alexander Blessin, the coach of Union Saint-Gilloise, I think he has a very bright future. He played for Antalyaspor for a while when he was a footballer. I think he knows Turkey and Turkish football. I think we should start transfer talks with him now. He can do more at Fenerbahçe than he did at Union Saint-Gilloise.

Whoah who would have thought Olympiakos would win by such a large difference especially after they had lost one time already against the same team. I guess they really did build on a strategic advantage this time. It must hurt a bit for Maccabi to lose in this way and get knocked out by such a large goal difference.

If any Maccabi fan traveled to Europe for this their trip was cut short. Props to Olympiakos for this

Aston Villa stocked Ajax, and they seem as prime favorite to win competition, Fenerbahce is also solid, but one can't just lose a home match against Royale
others are a bit lower quality clubs

Fiorentina has low odds, but IMO they are far from it

I'm glad for Fiorentina managed to qualify further in Conference League and I think no matter who they face next , they should qualify further too because I have them to reach finals this year.

Meanwhile , Paok did a spectacle last night by scoring 5 goals and whoever took those 6x odds to qualify on Paok should be very happy right now.

Plzen ...the only team who played poorly both games and to be honest Servette did an outstanding job this season in Conference league so massive prompts to them.

Aston Villa ...looks like the giant that should be stopped at some point or they will end up winning Conference.

WHEN WHILE THE EUROPA CONFERENCE LEAGUE QUARTER-FINALS, SEMI-FINALS AND FINAL BE PLAYED?
The quarter-final will take place on April 11 for the first legs, with the second legs a week later on April 18.
The semi-final first legs are on May 2, and the return legs are on May 9.
The final, in Athens, is on May 29.

Ajax in England now, this match is actually the most exciting one in the night to me, even in Europa the 'best' choice is Roma Brighton or Marseiile-Villareal, but none of those clubs are both recently exciting to see like Ajax-Villa, agree?

I do agree that Ajax vs Aston Villa will feel a little bit like early finals game. I am not saying that winner of that game will go on to win it all, last year I said the same thing for Barcelona vs United and I failed, but it is definitely two great teams without a doubt. If you want to watch any conference league games this season, I am sure this should be at the top of the list.

I think Aston Villa may have a better chance, Ajax hasn't done so well in recent years and I think Aston Villa has been on the up lately as well. This is a knock off stage game so we would never know ,anything could happen so we should be ready for any result. I wagered on Villa to win but I had no confidence in that bet at all to be fair.

And so it all came and it all proved me and you wrong.

Totally agreed. Ajax were already a mess since the beginning of the season. They were lucky to not lose in the first leg but they couldn't escape the inevitable in the second leg...    So this can't be called like one of potential final matches in this tournament. Ajax just needed to get really lucky with the draw to be able to have a chance to reach the final round.

I agree about Aston Villa - Lille also. The highest quality draw among all is this one. Aston Villa should be able to advance to semi finals though but Lille can resist more than Ajax I think.

The current odds for the biggest favourites to become the champions:

Aston Villa probably pulled the hardest team they could pull, Lille is still a decent team. To be fair at this stage all teams are quite decent compared to Aston Villa, but they still seem like the favourites. Luck on the 1-4 matchup is that the winner of Aston Villa and Lille matchup will be playing against the Fenerbahce Olympiacos matchup winner, which means that two of the highest rated teams in this conference league season, will matchup during semi finals.

So whoever goes to other side of semi finals, will face someone easier compared to what could have happened. This part is so confusing usually is that any team could lose on this round, or could win the whole thing and this is why it should be hard to bet on these.

Olympiacos - Fenerbahche should be epic pair and I already imagine what atmosphere will be in both stadiums. 50/50 IMO, Olympiacos made such crazy comeback against Maccabi.

Ajax were starting showing soe better football and improved results in the middle of seasons, but in recent weeks we see same terrible Ajax that we saw in beginning of season. Tey barely survived against Bodo/Glimt, it was difficult to expect that they can eliminate Villa.

Do you guys feel that it's a little "weird" feeling that teams you have basically no idea about normally, I mean you do not follow them or anything, you just check their scores and all that, and odds, that you support maybe even more than some fans on betting day?

I mean we are talking about something that is a bit weird to me, I do not support any of these teams, and probably never checked over half of their squad too, I know some players in all of them, but if you tell me to count the best eleven of these squads, I could probably do it for Villa, and even that's doubtful, whereas I can't do it for any other team %100 guaranteed. So me, supporting these, just because I bet on them, like I am a fan for the past 30 years, is a little weird feeling .
